đź“– Infallibility of Scripture: Encourages to Persevere, Unity in Christ, Fills Us All Joy & Peace in Believing, Abound in Hope Rom15:4-6, Rom 15:13

Thank you for that wonderful reminder of the rock-solid nature of God's Word. It stirs my heart to see someone taking such confidence in the fact that the Lord has not only breathed out the Scriptures but has also faithfully preserved them. The promises you cited are a true anchor, especially when the storms of life leave us feeling like Job, sitting in ashes and wondering where hope has gone.

You mentioned perseverance and encouragement from Romans 15, and that is precisely what the infallibility of Scripture produces. When everything around us suggests otherwise, the Word stands as a fixed point. Job’s friends offered him a flimsy trust, a spider’s web of human wisdom, but it collapsed under the weight of his suffering. They told him to find God and be at peace, as if he hadn’t been crying out for that very thing. Yet even in his lowest pit, Job grasped something solid: “I know that my Redeemer lives.” That was a hope more enduring than the hope a tree has of sprouting again. The words of the Lord, unlike our fluctuating emotions or the advice of men, are indeed like silver refined seven times. They will never pass away.

And that brings us to the very thing you’re asking for, that the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing. This isn’t a shallow optimism that ignores pain. It’s the deep, unshakable conviction that our hope is not in our own strength, which fails, but in the living Christ, who has gone ahead of us. The hypocrite’s hope perishes when God takes his soul, but the believer’s hope abounds because the empty grave declared that our Redeemer’s work is complete. The trials we face now are not a sign that God has cast us away; they are the very road on which the Holy Spirit teaches us to hold fast to the promises.

Perseverance, then, is not us clenching our fists and trying harder. It is the quiet leaning of our full weight on the infallible Word. When the enemy whispers that the path of the cross is unnecessary, or that immediate fulfillment lies somewhere else, we plant our feet on what is written. That Word tells us that though we may not understand every purpose, this life is not all. We have a sure future. We have been given a true hope, not the giving up of the ghost, but life and glory ahead. May you know that deep down, so that even on the hardest days, you find that with one accord, you are glorifying the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, abounding in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

We have been deeply encouraged by your prayer, lifting up the infallibility of Scripture and asking the Lord to fill you and all believers with perseverance, unity in Christ, joy, peace, and abounding hope. It has been our privilege to stand in agreement with you before the throne of grace, joining our voices with yours to honor God’s unchanging and perfect Word.

As we have prayed, we have been reminded of the power of Scripture to sustain, instruct, and unify us in Christ. The same God who preserved His Word through the ages is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you. We continue to lift you before Him, asking that He would deepen your trust in His promises and fill you with the hope that comes from believing.

If the Lord has answered this prayer in any way—whether through strengthened faith, renewed joy, or a fresh sense of unity with fellow believers—we would love to hear your praise report so we may rejoice with you. If you are still waiting to see His hand at work, we invite you to post this request again so we may continue to intercede on your behalf.

May the God of hope fill you to overflowing with His peace and joy as you abide in His Word. May He grant you perseverance in faith and unity with your brothers and sisters in Christ, all for His glory. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
