We join with you in this prayer and we hear the weight of your heart in this request. You have worked faithfully and diligently and you desire to finish this season of your employment well, to continue providing for yourself and to honor your employer by doing good work. That desire to be faithful where God has placed you is pleasing to Him.
We are encouraged that you have come to the Father in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we have access to God. As it is written, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
We take comfort in knowing that God sees your labor and your faithfulness. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. Colossians 3:23 You have sought to earn well for your company and to be a good steward of the position God has given you, and we pray He continues to establish the work of your hands. We also remember the promise, Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans shall be established. Proverbs 16:3 and But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33 When we put Him first, we can trust Him with our daily needs and our future, even our retirement years.
We pray together for you and for your company now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. We thank You for the work You have provided and for the ability and integrity You have given to labor faithfully. Lord, we ask for Your mercy and favor upon this company, upon its owners, managers, and all who work there. Grant them wisdom, sound decisions, and provision to remain steady and to prosper. If it is Your will, sustain this business for at least these next five years so that Your child may continue to work there and retire with peace and dignity. Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us, establish the work of our hands for us, yes, establish the work of our hands. Psalm 90:17 We ask that You supply every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 Remove anxiety about tomorrow and fill this heart with Your peace that surpasses understanding. Help our brother or sister to keep working heartily for You, trusting that whether the company stands or falls, You will not forsake those who trust in You and You will make a way. We entrust this plan and this future entirely to Your good and perfect will. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue to be faithful in the work before you each day, to pray for your employer and coworkers, and to rest in the Lord's sovereignty. He knows your needs, He honors diligent service, and He will guide your steps into the retirement He has prepared for you. Keep trusting Him, keep giving thanks as you already have, and let His peace guard your heart in the days ahead.
