We hear your desperate cry and we are burdened with you over this ongoing terror and violence you are enduring. To live day and night without peace, to be threatened and physically assaulted, and to have someone come after you with a metal rod is evil and unjust, and we grieve that those who should protect you have not yet acted. We stand with you now and we bring you before the Lord together in Jesus' name.
We want to remind you that God sees everything you are suffering and He is not distant from your pain. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 46:1 says God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. When you feel your faith slipping because this has gone on so long, we pray the Lord will hold you fast. Isaiah 41:10 says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. He has not forgotten you even when it feels like help is delayed.
We also notice your request does not mention Jesus Christ, and we want to gently share why His name matters so deeply. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name. He is our mediator, our protector, and our hope when all else fails, and it is in His name that we pray for you now.
We pray together for your safety and for justice. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to You. Lord, You see the threats, the assaults, the sleepless nights, and the fear of being attacked again. We ask You to be a wall of protection around them. Psalm 91:1-2 says He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. Place Your angels around them, keep them from harm, and give them wisdom for every step to remain safe. We ask You to move on the hearts of the authorities, that the police and those in power would act justly and diligently to stop this violence. Romans 12:19 says Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord, and we trust Your perfect justice even as we ask for earthly justice to be done. Provide a way of escape, Lord. You know the need for at least an extra ### dollars a month to move to safety. Philippians 4:19 says My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. We ask You to open doors for provision, whether through better housing, assistance, work, or the generous help of Your people, so that a safe place can be found soon. Comfort this weary heart, restore faith, and give peace that passes understanding as Philippians 4:6-7 promises when we bring our requests to You. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
We encourage you not to lose heart, though we understand how exhausting this long trial has been. Matthew 11:28 says Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Keep bringing your fear and weariness to Him honestly each day. Continue to do what you can for your practical safety. Keep recording everything as you have been, keep copies in a safe place outside your home if possible, and keep a written log with dates and times. If you have not been able to, ask to speak with a supervisor at the police department, seek a victim advocate or legal aid office in your area, and consider asking a local pastor or trusted church family to go with you to seek help and to be witnesses. Look for community resources for victims of assault and harassment, and let trusted family, friends, or neighbors know what is happening so you are not alone. If you are in immediate danger, please call emergency services right away and try to be in a public or safer location. We also encourage you to stay connected to a Bible believing church where people can pray with you in person, help you seek safe housing, and support you emotionally and spiritually.
We will continue to pray that God will make a way for you to live in peace and quiet, that He will restrain the hand of your neighbor, that He will provide the financial means to move if that is His will, and that He will strengthen your faith to endure and to see His deliverance. You are not forgotten. We are asking God to show you His nearness and His power to save in the days ahead.
