Father, Thank You for not only inspiring The Scriptures, 2 Tim 3:16, but for guarding and preserving them through the ages by committing them to painstaking writing from the corruption of man and deceitfulness of the serpent for infallible accuracy -- Surely God Almighty is able to keep Your Word pure, as it is written, Luke 16:17"But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for a single stroke of a pen to drop out of the Law," Matthew 24:35, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away," Luke 21:33, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away," Psalm 12:6, The words of the LORD are flawless, like silver refined in a furnace, like gold purified sevenfold," Isaiah 40:8,"The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever,” 1 Peter 1:25, "For 'The word of the Lord stands forever.' And this is the word that was proclaimed to you." "For everything written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant us to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus, so that with one accord we may with one voice glorify Him as God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ," Rom 15:4-6. We join you in praising the Lord for the infallibility and preservation of His Holy Word! What a mighty God we serve, who has not only spoken to us but has ensured that His words remain pure and unchanging through the ages. The Scriptures are indeed our firm foundation, a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105). We stand in awe of His faithfulness to preserve His Word, just as He promised, and we are grateful for the hope, encouragement, and perseverance it provides.

The verses you’ve shared remind us that God’s Word is eternal and unshakable. Heaven and earth may pass away, but His words will never pass away (Matthew 24:35). This truth is a anchor for our souls, especially in times of uncertainty or doubt. The Scriptures are not merely historical records; they are living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12), and they equip us for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16-17). We are called to hold fast to them, for they are the very breath of God, given to instruct, correct, and train us in righteousness.

We also rejoice in the unity we share in Christ through His Word. As Romans 15:5-6 declares, "Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus, so that with one accord you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ." This unity is not based on human effort but on the truth of Scripture and the work of the Holy Spirit in our hearts. It is a unity that transcends differences and brings glory to God.

Let us also remember that the joy and peace we experience in believing come from the God of hope, who fills us with all joy and peace as we trust in Him (Romans 15:13). This hope is not a fleeting emotion but a confident expectation rooted in the promises of God’s Word. It is by the power of the Holy Spirit that we abound in hope, and this hope sustains us through every trial and tribulation.

We pray together with you, lifting our voices in thanksgiving and praise:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of Your infallible Word, preserved through the ages for our instruction, encouragement, and hope. We praise You for its unchanging truth and its power to transform our lives. Lord, we ask that You would continue to guard and protect Your Word from corruption and distortion, that it may always remain a pure and trustworthy guide for Your people.

Father, we pray that You would fill us with all joy and peace in believing, so that we may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Help us to stand firm on Your promises, even when the world around us is shaking. Grant us perseverance to endure, encouragement to press on, and unity in Christ so that we may glorify You with one voice.

Lord, we ask that You would open our eyes to see the wonders of Your Word and our hearts to receive its truth. May we be doers of the Word and not hearers only (James 1:22), living out its principles in every area of our lives. Strengthen our faith, deepen our understanding, and draw us closer to You through the study of Scripture.

We pray for those who may be struggling with doubt or confusion about Your Word. Soften their hearts, Lord, and reveal Your truth to them. May they come to know the hope, joy, and peace that come from trusting in You. We also pray for those who seek to distort or undermine Your Word. Expose their deceit, Lord, and bring their efforts to nothing, for Your Word stands forever.

Thank You, Father, for the unity we share in Christ through Your Word. Help us to live in harmony with one another, bearing with one another in love and striving to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace (Ephesians 4:2-3). May our lives reflect the truth of Your Word, and may we always give You the glory and honor You deserve.

The testimony of your heart cries out from a sure foundation, for you have laid hold upon the Rock of Ages when you cling to the infallible Scripture and the hope it breathes into the soul. The Lord has indeed guarded His Word through every age, preserving it as silver refined seven times, that we might have a sure promise to rest upon. From this very assurance springs the perseverance of the saints, for the life imparted at regeneration is not a transient spark but an immortal flame, begotten again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. The righteous shall hold on his way, not because of any strength in himself, but because the purpose of God secures him, the gift of eternal life cannot be withdrawn, and the covenant stands fast, "they shall not depart from me." This truth is not a license for sloth, but the grandest encouragement for every soul on the road to Heaven, and a welcome call to every sinner who desires salvation to come and receive it with grateful delight.

Yet how fitting is your plea for joy and peace in believing, for these are the sweet flowers that spring from the root of faith. Do not put the cart before the horse by seeking the feelings before the trust; look first to Christ, and the joy and peace will follow as a sure consequence. The God of hope delights to fill His people with such blessedness, for this joy is their strength, their beauty, their charm, making their religion attractive and proving the reality of their faith. There is joy that no man can take, the joy that Christ rose from the dead, the joy of sins forgiven, the joy of a hope that makes not ashamed. And if the night sometimes gathers, the believer always has a remainder of joy which shall be his in due time; his lamp shall not go out in the gloom, for the Lord desires His people to be joy-full, full of joy.

