Jesus, Shepherd Your Sheep Micah 5:4, John 10:16, Jn 21:16, 1 Pet 5:2-4, Rev 7:17; Earthquake Relief, Ps 46:1-3;‍ Remember those in Chains, Hebrews 13:3, Col 4:18 -- Lord Jesus, thank You You are The LORD our Shepherd, Ps 23:1-6. You are The Good Shepherd that lay down Your life for us, Your sheep, John 10:11. Thank You that not only do Your Sheep hear Your voice, Jn 10:27, but that You lead them out, and we don't listen to others, John 10:3-4, but only head Your voice and follow You, John 10:27, but that You care for us, Ps 23:3 Isa 40:11, Ezek 34:15, Rev 7:17. Take care of us, defend us, comfort and feed us on wisdom and knowledge, Give Your angels charge over us and our fellow believers in spiritual battles, Ps 91:9-16, Heb 1:14. Strengthen our brothers and sisters, even shepherd the entire flock of God among us, 1 Pet 5:2, help us be on guard for ourselves and the flock of God among us from evil and warped wolves, Acts 20:28-29, by abiding in You and Your teaching, John 15:1-9, studying, obeying and teaching obedience to all Jesus commanded, Matt 28:20. Strengthen us and all in the faith with power and might through the Holy Spirit to know the dimensions of Your love, Eph 3:14-18. Be near those who are in need of deliverance, setting us free by just saying the Word, Matt 8:8, and draw us and all around us to Jesus. Especially draw those weary and heavy laden, that You might give them rest, Your yoke is easy and burden is light, so they find rest for their souls, Matt 11:28-30. Work everything out for the furtherance of the gospel, Phil 1:12.

Father, we thank You that even in events like this most recent of three massive earthquakes in two months -- You are still Our Refuge, Strength, and Ever-Present Help in Times of Trouble, therefore we will not fear, though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea, Ps 46:1-3. Protect the young, women, injured and elderly -- raise up laborers and send them out into this time when people need THE LOVE OF GOD, The Good News, miracles, resurrections, gifts of healing, salvation, wisdom, edification, comfort, gifts of mercy, faith and exhortation... Medical teams... Lead them NOT int temptation but DELIVER them from evil, Matt 6:13... Comfort Your People, Isa 40:1, Jesus, let Your Church be REFLECT YOU -- "I Am The Light of The World," John 8:12, as You said, "You are the light of the world, a city set on a hill, Matt 5:14...

Grant relief to the persecuted church like You did when the evil king began by laying hands on some who belonged to the church in order to mistreat them, had the Apostle James the brother of John the Beloved put to death with the sword, Acts 12:1-2, and give us testimonies like we have of the Apostle Peter's angelic release from prison in Acts 12:3-17 and the Apostles Paul and Silas' earthquake resulting in the conversion of the Philippian Jailer and his household in Acts 16:27-32. Hebrews 10:34. Help us sympathize with those in prison and joyfully accept the confiscation property, knowing that we ourselves have a better and permanent possession, Hebrews 10:34. Call and grant boldness give them visits, as Jesus said in Matthew 25:36, "I was naked and you clothed Me, I was sick and you looked after Me, I was in prison and you visited Me." Be their Shepherd even in those situations, Rom 8:38-39.

Give grace to us all to purposely draw near to You, so You draw near to us, James 4:8. You are the vine, we are the branches; the one who remains in You, and You in them bears much fruit for apart from You we can do nothing, Jn 15:5. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us, Phil 4:13. Help us keep You holy in our hearts so as to be ready in season and out of season (at any time in any circumstance) to give an answer for the hope within us, with respect, 2 Tim 2:25, so ungodliness glorifies God that it had a good witness before You returned, 1 Pet 3:15-16. Deliver us from evil people and the evil one, temptation and sin. 2 Thes 3:2-3, Matt 6:13, Luke 11:4, John 17:15. Let love abound more in knowledge and discernment so we can choose the best in every situation that gives us a choice, so we may be sincere and blameless until Your Son's return, being filled with the fruit of righteousness, which comes from union with Jesus Christ to the glory and praise of God, Phil 1:9-11. Let us freely receive Your abundant love and freely give it to others, healing the sick, raising the dead, and casting out demons, Matt 10:8. Not unto us, but to Your Name give glory, do whatever You please, but as the Earth You have given to the sons of men, help us rule in part with You even now, Ps 115:1-18. Perfect our love, for as You are, so also are we in this world, 1 John 4:17. Thank You in Jesus' Name.

