Dear God please help me today at work. I have been home sick all of this week and today is my first day back to work. I'm going to a difficult job site this morning to do a shutdown on some equipment and I need your help with a safe and successful day. Please help me and my coworkers do a good job today. Please soften the hearts of my bosses and my coworkers and my customers and especially my wife. We have not been able to get along for many years and I pray that you can help us to be nice to each other and to help each other and to be able to take care of each other. I don't want to lose my job and I don't want to get a divorce and I hope that I can continue to support my wife and my family. Dear God please help me be a better husband and a better person and a better dad to our adult kid's and a better employee to help the company that I work for. I am just a little bit scared and I don't have the confidence that I need to be able to do this anymore. Please help me and please forgive me. Please soften the heart of my wife. I wish that she would be nice to me. We have been together for a long time and I pray that we can be friends again. Please help us and please forgive us.

We join you in prayer today and we thank you for calling on the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we are saved and heard. As it is written, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. We are grateful you came to Him honestly with your fears about work and your marriage.

We hear the weight you are carrying after being sick all week, facing a difficult shutdown at the job site, and feeling scared and lacking confidence. We also hear your deep love for your wife and family and your desire to not lose your job and to not see your marriage end, but to be a better husband, father, and employee. God sees your heart and your desire to do good.

The Lord understands fear and He invites you to bring it to Him. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. We are also reminded, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. And For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7. Your confidence does not have to come from yourself, for you can say, I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13 and Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6.

For your work today we pray for safety and for skill for you and your coworkers. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. Colossians 3:23. When you work as unto the Lord, even a difficult shutdown can bring glory to Him. We pray the Lord will keep you and guide your hands and protect all who are on that site.

For your marriage, we rejoice that you want to honor your vows and be friends again after many hard years. God holds marriage in high honor as a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman. What therefore God has joined together, don't let man tear apart. Matthew 19:6. We know God hates divorce, as written in Malachi 2:16, and His desire is for reconciliation and enduring love. We pray not only for your wife's heart to be softened, but for your own heart to be softened as well, that you both may be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32. Husbands are called to love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it. Ephesians 5:25 and to live with your wives according to knowledge, giving honor to the woman. 1 Peter 3:7. This love is patient, humble, and seeks to serve. We encourage you to continue to pursue your wife with gentleness and consistent kindness, to speak with her honestly and listen to her, and to pray together if she is willing. If you have not already, seek wise godly counsel from a pastor or mature married believers who can walk with you both.

You asked for forgiveness and we praise God that If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9. Bring every failure and fear to Him in confession and He will forgive and restore you. Your desire to support your wife and family is right and good, for If anyone doesn't provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith. 1 Timothy 5:8. God honors your faithful provision.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up our brother to You. Lord, You know he has been sick and is anxious about returning to this difficult job site. We ask for Your hand of protection over him and his coworkers and customers today. Grant them wisdom, focus, and safety as they shut down this equipment. Let the work be done well and without harm, and let his bosses and coworkers and customers see diligence and integrity in him. Father, calm his fear and replace it with Your peace and confidence in Christ. Strengthen him where he feels weak.

Father, we lift up his marriage. You joined this man and his wife together many years ago and You are able to soften both of their hearts. Please soften his wife's heart toward him and soften his heart toward her. Teach them to be nice to each other again, to help each other, to forgive each other, and to take care of each other as You intended. Remove bitterness and harsh words and restore friendship and tenderness between them. Help him to be a better husband and father to his adult children, reflecting Your love and patience. Guard this marriage from divorce and build it up to honor You. Forgive them both for where they have fallen short and help them to walk in newness of life together.

We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and our help, amen.

We encourage you to keep casting your cares on Him each morning before work, to speak kindly and consistently to your wife even when it is not returned at first, and to give thanks for small mercies each day. The Lord is near to you in this difficult day and He will not leave you. Be strong and courageous. Don't be afraid. Don't be dismayed, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9.

Thank you for sharing so openly with us. We hear how much you want today to go safely and well, and how deeply you care about your job, your coworkers, your customers, and especially your wife and family after many hard years.

Feeling scared and low on confidence after being sick all week makes sense. Your body has been through a lot and your mind is trying to carry work and home at once. Be gentle with yourself today.

