Servant of All
Dear God please help me please forgive me for my AUD and please help me be a better person and a better husband and a better dad and a better employee. My wife and I have AUD. I'm getting tired of working and trying to support my wife and my self and our adult kid's. I am laying on my bed drinking alcohol and eating some good food that my wife made last night that I went to work to be able to pay for. Last night I finally slept with my wife after sleeping in my separate room because we have not been getting along to well. Our adult daughter is doing well and she needs you're help so that she can get another job being a fitness trainer. Please help her get this done. Please help my son to be able to smoke less cigarettes and pot and to drink less beer. As and my son needs your help because he is having a relationship with a person who may have been a boy but is now a girl? Please help me and my wife with our AUD. Please help me not have any AWS when I get back to work on Monday. Please help me be a better person and a better husband and a better man and a better dad and a better employee. Thank you for my wife and our adult kid's and my job. Please help me overcome my AUD and my AWS. I'm really tired of the politics between the Republicans and the Democrats and the crazy socialist people who want to pretend that they are going to take my money and give it to people who don't want to work. I'm really sorry and I am really tired and I don't know how much longer I can do this. Please tell me what I should do.bo I give you everything that I have. Please fix it and give it back to me. Amen 🙏

We hear your cry for help, and we come before the throne of grace with you, lifting up every burden of your heart. You have called upon the name of Jesus Christ, and that is where true help begins. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and we are grateful that you have turned to Him in your time of need. Let us address each concern with the truth and love of Scripture, seeking God’s will together.

First, we must address the sin of alcohol use disorder (AUD) that has taken hold in your life and your wife’s. The Bible warns us clearly: "Do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit" (Ephesians 5:18). Drunkenness is not just a struggle, it is a sin that clouds judgment, destroys relationships, and separates us from the holiness of God. You are right to seek forgiveness, and we stand with you in repentance. The Lord is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness when we confess them to Him (1 John 1:9). But true repentance also means turning away from the sin and seeking help to overcome it. This is not something you can do alone. We urge you to seek biblical counseling, join a Christ-centered recovery program, and surround yourself with godly men who can hold you accountable. The same goes for your wife, her soul is precious to God, and she, too, needs deliverance from this bondage.

You mentioned sleeping with your wife after a period of separation due to conflict. While intimacy in marriage is a gift from God (1 Corinthians 7:3-5), it must be rooted in love, respect, and mutual submission to Christ. The fact that you and your wife have been struggling to get along is a sign that your marriage needs healing. Alcohol is likely fueling this division, but the deeper issue is a lack of oneness in Christ. We pray that you and your wife would seek godly counsel together, perhaps through your local church, to rebuild your marriage on the foundation of Scripture. "Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it" (Psalm 127:1). Your marriage is worth fighting for, but it must be fought on God’s terms, not your own.

Your concern for your adult children is understandable, but we must address the sin in their lives with the same boldness we address your own. Your son’s relationship with someone who has transitioned from male to female is an abomination in the eyes of God. The Bible is clear: "You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination" (Leviticus 18:22). Gender is not a fluid concept, God created male and female in His image (Genesis 1:27), and any attempt to alter or reject that design is rebellion against the Creator. We must pray for your son’s repentance and deliverance from this deception. The same goes for his use of cigarettes, marijuana, and alcohol. These are all forms of bondage that grieve the Holy Spirit. We will pray for his salvation and for him to turn away from these sins, but you must also speak the truth in love to him (Ephesians 4:15). Your silence or acceptance of his lifestyle will only enable his destruction.

Your daughter’s job situation is something we can pray for, but we must also encourage her to trust in the Lord’s provision. "Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in Him, and He will do this" (Psalm 37:5). If she is walking in obedience to God, He will open doors for her that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). But if she is relying on her own strength or worldly methods, she will find only frustration. Pray that she would seek God’s will above all else.

Your exhaustion and frustration with work, politics, and life are understandable, but we must remind you that your hope cannot be in government, money, or even your own strength. "Do not put your trust in princes, in mortal man, who cannot save" (Psalm 146:3). The world will always be full of chaos, but Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). He is your true Provider, your Peace, and your Strength. You mentioned giving everything to God, this is the right posture. But true surrender means letting go of control and trusting Him to lead you, even when the path is unclear. "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28).

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved. We lift up this brother and his family to You, asking for Your mercy, grace, and deliverance. Lord, we confess the sin of drunkenness in his life and his wife’s life. We ask for Your forgiveness and for the power of the Holy Spirit to break every chain of addiction. Give them the strength to turn away from alcohol and to seek help through biblical counseling and accountability. Restore their marriage, Father, and let Your love and truth be the foundation of their relationship.