We come before You, Lord Jesus, our Good Shepherd, with hearts full of gratitude and reverence. You are the One who lays down Your life for the sheep, who calls us by name, and leads us out. We thank You for Your tender care, for guiding us beside still waters, and restoring our souls. Your Word declares, "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep" (John 10:11). We rest in the truth that You know us intimately, and we hear Your voice and follow You (John 10:27).

Father, we lift up those affected by the recent earthquakes and natural disasters. You are our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We ask that You would be near to the brokenhearted, protect the vulnerable, and provide for every need. Raise up laborers, medical teams, relief workers, and believers, to bring Your love, healing, and hope to those in distress. Let Your Church shine as a city on a hill, reflecting Your light in the darkness (Matthew 5:14). May Your people be instruments of Your peace, mercy, and resurrection power in these trying times.

We also remember our brothers and sisters in Christ who are persecuted and imprisoned for their faith. Your Word commands us, "Remember those who are in chains, as bound with them; and those who are mistreated, since you are also in the body" (Hebrews 13:3). Lord, strengthen them with boldness and endurance. Grant them supernatural deliverance, as You did for Peter in Acts 12 and Paul and Silas in Acts 16. Let their testimonies bring glory to Your name and draw many to salvation. May we, too, stand in solidarity with them, offering prayer, support, and advocacy.

Father, we confess that apart from You, we can do nothing (John 15:5). We ask that You would purify our hearts and draw us nearer to You. Help us to abide in You, bearing much fruit for Your kingdom. Teach us to love with the same selfless love You have shown us, healing the sick, proclaiming the gospel, and demonstrating Your power to a hurting world. Let our lives be a testimony to Your goodness, that others may see and glorify You.

We rebuke the schemes of the evil one and pray for protection from temptation and sin. Deliver us from evil, Lord, and fill us with Your Holy Spirit so that we may walk in righteousness and truth. May our love abound in knowledge and discernment, that we may approve what is excellent and be pure and blameless until the day of Christ (Philippians 1:9-11).

Lord, we surrender all to You. Perfect our love, that as You are, so we may be in this world (1 John 4:17). May Your name be glorified in all things, for You alone are worthy. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Shepherd. Amen.

What a privilege it is to join you in this outpouring of care for God’s people and a hurting world. Your prayer echoes the heart of our Shepherd, who carries the lambs close and gently leads those that are with young. It is a beautiful thing to see you interceding for earthquake survivors, the persecuted, and the whole flock of believers, and doing so from a place of thanksgiving.

Sometimes the sheer scope of need can feel overwhelming, but your words remind us that we are not carrying these burdens alone. We are part of a body, and the Spirit helps us in our weakness, even when we don’t know exactly how to pray. So please don’t grow weary in this good work of intercession. The Father sees your tears for the suffering, your longing for the imprisoned, and your desire that none would be lost.

If you haven’t already, you might consider connecting with a trusted relief organization your church recommends, even in a small way, to tangibly support the earthquake response. It can ground your prayers and give you specific names and needs to lift up. For the persecuted church, look into a group that sends letters of encouragement to prisoners, those simple notes often mean more than we can imagine.

Above all, keep abiding in the Vine, just as you prayed. The same Shepherd who leads you will also use you to help lead others.

