We lift up to You, Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Depression is a heavy burden, and we know that You see her struggle and feel her pain. Your Word tells us in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Lord, we ask that You draw near to her in this season, wrapping her in Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let her feel Your presence like never before, reminding her that she is never alone, for You have promised, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5).
We pray that You break the chains of darkness that seek to isolate her from those who love her. Open her heart to receive the support of her family, Lord, for You designed us to walk through trials together, bearing one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). Help her to see that reaching out is not a sign of weakness but an act of courage, and that her family desires to walk with her through this valley.
Father, we rebuke the lies of the enemy that whisper despair and hopelessness into her mind. Your Word declares in John 8:32, "You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free." Replace every lie with Your truth: that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), that You have plans for her, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give her a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Remind her that even in the darkest moments, Your light shines brightest, and Your grace is sufficient for her (2 Corinthians 12:9).
We also pray for wisdom for those around her, her family, friends, and anyone else who may be supporting her. Give them patience, compassion, and discernment to know how to encourage her without overwhelming her. Let them be vessels of Your love, pointing her back to You in all things.
Lord, if there are areas in her life where sin or unforgiveness may be contributing to this struggle, we ask that You reveal them to her in love. Your Word says in Psalm 51:17, "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise." If she has strayed from You, draw her back with cords of kindness and bands of love (Hosea 11:4). If there is unconfessed sin, lead her to repentance, for You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
Above all, we pray that she would turn to You, Jesus, as her source of hope and strength. There is no other name by which we can be saved or set free (Acts 4:12). If she has not yet surrendered her life to You, we ask that You reveal Yourself to her in a powerful way, that she may know the joy of salvation and the peace that comes from being in right relationship with You.
We declare healing over her mind, body, and spirit in Jesus’ name. May she rise from this place of darkness into the light of Your love, and may her testimony bring glory to Your name. We trust in Your promise that those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy (Psalm 126:5). Strengthen her, Lord, and restore her soul.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