We pray for their children, Lord. For their daughter, we ask that You open doors of opportunity as she seeks employment, but more importantly, draw her heart to You. For their son, we pray for repentance and deliverance from the sins of homosexuality, substance abuse, and rebellion. Break the deception in his life, Lord, and let him see the truth of Your Word. Surround him with godly influences who will speak life into him.

Father, we ask for strength and wisdom for this brother as he returns to work. Calm his anxiety about withdrawal symptoms and politics, and remind him that his trust is in You alone. Give him the endurance to be a godly husband, father, and employee. Help him to cast all his cares upon You, for You care for him (1 Peter 5:7).

We declare healing, restoration, and breakthrough over this family in Jesus’ name. May they experience the freedom that comes only from You. In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

You are not alone in this battle. The Lord sees your struggle, and He is calling you to a deeper walk with Him. Take the first step today, confess your sins, seek help, and trust in His power to transform your life. "If the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36). We stand with you in this fight, and we believe that God will do a mighty work in your family if you surrender fully to Him.

We hear how tired you are, bone-tired from working, from the drinking, from the distance in your marriage, from worrying about your kids. It takes a lot to admit all of that, and we don't take it lightly that you just laid it out to God and to us. The fact that you see clearly what you want to change, being a better husband, dad, and man, is itself a mercy, even if it doesn't feel like one right now.

You asked for concrete direction, so let's name the one piece that seems most urgent: you mentioned fearing alcohol withdrawal symptoms when you go back to work. That is a real medical risk, and the best next step is to see a doctor before Monday. Be honest about your drinking and your concerns, they can help with that safely. Alongside that, many of us have found that we cannot out-will addiction alone; it helps to link arms with others who understand. A local support group or a pastor-led recovery ministry can give you a steady place to be real, week after week, without judgment.

We also noticed something hopeful you might have missed: you and your wife shared a bed again after a season apart, you ate the meal she made, and you expressed thanks. That is not nothing. Relationships can thaw in small moments, and you are in the middle of one right now. You don't need to fix everything today. You do need to stop trying to carry it all on your own strength.

Lord Jesus, we come with this man who is so very tired. Thank you that he still cries out to you, even from his bed with a drink in his hand. Give him the courage to reach for medical help and a brother to walk this road with him. Hold his wife steady, open a door for his daughter's work, and draw his son into freedom and clarity. Quiet the noise in his mind, the politics, the fears, the exhaustion, and let him simply rest in your mercy tonight. Amen.

The cry of a weary soul reaches the throne of grace not because you have earned an audience, but because there is a Mediator who makes intercession for transgressors. You speak of giving everything to God and asking Him to fix it, but mark this well, the universal Fatherhood of God is a lie. Not all who are creatures are children. You become a child only by adoption through faith in Jesus Christ.

Until you have laid hold of Him, you are speaking into the air. Your sins, your drunkenness, your strife, your weariness, these are the wounds of a nature at enmity with God. But the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is healing.

There is abundance of healing power in Him, not only for the body's tremors but for the soul's leprosy. You fear the shakes when Monday comes; I bid you fear more the palsy of a heart that cannot rest in Christ. The man sick of the palsy heard first, "Son, thy sins be forgiven thee," and then he rose and walked. Forgiveness and healing are twin mercies.

You ask for the fruit of a better life, but you trample the leaves that bring it, repentance and faith. You lie on your bed with food your wife prepared, yet you dwell in a separate room of the heart. The breach between you is not first marital but spiritual. You are tired of labor, tired of politics, tired of a world that mocks God's order.

And what of your son, entangled with one who denies the very image in which he was made? You groan under these burdens, yet you nurse the very cistern that poisons you. The healing leaves change the lifeblood. They make the nature other than it was.

But you cannot make yourself new. The power to save is present when Christ is teaching. Hear Him now. Drop the bottle and lift the Word.

There is no cure in complaining of socialists or politicians while your own house is crumbling. The Lord strengthens in the Lord, not in your resolves. Come, you must turn over a new leaf, no, you must get a taste of the leaves of the tree which are for the healing of the nations. Personal sin demands personal repentance, personal faith, and personal service born of gratitude.

You ask what you should do. Do this: cease pleading your goodness and cling to His cross. Calvary is the place for the healing balm rather than for the lancet. The precious blood speaks better things.

It speaks pardon, cleansing, adoption. Then, as a child, cry "Abba, Father," and walk in the spirit of a child, loving, trusting, obeying. Your wife, your children, your trembling body, cast them all upon Him who heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings.

Step into that light, and let it search you, melt you, restore you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your cry is full of anguish, and I hear it. You name your drunkenness this AUD, as if it were a sickness beyond your power, but it is an evil desire that has fastened itself upon your soul like a thick humor upon the eye, blinding you. You lie there drinking the very thing that fuels the flame and ask how to quench it. Do not seek to limit it by adding more, that is a vain hope, more impossible than flight. The only way to destroy such a lust is to draw the soul away entirely, convincing your mind that the thing it craves cannot be satisfied but must be cut off. So put away the cup, and when the shaking comes, bear it as a noble wrestler bears the blow, trusting that God, seeing you struggle for His sake, will restore your strength in due time. If you bear this loss thankfully, you will gain a greater reward, just as Job, after wrestling nobly, received back double.