Lord Jesus, we thank You that You are the Shepherd who never slumbers, who holds all things together even when the ground shakes. Please wrap Your arms around those digging through rubble, grieving loved ones, and rebuilding their lives. Grant courage to our brothers and sisters in chains, and let them sense Your presence in their cells. Renew the weary intercessor, and let the joy of the Lord be their strength. In Your mighty name we pray, amen.

What a blessed litany of faith and supplication you have poured out, full of the promises and pleading the very heart of the Shepherd. In the earthquake, let your heart not quake; for when all waters are bitter, the cup of Divine consolation is all the sweeter. Our Refuge, our Strength, our ever‑present Help, He has not forsaken us, nor will He. Those who trust in Him are not confounded. The mountains may move, but His mercy stands forever. You have rightly turned to Psalm 46; that peace is no mere pretence, but a Divine reality which the world can neither create nor destroy.

Remember those in chains as bound with them. The Church has often been preserved by persecution, was never purer, never holier, never lived nearer her Lord than when the furnace was heated seven times hotter. A stake or two at ### once gave back the old fire; and though today our chains may not be iron, the trial of our faith works patience. The Lord visits His prisoners, and He who sent the earthquake to loose the apostles’ bands can yet cause the fetters to fall. Only abide in Him; let confidence be your first duty as His sheep. The sheep that knows the Shepherd’s voice will not flee from the wolf, but draw closer to the pierced feet that bought them.

You have tasted deliverance in times past; then say with boldness, “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.” Nothing can separate us from His love. If He has brought you through the deep waters, He will not leave you in the swellings of Jordan. Only draw near with a true heart, and He will draw near to you. And as you do, go forth with this holy courage: speak the word, visit the prisoner, bind up the broken‑hearted, and let love abound more and more in all knowledge. For such a time as this, the sick world needs to see that Christ is still the Light. And those who dwell in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

He that keepeth Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps. The Chief Shepherd will shortly appear, and then the Lamb slain for us shall lead us to living fountains of waters, where there shall be no more earthquake, nor pain, nor chain, for the former things are passed away. Until that day, stand fast, and let your loins be girded about with truth. Grace, mercy, and peace be multiplied unto you.

The prayer you have brought before the throne is not a small thing. You have woven together the promises of the Good Shepherd with the cries of the afflicted, the fear of earthquakes, and the chains of the persecuted. Such prayer is fitting for the Church, because the Lord Himself taught us to ask for daily bread and deliverance from evil.

But take care how you expect the Shepherd to answer. The Good Shepherd did not keep His own life from the wolf; He laid it down for the sheep. And among His flock He does not always grant deliverance from death, but He grants something greater: the power to despise death and to remain faithful under it. Think of James and Peter. In the same persecution, James was slain with the sword, and Peter was led out by an angel. The Lord did not love Peter more than James. He gave the Church two witnesses: one to show that the Shepherd can release, the other to show that the Shepherd can receive. Pray for relief, yes, but pray even more that whether by rescue or by death, the persecuted may magnify Christ.

For the earthquake and the ruins, the refuge is real. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. But He does not always hold back the mountains from falling into the sea. He calms the soul while the earth shakes. Send help, raise up laborers, protect the weak, and comfort the grieving. Yet let not the Church's main prayer be only that the ground stop trembling. Let it be that many who stand on that ground will come to know the Rock that cannot be shaken. The jailer in Philippi was not saved from the earthquake alone; he was saved because the prisoners did not run away when the doors opened. The deliverance of Paul and Silas became the conversion of his household. Request such deliverances: chains broken not so the saints may flee, but so the lost may ask, What must I do to be saved?

Remember those in chains, as you have prayed. But remembering is more than a mention in prayer. The prisoner who sees a familiar face revives, as I have often said; the presence of one brother to another is like gathering many lights and kindling a great flame. Visit when you can, write, send help, and joyfully accept any loss for the sake of those who suffer, knowing you have a better and lasting possession. Do not ask only for their shackles to fall off. Ask that their conscience remain pure and without guile, so that if they are persecuted it is not for wrongdoing but for righteousness. That is their glorying before God.

