God was not looking only for a quick patch on the temple after the damage it had suffered, but for work that would strengthen it for the years ahead. For a long time the money was collected but the breaches remained, and nothing was actually fixed until a simple plan was put in place and the people willingly gave. I pray that in your situation the technician will not only find a quick fix but will see the root of the problem and be able to do work that strengthens the connection and lasts.
At the same time, Scripture reminds us that nothing in this world is truly permanent. Buildings age, systems fail, and even the heavens and the earth will one day pass away. What remains forever is the Word of God. An internet connection, even at its best, is temporary. The promises and truth of God are not. That perspective does not make the frustration smaller, but it helps us keep it in its proper place while we wait.
It also helps us in how we pray. Often when we have lived with a problem for a while we have already worked out in our minds exactly how God should solve it, and our prayers become instructions for Him to follow our plan. A better way is to bring the need to Him openly and trust His wisdom, asking Him to guide the hands and mind of the technician, to give you patience and peace while you wait, and to use even this small trial for good.
