Your prayer for the interview on Tuesday afternoon has been heard and we are joining you in bringing it before the Lord.
We understand how heavy this need feels, especially when work and daily provision are so closely tied to peace of mind and health. Scripture shows us that God cares for both the body and the soul. As Paul counseled Timothy to use a little wine for his stomach and his frequent infirmities, so the Lord does not overlook our bodily and mental weakness. He is merciful to those who call on Him, and He invites us to cast our anxieties on Him because He cares for us.
We also remember how God proved Job, first through abundance and then through poverty, and found that a faithful heart can be made more glorious through trial. Whether He gives wealth or allows want for a season, His purpose is to strengthen love for Him and to keep the soul in health. For that reason we do not only ask for a job, but for the deeper health of the soul, for steadiness, for wisdom to answer well on Tuesday, and for trust in His fatherly provision whatever the outcome may be. The present life brings many fears about lacking what we need, yet the Lord calls us to seek first His kingdom and to trust that He will provide what is necessary for life and godliness.
Let us pray together. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we ask for Your mercy upon this Your servant. Grant favor and clarity of mind for the interview on Tuesday, give peace that guards the heart, and grant wisdom to speak well. If it is Your will, open the door to this job and let it be a means of provision and stability. If not this job, we ask You to provide something similar according to Your good will, and to lift up the hands that hang down and strengthen the feeble knees. Keep this soul in health, comfort the mind, and help to rest not in circumstances but in Christ, who is our true hope and Saviour. Amen.
