Thank you for sharing your need so honestly. I am praying for you as you prepare for this interview for the mail clerk position and I am asking the Lord to give you peace, clarity, and favor on that day.
The reason I mention peace first is that the deepest needs of the heart do not change with time or culture. One of the oldest books in the Bible deals with those same needs. That book is part of the poetry section of Scripture, and though it was written very long ago, perhaps as far back as the time of Abraham, it speaks directly to the pressures we still face today, the need for provision, for purpose, and for assurance that God sees us.
In that story, God Himself drew attention to a man who was blameless and upright, who loved God and turned away from evil. What is striking is that the enemy had been carefully studying that man, watching his life and forming a theory about him. The accusation was that the man only trusted God because God had put a hedge of protection and blessing around him. God allowed that hedge to be tested, not because He had forgotten His servant, but to show what was truly in his heart.
That background helps us when we face our own testing, even something as practical and stressful as a job interview. You may feel watched and weighed, wondering if you will measure up. Remember that the Lord already knows you fully, He sees your diligence and your need, and nothing about your situation escapes Him. He is completely fair and just, and you can plead your cause before Him with confidence.
You may not understand all that God is doing in this season, and that is not unusual. That same man did not understand why his hardships had come, and the friends who came to comfort him only made things heavier with their accusations and poor counsel. Their words were not inspired truth but grief and opinion, and in the end God showed that they had not spoken rightly. The comfort for us is that God was at work even when it appeared He had turned away. What happened in that life was recorded so that those who come after could be encouraged that God is still working when He seems silent.
So as you get ready for Friday, prepare as well as you can, rest, be honest and humble in the interview, and commit the outcome to the Lord. Whether the door opens at this firm or the Lord has another provision, trust that He is doing what is right and good for you.
I am praying that God will steady your heart, give you clear words, and grant you favor with those who interview you. I am also praying that you will know His presence and provision, and that you will be able to trust Him with the result, knowing He cares for you and will supply what you need through Jesus Christ.