This hope also abounds richly by the power of the Holy Spirit, for the Scriptures were written for our instruction, that through perseverance and their comfort we might lay hold upon hope. When a man has no hope in himself, there is hope for him in the Savior whom God has provided, those wounds still stream with mercy, that thorn-crowned head still beams with the splendor of grace. The very cry, "There is no hope," often proves the doorstep to the true hope, for when the soul is shut up in the prison of the law, it soon may come forth into the full liberty of faith in Christ. The Lord taketh pleasure in those who hope in His mercy, even when their hope is but a tiny thing.

And what a blessed fruit of this faith is the unity for which you plead, that with one accord and one voice we may glorify God. When a man is at peace with himself through the blood of the cross, he grows peaceful with others; joy in the Lord sweetens the temper and binds hearts together. As we are filled with joy and peace in believing, the Spirit knits us as one family, and our common hope in the risen, reigning Christ lifts up a concert of praise. May the very prayer you have breathed return upon your own head a hundredfold, so that you prove day by day that the joy of the Lord is your strength, and that the peace which passes understanding keeps your heart and mind through Christ Jesus. Press on, then, in this holy confidence, and may the God of perseverance and encouragement grant you to abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit, until you stand before His face with exceeding joy.

The Word you have set your heart upon is indeed faithful, preserved by God’s own power so that not a stroke of it can fall away. This is our solid ground. For everything written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. This hope is not a frail thing; it is a rejoicing even now, as if the good things had already come to pass. Let us then set before ourselves a table full of countless blessings, most sweet, without cost, delivered from care, free from envy and every disease, and full of good hope. No turmoil of soul there, no sorrow, no wrath; all is calm, all is peace.

But see how closely this hope is bound to peace and unity. The kingdom of God is not meat and drink, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. For when you fight, when you quarrel, when you make schism in the Church and reproach your brother, you do not build up but destroy the very good you seek. Your good is charity, love of the brotherhood, being united, being bound together, living at peace. This peace Christ left with us as His own gift, a great peace that is the mother of all good things and the foundation of joy. So when we meet together, when the presiding minister gives peace and says, “Peace be unto you,” receive it with all alacrity in heart, not in voice alone but in understanding. For if out of doors you are an enemy, spitting at and calumniating your brother, what manner of peace is this? The makers and producers of peace are called the sons of God, because the Son of God came to set at peace the things in earth and heaven. Earth became heaven because heaven was about to receive the things of earth.

So then, as you pray to be filled with all joy and peace in believing, know that this joy and peace come by the power of the Holy Spirit when we are of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus. Persevere in these things. Even if you feel unworthy, perseverance makes us worthy to receive, as the Canaanite woman found. Hold fast then to the Scriptures with perseverance, and let that perseverance produce unity, for then with one accord and one voice we glorify God, and the hope that does not disappoint abounds in us.

What a profound prayer you have lifted up, anchored in the unshakeable truth that God has given us His word and guarded it through every age. You are standing on solid ground. The very Scriptures you quoted are living and active, and they do exactly what you are claiming: they breathe perseverance and encouragement into weary hearts, they bind us together as one body in Christ, and they flood our souls with joy and peace as we keep believing.

This hope we have is not a fragile wish or a spider's web that snaps under pressure. The world offers false hopes. Job's friends came with eloquent words, but they mistook his agony for hidden sin and pointed him to empty platitudes. They told him the hope of the hypocrite perishes and that he should merely get right with God to have peace. But Job, in the raw depths of his suffering, knew something deeper. He cried out, "Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him." And even when he could not feel it, a different kind of hope broke through: "I know that my Redeemer lives."

That is the hope you are drinking from right now. Not a hope built on your circumstances, your strength, or your own uprightness. It is a hope rooted in the unchanging promise of the living God. When Jesus says heaven and earth will pass away but His words will never pass away, He is guaranteeing that every line of Scripture will accomplish its purpose. You can face seasons where hope seems thin and strength feels spent, and yet this word remains. Even a tree cut down might sprout again, but for a human life, apart from Christ, there seems to be no return. Yet in Him, the resurrection life rewrites the ending. Our hope does not go down to the bars of the pit; it rises with the One who holds the keys of death.

So I rejoice with you that you are filling your mind with these realities. When you ask for unity with other believers, for all joy and peace in believing, and for an overflowing hope by the power of the Holy Spirit, you are asking in perfect alignment with the Father's will. He will do it. He will not cast away a heart that clings to His word. Continue to let your confidence rest in the fact that you reverence Him, that you treasure what He has spoken. That is your place of safety.

May the God who gave us the Scriptures for our instruction cause you to abound in that same hope day by day. May the joy of His way be your strength, and may you know deep within that your tabernacle is at peace because your Redeemer lives.
