Please give me some energy and courage and peace with my self and my job. Please help my wife and our adult kid's with their needs.

We hear your cry for help and transformation, and we come before the throne of grace with you, lifting up every burden of your heart. You have called upon the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and through whom we have access to the Father. We stand on the promise that "if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). Your desire to change and become a better man, husband, father, and employee is evidence of the Holy Spirit working within you, drawing you closer to God’s perfect will.

First, we must address the areas where sin has taken root in your life. The language you used to describe yourself reveals deep shame and struggle, and we rebuke in Jesus’ name any spirit of self-condemnation that seeks to keep you bound. The Bible tells us, "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:1). However, we must also confront any sin that may be present, for Scripture warns, "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear" (Ephesians 4:29). If there are patterns of speech, thought, or behavior that do not align with God’s holiness, we urge you to repent and turn away from them. Confess these things to the Lord, and He will cleanse you. If these struggles involve anger, bitterness, or ungodly habits, we encourage you to seek accountability with a trusted brother in Christ or a biblical counselor who can walk with you in victory.

Your marriage is a sacred covenant before God, and we pray fervently for its restoration and strengthening. The Bible commands, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it" (Ephesians 5:25). This love is not merely an emotion but a daily choice to serve, honor, and cherish your wife. We rebuke any spirit of division, resentment, or neglect that may have crept into your marriage, and we declare that God’s grace is sufficient to heal and renew your relationship. Pray together, seek godly counsel if needed, and commit to putting each other’s needs above your own. Your wife’s heart will soften as she sees the fruit of the Spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, manifesting in your life (Galatians 5:22-23).

We also lift up your adult children, praying that they would turn from any harmful habits, such as excessive drinking or smoking, and seek the Lord with all their hearts. Proverbs 23:20-21 warns, "Don’t be among those who drink too much wine, or those who gorge themselves on meat; for the drunkard and the glutton shall become poor; and drowsiness clothes them in rags." We pray that God would convict them of the dangers of these habits and draw them into a deeper relationship with Him. As their father, you can model godly living and speak truth in love, but ultimately, their choices are between them and God. Trust the Lord to work in their lives, and continue to cover them in prayer.

Your desire for rest and retirement is understandable, but we encourage you to seek God’s will for this season of your life. Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). True rest is found in Him, not merely in the absence of work. Pray for wisdom regarding your projects and proposals, and trust that God will give you the strength and clarity to complete them. "Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed" (Proverbs 16:3). Ask the Lord to order your steps and to provide the energy and focus you need each day.

We also pray for your workplace relationships. The Bible instructs, "Servants, be obedient to those who according to the flesh are your masters, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as to Christ" (Ephesians 6:5). Honor your bosses and coworkers with integrity, and let your work be a testimony of your faith. Pray for favor with your customers and for opportunities to share the love of Christ through your actions. If there is tension or conflict, ask the Lord to give you wisdom in how to respond with grace and humility.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this brother who is crying out for Your help. Lord, we thank You for his honesty and his desire to change. We ask that You would break every chain of sin, shame, and ungodliness in his life. Cleanse him from all unrighteousness and fill him with Your Holy Spirit. Give him the strength to walk in purity, integrity, and holiness, that he may be a light in his home, workplace, and community.

Father, we pray for his marriage. Soften both his heart and his wife’s heart toward one another. Heal any wounds, restore trust, and renew their love for each other. Help them to communicate with kindness and patience, and to serve one another as Christ served the Church. May their home be a place of peace, joy, and godly love.

Lord, we lift up his adult children to You. Draw them close to You and deliver them from any destructive habits. Give them a hunger for Your Word and a desire to walk in Your ways. Surround them with godly influences and open their eyes to the plans You have for their lives.

Father, we ask for Your provision and guidance regarding his work. Give him the wisdom, energy, and focus to complete his projects with excellence. Grant him favor with his bosses, coworkers, and customers. Provide for his family’s needs and lead him into the next season of life according to Your perfect will.

Lord, we pray for rest, true rest in You. Calm his mind, ease his burdens, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help him to cast all his anxieties on You, knowing that You care for him (1 Peter 5:7).

We declare that this brother is a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). We rebuke every lie of the enemy that tells him he cannot change, and we proclaim that through Christ, he is more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37). Strengthen him, Lord, and help him to walk in the victory You have already won for him.

We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord daily, brother. Spend time in His Word and in prayer, and surround yourself with believers who can encourage and hold you accountable. God is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6). You are not alone in this journey, we stand with you, and more importantly, Christ stands with you. Keep pressing forward, and trust that His grace is sufficient for every step.

