Disciple of Prayer
Dear heavenly Father, I come to you today to boldly ask for your favor that I will be offered a full time job after my interview tomorrow. I pray that it will be a job where I can use the talents you have granted me, gain new perspectives, skills, and experiences while continuing to look after patients, and most importantly live by your teachings. I have undergone many ups and downs over the past 3 months, being told I had a shot then that I didnt. However you have continually answered my prayers I know that there are no coincidences and every step in this process has been you telling me you is listening. My interview is tomorrow. Please pray that I will be hired following my interview, and allowed to start as soon as possible. There are so many contingencies, but the power of prayer is strong and the reason I am being interviewed despite being told a job offer is unlikely. Please join me as I pray that this job God is will grant me brings me a step closer towards my long-term goals. Lord, I pray also for the wisdom to form good relationships with my colleagues and superiors. I pray that your miraculous favor shine upon me in all aspects of my life including my application, interviews and abilities so that I will walk out of unemployment and underemployment to the future you have prepared for me. I pray for forgiveness of my sins if there are any l have yet to confess and repent. Keep me close to you so that I remain humble and honest, and remain content and thankful as you lead me on to the life of abundance. Lord, I pray for your guidance and help to always be the cheerful giver of things and any form of help to those in need.

We hear your heart, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we join you in lifting this matter before our Heavenly Father. Your request reflects a deep trust in God’s sovereignty and a recognition of His faithfulness even in the midst of uncertainty. We are reminded of Philippians 4:6-7, which says, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." You are doing exactly what Scripture encourages, bringing your needs before the Lord with thanksgiving and trust.

First, we want to affirm your acknowledgment of God’s hand in this process. It is no coincidence that you have been given this opportunity after being told it was unlikely. Proverbs 16:3 tells us, "Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed." We believe God is opening this door for you, not just for employment, but to position you in a place where you can glorify Him, grow in your gifts, and serve others with the compassion and skill He has given you. Your desire to use your talents for His glory and to care for patients aligns with His heart, and we pray that this job will be a perfect fit for you.

We also want to encourage you in your prayer for wisdom in forming relationships with colleagues and superiors. Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ." As you enter this new season, may your interactions reflect Christ’s love, humility, and excellence. May your colleagues see Jesus in you, and may those relationships be marked by mutual respect, encouragement, and godly influence.

We must also address the importance of walking in forgiveness and repentance, as you have rightly prayed. 1 John 1:9 assures us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." It is beautiful that you desire to remain close to the Lord, humble, and content in His leading. Psalm 37:23-24 says, "A man’s goings are established by the Lord. He delights in his way. Though he stumble, he shall not fall, for the Lord holds him up with his hand." Even in the ups and downs of this journey, God has been holding you, and He will not let you go.

Now, we want to gently rebuke any spirit of fear or doubt that may try to creep in as you await the outcome of this interview. 2 Timothy 1:7 declares, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." You have already seen God’s faithfulness in bringing you to this point, and we believe He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Do not let the enemy whisper lies of discouragement or unworthiness. You are a child of the Most High God, and He has a plan and purpose for your life.

We also want to encourage you to remain a cheerful giver, as you have prayed. 2 Corinthians 9:7 says, "Let each man give according as he has determined in his heart; not grudgingly, or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver." Your heart to bless others, even in your season of waiting, is a testament to your trust in God’s provision. May He continue to fill you with His joy and generosity so that you can be a blessing to those around you.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith and expectation, lifting up our brother/sister who is seeking Your will in this job opportunity. Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness in his/her life, for the way You have opened doors that seemed closed, and for the way You have sustained him/her through the ups and downs of this season. We ask, Father, that You would grant him/her favor in this interview. Let Your peace guard his/her heart and mind, and let Your wisdom guide his/her words and actions. We pray that this job would not only meet his/her needs but also position him/her to use the gifts and talents You have given for Your glory and the good of others.

Lord, we ask that You would go before him/her and prepare the hearts of those who will interview him/her. Let them see the value, skill, and godly character You have placed within him/her. We pray that this opportunity would be the next step in the path You have prepared, leading to long-term fulfillment and purpose. Father, we also ask that You would help him/her to form godly relationships with colleagues and superiors, relationships that honor You and reflect Your love.

We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or discouragement that may try to hinder this process. We declare that no weapon formed against him/her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand on Your promise that You will supply every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Lord, keep him/her close to You, humble, and content in Your leading. Help him/her to remain a cheerful giver, blessing others even as You bless him/her.

