Is being a deadbeat a sin?

I've heard about many others having this problem,and lately I experienced it a few times too. People who, ask for money from you, a presumed "loan", swear by everything they'll pay you back by a certain agreed upon time, then when the time comes, usually don't,or if you remind them, might give you a part payment, then borrow more alittle later, an amount that overrides the part payment.There seems to be an epidemic of this going around,like some worldly trend or something.It's like, everyone thinks it's "cool" to borrow, but when it's time to pay all of a sudden they're hard to find.Is this a sin? I would say on a few fronts. First , dishonesty.They shouldn't make an agreement with someone if they have no intention of keeping it. Besides, something you do to hurt another is a sin, and if the person was counting on the money back by a certain date, and they don't have it because the person "stiffed" them, their unreliability affected someone else. Also, it's disrespectful of the other person, they gain their trust enough to do it for them, instead of showing gratefulness and consideration for the favor, they spit on them by not keeping their word, and letting the other person come up short the amount. So I would say, it's a sin,if they really had no intention of paying back, and said they would, it's a lie,and if they changed their mind once they got their hands on the money, it's still dishonesty. Would you say what they're doing is sinful?{It's also robbery, because they took something that wasn't theirs and didn't return it.}{Oh, also, when the agreed date comes, they "hide out", you have to chase after them for it,after they gave their word.}

Can you please quote the passage brother?
Yeah, I'll look that up, in the meantime , you know the Bible says "Thou shalt not lie", and all liars shall have their part in the lake of fire. So when someone knowingly tells someone they'll pay back on such and such date,and has no intention of doing so,that's considered a lie, so I don't know why everyone is defending them, and casting stones at me for calling them on it.It's not just money, in my reply to Natasha, I mentioned other ways people have lied to me.

Yeah, forgiving means putting your seal of approval on bad actions according to you.As for me not being forgiven,you've been trying to label me a false Christian from day one.

I didn't label you as anything! I made a statement that is in the Bible! Make sure your calling and election is true Steven! Are you forgiven? If your answer is yes then you must forgive, right? Isn't that from the Bible?

We aren't sticking up for anyone who may have lied to you! We are standing on God's Word and standing up for forgiveness!

If you gave them the money as unto Jesus and shared Jesus with them than they wouldn't have lied to you would they?

That's not how it happened, and that wasn't their intent on asking.ALSO, read my reply to Natasha and it shows there's other ways I've been lied to. NOT JUST money. To answer your other question,,yes it says that in the Bible, but define forgiveness.I'm sure it's not meant to mean place your stamp of approval on anothers bad actions,or be an ostrich that doesn't admit it's wrong what they're doing.Check out what Jesus said AFTER forgiving the woman caught in adultery,"Go your way, AND SIN NO MORE".But He DID call it sin, unlike you, being an ostrich about it.

Did you actually read everything I posted? I did call lying a sin! I didn't stick my head in the sand!

What is written about you in heaven? You do realize that everything you have ever done and will do is already written in Heaven! Do you / do we have a right to call someone that we don't even know as a lier? We all are to act as Christ's ambassadors so we are to act as Jesus would and forgive them for they know not what they do! We are to count getting lied to as joy! We are to count being ripped off or robbed as joy! Why? Because it blesses us! We will be repaid if we count it as joy and simply trust Jesus to repay us! We are all either blessed for our actions or cursed for our actions! How are you paid for your actions?

Every time you guess or think you know what I'm doing or thinking is a lie, but do I call you a lier? No, I point you to what the Bible says about what you are posting and I Praise what others post that is Biblical! I have praised you and thanked you for some of your posts that are Biblical!

You are on a public prayer site claiming to be a Christian so act like a Christian or you will be rebuked! Are you a wise man? If your answer is yes then shouldn't you be loving a person who rebukes you?

I say this....before I came on the site, you must have had a very boring life. When I came on, it gave you excitement in your life, that you have someone to argue with,and cast fiery darts at!!This is your excitement, arguing with me!!When you see my name as "current users" you get all excited,because here is the highlight of your day, you can argue with me!!You were probably falling asleep from boredom before I came on!!You should be grateful to me for that, your hobby of arguing with me gives excitement to your day!!

You are not arguing with me Steven, you are arguing with Jesus' Word! I'm not arguing with you! So is your last statement true or are you lying?

I think it's accurate to say you have a personal dislike for me, because I've seen others state negative things, and express unhappiness with situations, similar to what I do,yet you give your standard reply,but say nothing else. Yet when I do the same...I seem to be the only one you react to this way,even if they post a similar message.Now I don't know if you notice that, or it's subconscious or you've convinced yourself that you don't have this bias against me.but to me,it seems like you've made a scapegoat out of me.

The body of Christ is as strong as it's weakest link Steven! I only want to strengthen that weakest link! Way to take your mind off what really matters to concentrate on something that you made up in your head about me!

Speak about skirting the issue, you completely sidestepped the point that others have posted things in a similar way to me, yet you don't react as strongly to them.