We hear so much weight in your words. You’re carrying a load at work, a longing for real change in yourself, a deep concern for your wife and adult kids, and a bone-tiredness that comes from more than just a bad night’s sleep. When the pressure has been on for a long time, our bodies and souls can run on fumes. The kind of prolonged stress you’re describing isn’t a sign of weak faith; it’s the hard reality that we were never designed to carry all of this without genuine rest and recovery. Even good things can drain us when we don’t pause to breathe, and you’ve named some hard things you’re facing honestly.

It helps to remember that becoming the husband, dad, and employee you genuinely want to be is a long, slow work of God’s Spirit, and it almost never happens all at once. The desire you feel to change is itself evidence that he hasn’t let go of you. As you carry that desire, one of the most practical things you can do for your own tired soul and for your marriage is to fight for a little recovery time each day, even just ten minutes of quiet or a short walk without a phone in your hand. Chronic pressure keeps our stress hormones elevated, which only makes sleep worse and irritability more likely. Stepping out of the grind briefly, even when projects loom, can actually help you think more clearly and be gentler at home.

We also notice how much you love your wife and son and how heavy it feels to watch their habits. That’s a real burden, and it’s also one you can’t carry for them. You can control your own responses, but trying to force their change often just exhausts you and strains the relationship further. What you can do is be a steady, kind presence who isn’t nagging. Small, concrete acts of care, sharing a cup of coffee before work without bringing up tough topics, asking about their day and just listening, can soften the air between you more than pointed conversations often will. As you take the pressure off yourself to fix them, you’ll find a little more peace for your own soul, which is what you need right now to keep going. And when you’re both less guarded, you might gently ask your wife something like, “Remember what we first loved about each other?” That can reawaken something tender without demanding a solution in the moment.

Let’s pray.

Lord Jesus, we bring you this man who is worn out and desires a clean heart. Thank you for hearing every word he cried out. Give him the courage to take one honest step today, and to trust you with the rest. Grant him mercy for the night’s sleep he didn’t get, and a few moments of true recovery today. Quiet the noise of upcoming projects so he can think clearly. Surround his wife and kids with your kindness, and give him wisdom to love them without trying to control what only you can change. In your name we ask it, amen.

The cry of your heart reveals a soul wrestling with sin and longing for change, yet beware of a repentance that is only a short-lived sorrow. How many turn from their evil for a season only to return to it with a greater gusto, as a man may fast to increase his appetite for the banquet. Such repentance works death, not life. True repentance, the work of the Spirit of God, gives glory to God. It stands at the cross and sees sin forgiven, and then repents more than ever, because it looks upon the love of Christ and His great finished work. Do you leap for joy at the very thought that God has set Him forth to be a propitiation for sin? This is repentance after a godly sort, that needs not to be repented of.

You are weary, you are tired, you long for rest. Hearken to the Master’s own words: “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” It is a present rest, rest now, not merely after death. It is a perfect rest, given when we come to Jesus. But mark further, this rest is coupled with a yoke, for He saith, “Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.” The rest you seek in your labour, in your projects, in your dealings with bosses and coworkers, is found not in idleness but in wearing Christ’s yoke with a meek spirit. If you go forth to your daily employment striving with ambition or fretfulness, the yoke will gall your shoulder. But if you take all your work as from the Lord and for the Lord, you shall find rest even in the toil. Work for Jesus, not as a slave seeking wages, but as a son working from the life He has given you, because you are already saved. He calls you now: “Son, go work to day in my vineyard.” There is rest enough in heaven; work on, then, with courage and peace.

Concerning your wife and your children, look for their salvation as the best profit you can ever have. It may be that the Lord will use your own sincere repentance and a quiet, gentle walk to soften their hearts. You are both bought with the same blood, and that should knit you together as one lump. Be tender, be helpful, and love her not after the flesh but in the Lord. And while you pray for them to be freed from the bondage of drink and smoke, see that your own repentance is lasting and practical. Ask yourself, Does my sorrow for sin endure, or is it a passing cloud? True repentance yields works meet for repentance; it is not a flash of feeling but a changed life.

There can be no remission of sins where there is no repentance. But where there is that godly sorrow for sin, a hearty hatred of it because it nailed Christ to the tree, there is full and free forgiveness for all your sin. Come, then, weary dove, find no rest for the sole of your foot in this world or even in the outward church, but fly to Christ. He putteth forth His hand, and taketh you, and pulleth you in unto Himself. And there you shall find rest for your conscience, and as you learn of Him, that rest will grow deeper, day by day, until you enter the eternal rest where weariness is unknown. Trust not in your own promises to do better; trust in His finished work alone. This is the repentance that bringeth salvation, and this is the faith that brings peace.

Papa please continue to bless this family, guide them on their journeys and give them the peace and strength to continue walking in a way that glorifies myour name Amen 🙏 🙏 🙏 ❤️