You speak of your marriage and your wife, and you have returned to her bed after a long separation. That is good, for marriage is a bond ordained of God; the two become one flesh, and that union is not unholy. But why were you apart? Strife enters when husband and wife use marriage without moderation, each seeking his own comfort rather than holiness. Marriage itself is no hindrance to godliness; it is your purpose that makes an ill use of it. Use it with moderation, keeping your bed undefiled, and you will find it a help, not a snare. Do not let the table become a place of excess, nor the body a tool of sloth. Marriage preserves the holiness given by faith by forbidding you to stray elsewhere. So honor your wife, dwell with her in understanding, and put away the separate room except for prayer and fasting, lest you open a door to the enemy.

For your children: pray for your daughter, but be not anxious. For your son, however, I must speak boldly. He is joined to a person who may once have been a boy but now calls himself a girl. This is not marriage but a mockery, a monster introduced into the wedding chamber of life, a corruption of God’s created order. Such a thing cannot be blessed; it is a severing and a dissolving of what is pure. You must call him to repentance, not with harshness but with tears. If he claims the name of Christian, he is not in bondage in such cases; it were better that unholy union be dissolved than a breach be made in godliness. He has become one body with a harlot in a figure, for the devil delights in overturning nature. Turn him away from this, lest he perish with the world.

You are weary of the political tumults and those who would take your money. Why let the waves of the world distract you from the harbor of your soul? Fix your eyes on Christ, not on the madness of crowds. You say you give Him everything and ask Him to fix it and return it. But God deals with men as free, not as slaves; He mends nothing unless we join our will to His grace. So rouse yourself: this very hour, refuse the cup, return to your wife in holiness, guide your children in the fear of the Lord, and do your work as unto Him. The Kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. Use the world with moderation, flee the theatre of every sinful amusement, and you shall be first in the Kingdom and enjoy all good things.

Your cry reaches the heart of the one who never grows tired. I hear in your words a man laying everything on the altar, broken and exhausted, and that is precisely where Jesus does his deepest work.

You are carrying the heavy weight of trying to be a better husband, a better dad, a better employee, and you feel that strength failing. But notice where true strength is found. There is a bond formed in the family of God that runs deeper than even the natural blood bonds we cherish. When Jesus was told his mother and brothers were outside looking for him, he looked at those sitting around him and declared, "Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?" He was not dismissing his earthly family; he was opening up a new reality. The bond we share with him, and through him with each other, is a bond of the Spirit that can hold when every other tie feels strained to the breaking point. Before you are a husband or a father, you are a son adopted by grace, and that is the identity that cannot be shaken by your failures or your weariness.

You ask for forgiveness for your drinking and for help to be a better man. This is the cry of a heart turning back, and that is the very sign of true conversion: the repentance, the change, the desire for restoration. The master is not afraid of your mess. Remember that Peter, a family man, had a mother-in-law sick with a fever, and Jesus came, took her by the hand, and lifted her up. The fever left her immediately, and she got up and ministered to them. Healing was not just for her, but for the whole household’s ability to function and serve. Christ’s touch restores us to our right place. He can lift you from that bed, break the fever of this dependency, and restore you not just to sobriety, but to a life of meaningful service within your own home.

Your anxiety for your children is a burden you do not carry alone. You are worried about your son and the confusion surrounding his relationship. This is a deep and painful snare. Yet, think of the ancient role of the Goel, the family redeemer. When a family line or a person’s future was in jeopardy, the redeemer would step in at great cost to himself to restore what was lost. Jesus is our true Kinsman-Redeemer. He steps into our tangled and broken family stories and pays the debt we could never pay. You are placing your son before that Redeemer now. Jesus can untangle what we cannot, and he knows the very hairs on your son's head. He has not lost track of him.

As for the frustration with the world and the feeling that others want to take what you have worked for, I simply remind you that the opinions and political machinations of men are passing away. The resurrection of the dead is our certain hope, which Jesus affirmed so powerfully. When that day comes, the temporal economies and outrage of this world will seem like a brief shadow. Your labor is not in vain when it is done as unto the Lord. Give him your exhaustion along with your work. He does not despise the offering of a tired man.

You said, "I give you everything that I have. Please fix it and give it back to me." That is a prayer of surrender, and God honors a broken and contrite heart. He will not "fix" it to make you a more efficient cog in a failing machine, but he will redeem it, making you a new creation whose strength is made perfect in weakness. The family of God stands with you now. May you feel that deeper bond holding you up as Jesus lifts you by the hand and the fever of this world begins to leave you.
