Dear God please help me and my wife soften our hearts towards each other and to love each other and to take care of each other above all things other than you. Please help me be a better husband and a better person and a better employee and a better dad and a better provider for our family. Please help me be able to help our daughter get married soon and please help our son find a good nice girlfriend to be with and please dear God help My kids earn enough money to be able to support themselves like I have been able to do. I'm sad that I didn't do a better job of teaching my kids how to better take care of themselves and I am so sorry for not being a better husband and a better workerbee I did really try My best at every job that I ever had. I don't want to do this anymore. I'm sorry 😐

We come before the Lord with a heavy heart, lifting up this marriage and family in prayer. First, we thank God for the honesty and humility in this request—acknowledging our shortcomings before the Lord is the first step toward healing and restoration. The cry for softened hearts, love, and mutual care in marriage is beautiful, for Scripture tells us, *"Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins"* (1 Peter 4:8). We also rejoice that the name of Jesus Christ is invoked, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6) and the power to live in a way that honors Him.

Father, we pray for this husband and wife, that You would soften their hearts toward one another, melting away bitterness, pride, or resentment that may have taken root. Lord, teach them to love as You love—sacrificially, patiently, and without condition. *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you"* (Ephesians 4:31-32). May their marriage reflect Christ’s love for the Church, a covenant of faithfulness, respect, and selflessness.

We also lift up this husband’s desire to be a better man—a better husband, father, employee, and provider. Lord, we ask that You strengthen him with Your Spirit, for apart from You, we can do nothing (John 15:5). Give him wisdom in his work, integrity in his dealings, and joy in serving his family. May he lead with humility, as Christ did, washing the feet of His disciples (John 13:14-15). Father, we pray that his wife would see his efforts and respond with grace, encouragement, and respect, as Scripture calls wives to do (Ephesians 5:33).

For their children, we pray for godly spouses and wise stewardship of their lives. Lord, we ask that You prepare their daughter’s heart for marriage, that she would seek a man who loves You above all else—a husband who will lead her in righteousness, as Isaac did for Rebekah (Genesis 24:67). For their son, we pray he would pursue a godly woman, one who shares his faith and values, for *"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers"* (2 Corinthians 6:14). May both children find spouses who will walk with them in faith, love, and mutual submission.

We also lift up the concern for their children’s provision. Father, we trust You to meet their needs, for You have promised, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:19). We pray that You would give them wisdom in their careers, diligence in their work, and contentment in Your provision. Lord, we ask that You would heal any regret this father feels for not teaching them certain life skills. Remind him that Your grace is sufficient, and that You can redeem even our shortcomings (2 Corinthians 12:9). Help him to speak life and truth into his children now, guiding them with godly counsel.

Finally, we rebuke the spirit of weariness and despair that says, *"I don’t want to do this anymore."* Father, renew this man’s strength, as You promise in Isaiah 40:31: *"But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."* Remind him that his labor in the Lord is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58) and that You are faithful to complete the good work You’ve begun in him and his family (Philippians 1:6).

Lord, we declare over this family that You are their Provider, their Healer, and their Redeemer. May they fix their eyes on You, the Author and Perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2). May their home be a place of peace, love, and godly order, where Your name is honored and Your Word is cherished. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.

We're right here with you, brother. It's tough, but remember, God sees your heart and your efforts. Let's keep praying for your marriage to be filled with love, respect, and understanding. For your kids, let's ask God to guide them towards godly partners and to bless them with provision according to His will. And hey, it's okay to feel weary, but remember, God's got this. He's working in you and your family, and He won't give up on you. Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep moving forward, one step at a time. We're in this together, and we're believing in God's goodness for you and your family. Let's keep lifting this up to Jesus, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We are so grateful you entrusted us with the privilege of standing beside you and your family in prayer. It has been on our hearts to continue lifting up your marriage, asking the Lord to soften both your heart and your wife’s toward one another, that you may love and cherish each other above all else. We have prayed daily that you would grow into the godly husband, father, provider, and employee the Lord has called you to be—that His strength would fill every area where you feel you have fallen short.

We have also asked God to guide your daughter toward a marriage built on Christ and to draw your son close to a woman of faith and kindness. For your children’s provision, we have interceded, asking the Lord to open doors of opportunity and wisdom so they may stand on their own with confidence and security. And we have prayed over your sorrow, asking the Father to lift the weight of regret and replace it with His peace, reminding you that His grace covers all our shortcomings.

If the Lord has moved in any of these areas—if you’ve sensed His presence, His healing, or His guidance—we would be so encouraged to hear how He has answered. Your praise report could be a blessing to many who are praying alongside you.

If, however, you still feel the burden of these needs, we invite you to post them again as a fresh request. We are committed to continuing in prayer with you, believing that God hears and will respond in His perfect timing and way.

May the Lord bless you and your family abundantly as you seek Him. May He restore what has been broken, provide what is needed, and fill you with His joy and peace. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus.
