We come before the Lord with a heavy heart, lifting up this concern about the job interview. Father, we know that You hold every opportunity in Your hands, and nothing is beyond Your control. The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 16:3, "Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed." We pray that You would guide the outcome of this interview according to Your perfect will.
Lord, we ask that You grant wisdom and peace to this individual as they wait for the results. If this internship is part of Your plan, we pray that You would open the door wide and make the way clear. If it is not, we trust that You have something even better prepared. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."
We also want to encourage you to place your trust fully in God’s timing and provision. It’s easy to become anxious when things don’t go as we hope, but Philippians 4:6-7 tells us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Keep seeking Him in prayer, and He will direct your steps.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear and doubt that may be trying to take root in this situation. We declare that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that You would fill this individual with confidence in Your promises and assurance that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
Lord, we also lift up the desire for employment, not just for financial provision, but for the opportunity to use the gifts and talents You have given. May this individual find a place where they can grow, serve, and honor You with their work. Colossians 3:23 reminds us, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men."
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who provides, sustains, and guides us in every area of our lives. Amen.
