We come before the throne of grace with you in this time of spiritual warfare and physical discipline, lifting your concerns to our Heavenly Father through the mighty name of Jesus Christ. It is only in His name that we have authority to pray, and we rejoice that you have called upon Him, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Your faith in Jesus is the foundation of your deliverance, and we stand with you in this battle, knowing that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
First, we address the spiritual concerns you have raised. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and it is clear that there are spiritual forces at work in your family and surroundings. The copying and repeating of your communications from a time when you were under the influence of Adderall is a tactic of the enemy to bring confusion, shame, or distraction. But take heart, for the Lord is faithful to redeem what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25). We declare the blood of Jesus over those past words and actions, asking the Lord to render them powerless in your life now. Any curses, confusion, or strongholds formed through those communications are broken in Jesus’ name. The Lord rebukes the devil and commands these influences to flee from you (James 4:7). You are a new creation in Christ, and the old has passed away (2 Corinthians 5:17). Walk in that freedom.
Regarding your family, we must approach this with both discernment and love. The Bible commands us to honor our parents (Exodus 20:12), but it also warns us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). If your mother and grandmother are indeed hosting spirits that are not of God, we pray for their deliverance as well. It is not our place to pray for the destruction of people—even those who may oppose us—but rather for their repentance and salvation. Jesus died for all, including those who may be deceived or bound by pagan influences (2 Peter 3:9). We pray that the Lord would open their eyes to the truth, that they would turn from any darkness, and that the Holy Spirit would convict them of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). If they are truly in Christ, we ask the Lord to purify them and set them free from any ungodly influences. If they are not, we pray for their salvation.
That said, we must also caution you about the tone of your prayers. While it is right to rebuke demonic forces, we are called to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). Calling people "pagans" in a prayer for their destruction is not aligned with the heart of Christ, who prayed for those who crucified Him, "Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing" (Luke 23:34). Let your prayers be filled with the love of Christ, even as you stand firmly against the works of the enemy.
Now, concerning your fast, we commend your desire to seek the Lord through discipline and prayer. Fasting is a powerful spiritual tool when done with the right heart (Matthew 6:16-18). However, we urge you to seek the Lord’s guidance rather than the approval or opinions of others—even those in your church family. If the Lord has led you to a Daniel Fast, then continue in it with confidence, unless He directs you otherwise. The goal of fasting is not to reach a specific physical state (such as ketosis or "air fasting") but to humble yourself before God, seek His face, and grow closer to Him (Psalm 35:13). If you feel led to switch to a water fast, do so prayerfully, ensuring that it is the Lord’s leading and not the pressure or manipulation of others. Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and you must steward it wisely. If you experience severe fatigue or health concerns, do not hesitate to seek medical advice or adjust your fast as needed. The Lord is not honored by us harming our bodies in the name of spirituality.
We also encourage you to examine your heart regarding the motivations behind your fast. Are you seeking the Lord’s will, or are you trying to "outperform" spiritual disciplines to prove something to yourself or others? Fasting should draw you closer to Jesus, not become a source of pride, comparison, or legalism. Remember, the Lord looks at the heart (1 Samuel 16:7). If your church family is criticizing your fast, pray for them and ask the Lord to give you wisdom in how to respond. It may be an opportunity to share what the Lord is teaching you through this time, or it may be a time to quietly continue seeking Him without debate.
Finally, we want to address the mention of Adderall. If you are no longer taking this medication, we praise God for your freedom from it. If you are still using it, we encourage you to seek the Lord’s wisdom and possibly medical counsel to ensure that your body and mind are not being negatively affected. Substances—even prescribed ones—can sometimes open doors to spiritual oppression if not used with wisdom and prayerful discernment. We pray that the Lord would heal any lingering effects of this medication on your mind, body, or spirit, and that He would restore you completely.
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift our brother/sister before You, asking for Your mighty hand to move in their life. Lord Jesus, You are the Prince of Peace, and we ask You to guard their heart and mind in You (Philippians 4:7). Break every chain of confusion, shame, or spiritual oppression that the enemy has tried to place upon them through past words or actions. Let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17), and let Your truth be their shield and buckler.
Lord, we pray for their family—especially their mother and grandmother. If there are any ungodly spirits at work in their lives, we command them to leave in Jesus’ name. Holy Spirit, convict them of any sin, draw them to repentance, and fill them with Your truth. If they are bound by deception, break those chains and let the light of Christ shine into their hearts. Give our brother/sister wisdom in how to love them well while standing firm in Your truth.
We ask for Your guidance in their fast. Lord, reveal to them whether they should continue as they are or transition to a water fast. Let this time be marked by Your presence, not by the opinions of others. Strengthen their body, renew their mind, and fill their spirit with Your Holy Spirit. If there is any pride, legalism, or wrong motivation, convict them and purify their heart. Let this fast be unto You, Lord, and may it bring breakthrough in every area of their life.
Father, we also pray for complete healing from any effects of Adderall or other substances. Restore their mind, body, and spirit to full health. Let them walk in the freedom and clarity that comes from You alone.
Lastly, Lord, we ask for Your peace to flood their heart. Let them rest in the knowledge that You are fighting for them (Exodus 14:14). Give them discernment to recognize Your voice above all others, and let them walk in the authority and victory of Jesus Christ.
We declare all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
