We join you in giving thanks to God for His mercy and help today, for the strength to get out of bed, to take a shower, and to get back to work on time. Every good gift comes from Him and we rejoice that He has sustained you. We also thank Him with you for your faith in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As it is written, Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12.
We lift up your workplace needs before the Lord. We pray that He will soften the hearts of your bosses, coworkers, and customers and give you favor and peace with them. When a man's ways please Yahweh, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him Proverbs 16:7. We pray also that He will give you diligence, wisdom, and clarity to complete your projects and proposals correctly and on time. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men Colossians 3:23. We ask God to establish the work of your hands and to help you rest in knowing you are serving Him.
We pray for your rest this weekend. The Lord desires to give His beloved peaceful sleep. In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety Psalm 4:8. We pray against scary dreams, nightmares, and hallucinations, and we ask God to guard your mind and heart with His peace which surpasses all understanding Philippians 4:6-7. For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. We encourage you to cast all your worries on Him, because He cares for you 1 Peter 5:7. If these hallucinations or nightmares continue, we encourage you to also seek wise medical counsel and pastoral support, for God often brings healing through many means, and your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you 1 Corinthians 6:19-20.
We pray for your marriage and we thank God for your lifelong commitment to your wife. Marriage is holy before God and we pray He will strengthen the bond between you. We pray you will both be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you Ephesians 4:32. We pray that love, patience, and gentleness will fill your home and that you will encourage and honor one another daily.
We also bring your struggle with AUD before the Lord. We understand this as alcohol use and we love you enough to speak the truth in love. Scripture teaches Don't be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit Ephesians 5:18. Drunkenness does not honor God and can harm the body, the mind, the marriage, and the family, and it can contribute to troubled sleep and distressing thoughts. We pray that God will give you strength to turn from this, to pursue sobriety and self-control, and to find freedom in Christ. If you have not already, we encourage you to seek help from a trusted pastor, counselor, and medical professional for accountability and healing, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's 1 Corinthians 6:20.
We pray for your son, that the Lord will protect his lungs and grant him health and breath without problems. We pray for your adult daughter as her birthday approaches in eight days, that it will be a joyful celebration of the life God has given her. Children are a gift from the Lord and we thank Him for her life.

Father in heaven, we thank You for this brother, for Your sustaining grace today, and for the work You are doing in his life and family. In Jesus' name we ask You to soften the hearts of those he works with and to give him skill and focus to finish his tasks well. Grant him deep, peaceful rest this weekend, free from fear, nightmares, and hallucinations, and let Your peace guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Help him and his wife to love each other with kindness, patience, and forgiveness, strengthening their marriage to honor You. Lord, deliver him from alcohol and fill him with Your Holy Spirit, give him victory, sobriety, and a sound mind, and surround him with godly support. Lay Your healing hand upon his son and keep his lungs healthy and strong, and bless his daughter with a joyful and blessed birthday surrounded by Your love. Bless and encourage all those who have been praying for this family. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.