You have asked the Lord to work all things for the furtherance of the gospel. That is exactly how He works. The doors of prisons open, the earth shakes, the angry ruler rages, and even these things become the seedbed of salvation. So do not be troubled when the wicked seem to succeed for a season. The delay of judgment is not weakness in God. It is an opportunity for repentance. Manasseh filled Jerusalem with blood and abominations, yet when he turned, his wickedness was washed away. In the ruins of a city or the cell of a prisoner, the greatest miracle is still a heart that turns from sin to God.

Therefore keep this prayer before the Lord, but let the heart behind it be steady. Do not seek vengeance on those who do evil; leave that to the righteous judgment of God. Pray for their conversion, as the jailer was converted. Pray for laborers, for medical teams, for the young and the elderly, for the scattered sheep and the false shepherds who act like wolves. Above all, pray that the Church will remain in Christ the Vine, and that apart from Him she will do nothing. Then whether the mountains fall or the chains remain, the flock will know that the Good Shepherd is near, and His rod and staff will comfort them.

He will wipe away every tear. Until then, keep praying, keep visiting, keep sending, and keep watching. The Shepherd has already gone before you. He knows where the green pastures are, and He knows the way through the valley of the shadow. Follow Him.

Your prayer is anchored well. You are not asking the Lord to make circumstances easy; you are asking him to shepherd his people, to prove himself refuge when the ground moves, and to make his beloved people a true witness. That is the right burden.

The church has always been less impressive in its institutions than in its true testimony. Jesus did not promise that every structure would stay pure. He promised that he would remain the faithful and true witness and that he would call his sheep to pay attention and follow his voice rather than the voice of strangers. So I join you in asking that we would be strengthened to abide in him and to obey all he commanded, not drifting toward a different gospel that is not really good news.

The only hope for the church to reach any generation is the empowering of the Holy Spirit and being led by him. That does not come from our own effort or religious machinery. It comes through prayer and through refusing to trust in ourselves. So I ask with you for the Spirit's power, that our witness would not be in word only but in power and the Holy Spirit and full assurance.

Your mention of those in chains is close to the heart of the gospel. The apostle Paul understood that chains do not stop the gospel; they can become a stage for it. When the doors opened at midnight, the keeper did not see escape as his first hope. He asked the only question that matters: what must I do to be saved? I am praying for every shaking, every prison, every loss, to produce that question. Pray for the sufferers, but also pray that their faithfulness would be a witness to their captors and neighbors. Remember them as if bound with them. We have a better and lasting possession, and that makes the confiscation of lesser things bearable. May the Lord give the persecuted church not only survival but boldness, not only release but the peace that testifies of Jesus.

For those in earthquake stricken places, Psalm 46 is exactly the place to stand. The earth can move, the waters can roar, and yet God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble. Pray for the young, the injured, the aged, and for workers to be sent. But let the church be sent with the gospel. Aid has its place, but without the light of the world, a city on a hill, the worst darkness remains. Jesus made it clear that human testimony has its place, but the witness of God is much greater. The works the Father gave him to do bore witness that the Father sent him. We are not greater than our Lord, but we are sent as he was sent. Ask for the word of the gospel to be confirmed with gifts of healing, deliverance, and love that reflects him.

Your prayer against temptation and for deliverance from evil is vital. The false gospel often turns good news into a system of works and human effort. But the true gospel is the gospel of grace, given through Jesus Christ alone. We have been entrusted with it, not because we are worthy, but because God allowed us to be put in trust with the gospel. So guard it. Do not let another gospel trouble the flock. The only answer to savage wolves is not endless argument but abiding in the vine, knowing that apart from Christ we can do nothing and that through Christ we can do all things.

Draw near to God, and he will draw near. The Shepherd does not drive his sheep; he leads them out, and they follow because they know his voice. Pray that every weary and heavy laden person would hear that voice and find rest for the soul. Not unto us, but to the name of Jesus, be glory.
