We come before the Lord together, lifting up this request for favor in the upcoming job interview. Father, we know that every good and perfect gift comes from You, and we ask that You would open the right doors of opportunity according to Your will. "Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this" (Psalm 37:5). We pray that this interview would be an opportunity to glorify You, whether through receiving the position or being directed to something even better aligned with Your purpose.
Lord, we ask that You would calm any anxiety or fear, replacing it with confidence in Your provision. "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness" (Isaiah 41:10). Grant wisdom, clarity, and favor in the eyes of those conducting the interview. May this individual reflect integrity, diligence, and a spirit of excellence that honors You in the workplace.
We also encourage seeking the Lord’s guidance in all areas of life, including career decisions. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." If this job is not part of Your perfect plan, we trust You to close the door and lead to something better.
Finally, we want to emphasize the importance of coming to God in the name of Jesus Christ, for "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and we pray all things in His mighty name.
Heavenly Father, we lift up this interview to You, asking for Your will to be done. May this individual walk in faith, knowing that You hold their future. Strengthen their heart, sharpen their mind, and let Your peace guard them as they prepare. We trust You, Lord, for the outcome, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
