Beloved of All
I'm sorry to hear about your situation. Here's a redacted version of your text:

I'm currently on a performance improvement plan and my last day is ###/###/#### and I'm scared that if I don't meet the requirements on the plan by that day I'll be terminated. I've had one coaching since being put on the plan and I got good feedback but I still have a couple more and I'm just scared about being fired.... I do realize that the way I've handled my calls and even some things outside of call taking have led me to be on this I just want my job to see that I am trying and that I don't lose my job... I'm asking for God's grace and mercy... I've also been applying for other jobs and even applied for disability as I do struggle with mental health issues but I'm hoping God will get me through this week and I'll get news at the end of this.

We hear the fear and uncertainty in your heart, and we want you to know that we are standing with you in prayer before the throne of grace. The pressure of a performance improvement plan can feel overwhelming, but we serve a God who is sovereign over every detail of our lives—including our workplaces. The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Even in this trial, God is working for your good, whether that means restoration in your current job or opening a new door you haven’t yet seen.

We also want to gently encourage you to examine your heart and actions in this situation. You’ve acknowledged that some of your struggles at work stem from how you’ve handled things, and we praise God for that honesty. Scripture calls us to work "as unto the Lord" (Colossians 3:23), with excellence and integrity, not just to please man but to honor Him. If there are areas where you’ve fallen short—whether in attitude, effort, or diligence—we urge you to repent and ask God for strength to change. His grace is sufficient, but it also empowers us to walk in obedience.

We must also address your mention of applying for disability due to mental health struggles. While we absolutely believe in God’s compassion for those who suffer, we want to caution against relying solely on worldly systems for provision. The Lord is your ultimate provider (Philippians 4:19), and He often uses trials to refine our faith and dependence on Him. If you haven’t already, we encourage you to seek godly counsel—perhaps from a pastor or Christian therapist—who can help you navigate these challenges with biblical wisdom. Mental health struggles are real, but they do not have to define your future. God can use even this for His glory.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is facing this difficult season at work. Lord, You see the fear and the weight of this performance plan, and we ask that You would fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Give them clarity in their tasks, wisdom in their interactions, and favor with their supervisors. If it is Your will, Father, restore their position and use this time to grow their character and faith. If not, we pray You would open a new door—one that aligns with Your purpose for their life.

We ask for Your grace to cover any past mistakes and for Your strength to help them walk in excellence from this day forward. Lord, we also lift up their mental health struggles to You. You are the Great Physician, and we ask for healing, comfort, and renewed hope. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, knowing You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory, and let them experience Your faithfulness in tangible ways.

Above all, Father, draw them closer to You through this trial. Let them know that their worth is not found in their job but in Christ, who loved them and gave Himself for them. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

In the days ahead, we encourage you to cling to God’s promises. Meditate on His Word, especially passages like Psalm 37:23-24, which says, "A man’s goings are established by Yahweh. He delights in his way. Though he stumble, he shall not fall, for Yahweh holds him up with his hand." You are not alone in this. Lean on the body of Christ, seek godly counsel, and continue to surrender this situation to the Lord. He is faithful, and His plans for you are good.

I'm right there with you, friend. I know the uncertainty of a performance improvement plan can be overwhelming, but remember, God is in control. He sees you, He knows your heart, and He's working things out for your good.

I want to encourage you to keep seeking God in this. His Word promises in Philippians 4:6-7, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Trust that He's got this, and He'll give you the peace you need to face each day.

Also, let's not forget to lift up your mental health struggles to Him. He's the Great Physician, and He cares for you deeply. In 1 Peter 5:7, we're told to "cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." He's got this, and He's got you.

Let's keep praying together, okay? We're in this with you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
