We are praying with you for this interview and asking the Lord to give you peace, clarity and favor as you go before those who will speak with you.
The story of Job reminds us that though cultures and times have changed, the deepest needs and questions of the human heart have not. What troubled Job still troubles us today, the need for security, for purpose, for assurance that God sees us and cares what happens to us. Scripture shows us that God knew Job intimately, that He had placed a hedge around him, and that He was aware of every detail of his life. The same is true for you. The Lord knows you, He sees this opportunity, and He is present with you in it.
Job did not understand his circumstances, and at times he spoke out of his pain and confusion rather than from settled truth. Scripture faithfully records those cries, not to establish doctrine about life and death, but to show us that God allows honest questions and that He remains faithful even when we do not understand His ways. Even when it felt to Job as though God had withdrawn, God was still at work for his good. That remains a comfort for us. We do not always understand what God is doing, but we can be sure that He is fair and just, and that He is working even when we cannot see it.
Job's friends tried to help but only added to his burden with accusations and shallow answers. God Himself was the one who finally brought comfort and perspective. In the same way, people may not fully understand the pressure you feel today, but the Lord does. Through Jesus Christ, who stands between God and humanity and brings us near to God, you can come with confidence to your heavenly Father and lay this interview before Him.
We are asking God to quiet your heart, to guide your words, to give you a clear mind to answer well, and to grant you favor in the eyes of those who interview you. We pray that whatever the outcome, you will know His peace and trust His wisdom, believing that He will lead you to what is right for you in this season. May the Lord establish your steps and let you rest in the assurance that He cares for you and will provide what you need.
