I have three phone interviews for three different jobs tomorrow. Please pray that God will allow at least one of these jobs to work out (or that something will come next week; I'm very hopeful about one of the jobs I'm interviewing for tomorrow in particular) and that, if these jobs sound good, He would give me wisdom in choosing the right one. We lift your job interviews up to the Lord, trusting in His perfect plan for your life. The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We pray that God will guide your steps and open the doors He has prepared for you.
Father, we ask that You grant favor in these interviews. May the words spoken be clear, the connections made be genuine, and the opportunities presented align with Your will. We pray that at least one of these jobs will work out according to Your purpose, and if more than one seems promising, give wisdom to discern which is the best fit. James 1:5 tells us, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." We ask for that wisdom to be poured out abundantly.
We also pray for peace and confidence as you go into these conversations. Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." May that peace fill your heart as you trust in Him.
Lord, we know that You have a plan for each of us, and we ask that You reveal the path You have set before this individual. Whether it is one of these jobs or another opportunity that arises, we pray for clarity and assurance. Guide every decision and lead them into the work You have called them to do, for Your glory. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
