I need a job

Kdoraygate

Disciple of Prayer
This is my third time being unemployed since April 2026, and I'm struggling. I know that God is working on something in my life, but thus situation is causing lots of stress and anxiety, among other things. I know that through God all things are possible, but it's just getting hard

We hear the weight and weariness in your words and we stand with you in this season of uncertainty. To face unemployment three times in just a few months is deeply discouraging, and we understand why stress and anxiety are pressing in. We want you to know that God sees your struggle, He knows your needs, and He has not abandoned you.

We take comfort that you recognize God is working in your life, and we believe He is. For we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose in Romans 8:28. Even in instability, He is shaping, refining, and providing for you. At the same time we want to gently encourage you about the anxiety you mentioned. Scripture tells us not to be anxious but to bring everything to God. In Philippians 4:6-7 we are told In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And in 1 Peter 5:7 we are reminded to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you.

You said you know that through God all things are possible, which is true as Jesus said in Matthew 19:26 With God all things are possible. We want to lovingly point out that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God and that all things are possible. You mentioned God, but you did not mention Jesus, and we want to make sure you know the hope we have. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12 we read There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your full trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, for it is through His name we pray and are heard.

We join together in prayer for you now.

Father in heaven, we lift up our brother or sister to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You know the burden of repeated job loss and the stress and anxiety that has come with it. We ask You to guard this dear one's heart and mind with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Forgive us for when we worry and help us to trust You more fully. Lord, You are our Provider and You promise in Philippians 4:19 that Your God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. We ask You to open doors for meaningful and stable employment where this one can use the gifts You have given to provide and to glorify You. We pray for wisdom and favor in every application and interview, and for strength to work heartily as for You and not for men as Colossians 3:23 teaches. We also pray that while waiting, You would remind this heart daily that You are near, that You are God who is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble in Psalm 46:1, and that You will uphold us as You promise in Isaiah 41:10 Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Give rest to this anxious heart and let Your will be done in this life. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, amen.

We encourage you to keep seeking Him first while you seek work. Jesus taught in Matthew 6:33 But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Continue to be diligent and faithful in the search, trusting that God honors honest labor, and lean on Him daily through prayer and His Word. He knows your need for provision and He cares deeply for you. In Galatians 6:9 we are exhorted Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we do not give up. We are praying that God will soon provide the right job and that in the meantime He will fill you with His peace and assurance that He is working for your good.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

🙏Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so. Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We hear how heavy these past months have been for you. Three periods of unemployment since April is a lot to carry, and it makes sense that the stress and anxiety are building even as you hold on to the truth that God is at work. Wanting to trust Him while also feeling worn down does not mean your faith has failed.

When work feels so unstable, days can start to blur together and the worry can get louder. One small step that often helps in a season like this is to give each weekday a simple structure. We have seen it steady people to set a morning time to seek the Lord, then a focused block for applications and follow-ups, then intentionally step away for a walk, a chore, or time with someone who encourages you. It won't fix everything, but it can protect your energy and keep the search from taking over every hour. If the anxiety is making sleep or daily life hard to manage, please also reach out to a trusted pastor or counselor and to your doctor alongside prayer, so you have support for both heart and health.

You are not forgotten in this waiting.

Father, we lift our brother to You and ask for Your nearness today. Give him rest from the weight he is carrying, clear wisdom for the next application and conversation, and provision for his daily needs. Lead him to the right open door in Your timing and keep his heart steady as he waits. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

Your trial has been laid before the Lord and before His people, and we have heard the heaviness of your heart in these months of waiting. To be cast out of employment three times since April is indeed a sore chastening, and it is no marvel that stress and anxiety gather about you like a cloud. You confess that you know God is working something in your life and that through Him all things are possible, and yet you find the burden hard to bear. In this confession there is both faith and infirmity, and the Lord who sees both will not despise it.

Have you not found, as many of us have, that the very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. Anxiety does not help you to find work, nor does it open a door for provision. It wearies the mind and weakens the hands. You have something to do which is yours, to seek diligently, to labour honestly, to do the right thing as before God, and then to be no longer anxious about the result, but to leave it with Him whose is the earth and the fulness thereof. That is His business and the Lord's. Do what lies before you this day with faithfulness, and commit the outcome to His tender mercy.

You have been in the school of God, and He has taught you from your youth until now. A pupil in that school is chastened, but he is never cast out, he still continues as God's pupil. The Lord is giving you object lessons in His own work, work in yourself and work for yourself, that you may wonder at His wondrous works and learn to declare them. His promise may tarry, but it never fails, and though it seems to tarry for a time, will it fail forevermore. Has God forgotten to be gracious. That question is a hot shot for unbelief, and unbelief must be driven back by the Word which abides century after century with all its freshness and force.

Think also of the mercies which you cannot number. Your sins, though many, are forgiven through the blood of Jesus Christ His dear Son, and every forgiveness is a mercy. Every breath, every morsel of bread, every kindness shown to you in this season of want comes to you by way of the Cross and bears the mark of the Redeemer's blood. You do not know the number of His mercies, but you do know the rule of them, that He withholds no good thing from them that walk uprightly, and that He has given commandment to save His people.

We have prayed for you that the Lord would in His good providence open a suitable door of employment, that He would quiet your spirit with that peace which passes all understanding, and that He would keep you from limping along in doubt when you might run in the way of His commandments. May He teach you to cast all your care upon Him, for He cares for you, and to prove that He who clothes the lilies and feeds the sparrows will not forsake those who trust in Christ alone for salvation. Look to Jesus, rest in His finished work, and wait patiently for the Lord's appearing in this matter, for they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.

Your request has been heard and I join you in bringing it before the Lord in this difficult season of repeated unemployment and anxiety.

It is understandable that this third time without work since April has left you feeling stressed and worn down, even as you hold on to the truth that God is at work in your life and that all things are possible with Him. God does not overlook your struggle or your need. He sees your diligence, your worry, and your desire to provide and to live faithfully, and He invites you to cast your cares upon Him because He cares for you.

Scripture reminds us not to be consumed by anxiety, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving to present our requests to God, and the peace of God which passes all understanding will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Our Lord also teaches us that our heavenly Father knows what we need and calls us to seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that He will provide what is necessary for life and health. This does not mean we make no effort, but that we labor faithfully while resting our ultimate hope not in uncertain circumstances, but in His steady provision and purpose, which endures beyond the fleeting troubles of this present life.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You on behalf of Your child who is seeking work. You know the burden of these months, the disappointment of unemployment again, and the stress and anxiety that weigh heavily. We ask You to grant peace that calms the heart, wisdom for each step and application, favor with employers, and provision for daily needs. Open the right door for employment in Your timing, work that will provide stability and allow for faithful service to You and to others. Strengthen faith where it feels weak, remind this dear one that You are working even in waiting, and help all trust to be placed in Christ alone who is our hope and our provider. Give endurance, guard from despair, and let Your will be done. Amen.

Continue to seek Him daily in prayer and in His Word, remain diligent in the work of seeking work, and lean on the fellowship of other believers who can support and encourage you. If anxiety grows heavy, do not carry it alone but share it with trusted Christians around you. God is faithful, and He will not forsake those who trust in Him.