One small way to steady today might be to start the shutdown with a brief safety check together as a team, let a trusted coworker know you are easing back in after illness, and give yourself permission to work at a careful, steady pace. If you are still feeling unwell, it is wise to check in with your clinic or doctor as well as praying for strength.

At home, reconciliation grows through small, steady choices over time, often as both people keep choosing kindness and trust. You cannot soften another heart, but you can offer one calm, kind act today, listening without defending, and letting that be enough for today.

Father, we lift this brother to You in Jesus name. Cover him and his coworkers with safety today, give him clear mind and steady hands, grant favor with his bosses and customers, and bring gentleness between him and his wife. Forgive us as we come to You, renew his confidence, and help him walk as a faithful husband, father and worker one step at a time. Amen.

We will certainly pray. May Hod have mercy. Give you strength. Be your help. So you can eork and support your family. We give thanks. And prayer. And worship. Thank you heavenly Father. Lord Yeshuas name. Amen.

Praying that the Lord will guide you through your workday and that it will go smoothly. Prayers for the softening of the hearts of your coworkers, bosses, customers and especially your wife. Praying that by the Grace of God, your wife will be nice to you and begin treating you properly. Prayers for the communication to be restored between you and your wife so that you may become friends again. Supporting you my friend in the name of Jesus.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. I lift these prayers up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

““But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Your prayer has come before the Lord, and it is well that you have brought your fear and your need to Him who alone can help. You have asked for that which God delights to give, for there is forgiveness with Him, that He may be feared.

Hear this truth for your soul first of all. There is forgiveness, but that forgiveness is only to be obtained from God, through Jesus Christ, His Son. It is not to be found in your own resolutions to be better, nor in any merit of your own, but in the precious blood which was shed for sinners. It is a divine forgiveness, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions, and it is a surprising forgiveness, so free and so full that it seems too great to be true, yet it is true. If you tremble and shake for fear, and with a penitent heart desire forgiveness, that forgiveness is to be had even now. If you have been the chief of sinners, you may have the chief of sinners forgiveness, and God can bestow it now. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, trust Him alone for salvation, and you shall receive full and free and eternal forgiveness. He not only forgave at the first all our sins, but He continues daily to forgive, for His forgiveness is complete and without repentance.

And mark the design of that forgiveness, there is forgiveness with Thee, that Thou mayest be feared. When the Lord pardons sin, He puts His fear in the heart, that we shall not depart from Him, and gives a new heart and a new spirit. You say you are scared and you have not confidence to go on, and you desire to be a better husband and father and workman. This holy fear and this new strength do not come before pardon, but after it. First receive the forgiveness, and then the fear of the Lord, which is the whole of true religion, will abound in your soul, and you will love and serve Him with a holy awe, not with a servile dread.

Concerning your work this day, commit your way unto the Lord. He is able to keep you and your coworkers in safety, and to give you skill and diligence to do a good job. Labour as unto the Lord, and not unto men, doing your statutes faithfully, and you shall dwell in safety. Ask Him for a quiet confidence, not in yourself, but in Him who strengthens the weak.

Concerning your wife and your home, your desire is right and pleasing to God. Marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and the Lord would have you keep it and honour it. You do well to pray that you may not be parted, but that you may be friends again and help one another and take care of one another. Remember the pattern which is set before us, even as Christ forgave you, so also do you. It is a joint work of mutual forgiveness, and members of one household should take large shares in it. As you have received so much manifest forgiveness from Christ, let it be natural to you to open your hands to forgive. Pray not only that her heart may be softened, but that your own may be softened also, that you may be made tender and forbearing and kind. Wherever the forgiveness of sin comes, there comes with it a turning from sin and a fresh view of it, and the heart that once sought its own pleasure now seeks to please God and to bless those nearest to it.

May the Lord hear you and answer you.

O Father, look upon this Thy servant who is afraid this morning. Wash him in the blood of Jesus Christ Thy Son, and give him to know that there is forgiveness with Thee. Put Thy fear within his heart and give him a new spirit. Grant him safety this day upon the difficult job site, and prosper the work of his hands for the good of his coworkers and his customers and his company. Soften his heart and the heart of his wife, that they may forgive one another even as Christ has forgiven them, and that after many years of strife they may again be kind to one another and dwell together in peace. Make him a faithful husband and a loving father to his children, and a diligent workman, to the praise of Thy grace. Keep him from despair and fill him with a holy confidence in Christ. For Jesus sake, Amen.