Father, we also ask for Your forgiveness for any sins, known or unknown, and we thank You for the cleansing power of the blood of Jesus. May he/she walk in the fullness of Your grace, mercy, and favor. We trust You, Lord, to bring this to pass according to Your perfect will and timing. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to walk into that interview with confidence, not in your own strength, but in the Lord’s. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." God has brought you this far, and He will not abandon you now. Keep your eyes on Him, and trust that He is working all things together for your good. We are standing with you in faith, believing that God will open the right door at the right time.

What a tender place to be, the night before an interview, carrying both hope and the memory of recent disappointments. We hear in your words a real wrestling with uncertainty, but also a steady thread of trust that God has been present in the steps so far. That takes courage, and we honor it.

Those up-and-down months you've walked through aren't wasted. They've sharpened your ear to God's voice and deepened your reliance in ways that ease never could. The very fact you're going into this interview, when by all accounts the odds seemed slim, is itself a quiet testimony. We're grateful you shared it with us.

After your interview tomorrow, consider this small practice: before you even know the outcome, jot down one or two things you observed about yourself during the process, perhaps a moment you sensed God's calm, or a question that let you speak honestly about your gifts. Those notes will become a touchstone later, reminding you that your worth and calling aren't held in suspension waiting for a yes or no. For tonight, let yourself rest in the simple truth that you are already a person of purpose, faithfully seeking the work God designed for you to walk in.

---

Lord, we lift up this one You love. Calm the anxious thoughts, settle the nerves, and give a clear mind in the interview. May kindness and competence mark every exchange. Grant favor in the timing and details, things only You can orchestrate. Whatever the answer, sustain hope and steady this heart with the peace You've proven faithful to provide. In Jesus' name, amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

The turning of one’s captivity often begins in the secret place, when the knee is bent not alone for one’s own burdens but in earnest intercession and humble pleading. You have tasted that the Lord hears, for even when the door seemed shut He has kept it ajar, and this very interview is a token that He has not left you to darkness. Yet do not think the battle is won only in the asking; it is won in the clinging, in the ordering of your cause before Him with arguments fetched from His own promises, and in the sweet resignation that says, “Nevertheless, not my will, but Thine.”

You pray for favor, and rightly so, for every good gift descends from the Father of lights. But true favor is not merely the opening of a door to employment; it is the smile of His countenance, the sense that Christ is yours and you are His, whether the interview brings an offer or sends you onward to another field. To rest in that is to find your soul’s anchor. The Lord turned the captivity of Job when he prayed for his friends, so you shall find that as you look not only on your own need but also on the needs of those around you, your own deliverance will ripen. Let your prayer be mixed with thanksgiving for the mercy already given, and let it rise not as a surface word but as the deep cry of a heart that dares to take hold of God.

You see many contingencies and you fear. Yet consider: is anything contingent to Him? He thrusts out the enemy before you. Go to the interview not with a trembling that distrusts, but with a holy confidence that your times are in His hand. Order your case before Him with all the skill that the Spirit gives, plead the precious blood, plead the promises meant for your necessity, and then leave the issue. To restrain prayer through unbelief, or to attribute a success to accident afterward, would be to rob Him of His glory and yourself of peace. Ask for the job, ask boldly, but let the greater petition be that you might glorify Him whether in plenty or in scarcity. The life of abundance you desire is first the abundance of grace in the inner man, which no earthly disappointment can diminish.

You seek forgiveness of sins yet unconfessed, that is a sound mark of a soul awake. Keep short accounts with God. Bow low before Him as Job did, saying, “I abhor myself and repent in dust and ashes,” not because the outward trial is removed, but because you have seen Him. That is the true turning point. Then will you be kept from charging God foolishly when the answer tarries or takes an unexpected shape. He allowed the ups and downs that you might learn to trust Him, not the creature. Let tomorrow be a day of faith: go with your request laid out upon the altar, but bind it there with the cords of submission, and wait. If He gives the place, use it for His praise and the good of those patients committed to you; if He denies, know that a better portion is prepared. The Lord cannot fail the soul that puts its confidence in Him alone.

Father, we bring ### before You and ask for Your divine favor as he/she interviews tomorrow. We pray that You open the door for a full-time position where he/she can use the talents You have given, grow in skill and experience, and care for patients while living out Your teachings. We thank You for carrying him/her through the ups and downs of these past months, and we trust that every step has been guided by Your hand. We ask that he/she be offered the job and allowed to start soon. Grant wisdom to build strong relationships with colleagues and superiors, and let Your miraculous favor shine upon his/her application, interview, and abilities. Lead him/her out of unemployment into the future You have prepared. Forgive any unconfessed sins, keep him/her humble, honest, and thankful, and guide him/her to be a cheerful giver to those in need.
