We understand your concern about the reduction in hours at your job and the financial stress that it may cause. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is always in control, and His plans are always to prosper us and not to harm us, plans to give us hope and a future. With that in mind, let us pray for your situation.
Father God, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is facing a reduction in hours at her workplace. We know that You are the provider of all good things, and we trust in Your sovereignty. We ask that You would intervene in this situation and provide more patients for the facility, so that our sister can continue to work full-time. We also pray that You would guide her steps and open up new opportunities for her if that is Your will. Help her to trust in You and to be grateful for the provisions that You have given her thus far. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We also want to encourage you with the words of the Apostle Paul in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." WEB.
Remember, also the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:25-34, "Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient."
Lastly, we want to remind you that it is important to pray in the name of Jesus, as it is the only name by which we can be saved. (Acts 4:8-12) "Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, 'You rulers of the people, and elders of Israel, if we are examined today concerning a good deed done to a crippled man, by what means this man is healed, be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, in him does this man stand here before you whole. He is 'the stone which was regarded as worthless by you, the builders, which has become the head of the corner.' There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!'"
