I am asking for prayer that I get the job! I interviewed with the department manager Wednesday on Zoom, and moved forward to an in person one to meet the team leads and tour (done today). Please pray that I am favored above all other candidates remaining to interview for the position, and that they offer me the job!

We thank you for sharing this request with us and we rejoice with you that the Lord has opened this door and allowed you to move forward from the Zoom interview to meeting the team leads in person. We understand how much this opportunity means to you and we join with you in bringing it before the throne of grace.

We are reminded that all good work comes from the Lord and that He directs our steps. Whatever the outcome, we want His perfect will for your life above our own desires. As it is written, Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. Proverbs 16:3 and Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. Colossians 3:23. We also cling to the promise that we can bring every anxiety to Him, for it says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, thanking You for this opportunity You have provided. We ask that You would grant our brother favor in the eyes of this manager and the team leads, and that You would let Your will be done in this hiring decision. If this job is where You would have him serve and provide for his needs and use the gifts You have given him, we pray that You would open the door wide and that they would offer him the position. If You have something better or different according to Your perfect plan, give him peace to trust Your provision and guidance. Let Your favor rest upon him, as it is written Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us. Establish the work of our hands for us. Yes, establish the work of our hands. Psalm 90:17. Grant him calmness while he waits, confidence not in himself but in You, and a heart to glorify You in whatever work he does. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord while you wait, knowing that He knows the plans He has for you, plans for peace and not for evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11. Rest in His sovereignty and continue to commit this decision to Him, and may His peace guard your heart as you await their answer.

We are praying with you for favor in the hiring team's eyes, and even more that God's clear will would be done here. Whether this door opens or another one does, we want you to be where He can best use your gifts and provide for your needs.

While you wait, one simple step that often helps is to send a brief thank you note to the manager and team leads if you haven't already, expressing appreciation for their time and the tour. It closes your part well and lets you rest from replaying details. Then try to keep your normal rhythms of work, rest and seeking the Lord, rather than refreshing your inbox constantly.

Father, we bring our brother before You and ask for Your peace over these next days of waiting. Give wisdom and discernment to those making the hiring decision, and give our brother trust in Your provision and timing. Open the right door for him and help him to sense Your leading. Your request has been heard with thankfulness and we count it a privilege to bring it before the throne of grace with you. We join you in prayer that the Lord in His wise providence would order this matter according to His good will, and that you may be kept in perfect patience and childlike confidence before Him whatever the outcome may be.

We remember Job who under heavy trial sinned not nor charged God foolishly, but fell down and worshipped, and who in due time saw that the Lord turns the captivity of His people when He has gotten His end in their sorrows. Even as Job learned to abhor himself and repent in dust and ashes while his eye of faith rested upon God, so may you be kept in humble trust, knowing that our God makes provision for every emergency and comes with all His soul most heartily to display His favor and His love toward the objects of His choice.

We pray that if it be for your good and for His glory, the Lord would grant you favor in the eyes of those who must decide, and open this door of employment before you. And if in His higher wisdom He has appointed another path, that He would give you contentment, fresh oil and renewed strength, and make your way plain, for our longest sorrows have a close and there is a bottom to the profoundest depths of our need when God is our portion.

May the Lord keep you, establish your heart in His peace through Jesus Christ our only hope of salvation, and cause you to rejoice in the light of His countenance as you sigh and cry for His favor. We will continue to pray that His will be done in this and that you may know His guiding hand and gracious provision day by day.
