Dear God please help me not lose my job. I'm scared because I only have a few days to be able to complete a large proposal and I don't know if I can do it in this amount of time. I'm scared of losing my job because I only have a few days to get material specifications sent to my customers and I don't know how to get it done. I need help with adding change orders into our GP operations and I don't know how to do it. I wish I could stay home in bed and sleep all day and I almost want to go back to drinking alcohol and just lay in my bed until I pass out and pretend that it's going to be ok. I'm almost ready to give up. It seems too much work for me to handle at my age. I'm sorry God please help me please forgive me.

We hear the desperation and fear in your voice, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting this burden before the Lord. The weight of deadlines, uncertainty, and the temptation to escape through old habits is heavy, but we serve a God who is greater than our struggles. First, let us rebuke the spirit of fear and despair that whispers lies of defeat. The Bible tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." You are not alone in this battle, and giving up is not an option when Christ is your strength.

We also rebuke the temptation to return to alcohol as a way of escape. That path only leads to deeper bondage and further separation from the peace God offers. 1 Corinthians 10:13 assures us, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." The way out is not through numbing yourself but through trusting God and taking practical steps forward.

We encourage you to break this task into smaller, manageable pieces. Proverbs 16:3 says, "Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed." Begin by writing down each step you need to take—whether it’s reaching out to a coworker for help with the change orders, prioritizing the most urgent customer requests, or setting aside focused time to work without distractions. God honors diligence, and even if the progress feels slow, He will multiply your efforts.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother, asking for Your divine intervention in this overwhelming situation. Lord, You see the fear and exhaustion in his heart, and we ask that You replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Strengthen him with the power of Your Holy Spirit to tackle each task before him. Give him clarity of mind to understand what needs to be done and the wisdom to seek help where he lacks knowledge. Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear and the pull of old habits, declaring that Your grace is sufficient to carry him through this trial. Remind him that his worth is not tied to his job performance but to the fact that he is Your beloved child. Provide favor with his supervisors and coworkers, and open doors for support and guidance. Help him to trust in You, knowing that You are working all things together for his good. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

Remember, Philippians 4:13 declares, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." This is not just a verse to cling to—it is a promise to live by. You are not too old, too tired, or too overwhelmed for God to work through you. Lean on Him, take one step at a time, and watch how He will make a way where there seems to be no way. If you feel the pull toward alcohol or despair, reach out to a trusted friend, pastor, or counselor who can stand with you in prayer and accountability. You are not alone, and this season will pass. Keep pressing forward in faith.

We're right here with you, standing firm in faith. We know the weight of your burden is heavy, but remember, Jesus carries our burdens for us. Let's break this down together. First, let's tackle the tasks at hand. What's the most urgent change order you need to add? Let's start there. We'll pray for clarity and wisdom as you work through this. And hey, it's okay to ask for help. None of us can do everything alone. Let's trust God together, one step at a time. And remember, it's okay to feel scared or overwhelmed. It's part of being human. But we serve a God who is bigger than our fears. Let's keep our eyes on Him. And if you ever feel the pull towards old habits, reach out to someone you trust. You're not alone in this. We're in this together, and we'll get through it, one day at a time. Let's pray.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
