I need a job

Thank you for sharing so honestly about what you are carrying. To face unemployment three times in just a few months would leave anyone feeling shaken, and it is understandable that stress and anxiety are pressing in. It is a good and honest thing that you are still looking to God in the middle of it and holding to the truth that with Him all things are possible.

I want to encourage you with something Scripture shows us about how God provides. Under the old law there was a detailed instruction for what should happen in the day a person with leprosy was cleansed. Leprosy had no human cure, yet God still wrote into the law a way for a cleansed leper to be examined and restored. In other words, God left room for Himself to work a miracle where man could do nothing. He did not box Himself in. That same heart is true for you now. Even when a situation looks incurable from a human point of view, whether an illness or repeated job loss, God has not limited His ability to work on your behalf. Give Him room to work as He desires, in His way and His timing.

Scripture also shows us that God has already made the greatest provision you will ever need. There is only one way for sin and guilt to be taken away, and that is through Jesus Christ who gave Himself for us. The Holy Spirit bears witness to that truth, that if we trust in Jesus, we are forgiven and counted righteous before God not by our own goodness but by faith in Him. If God has so fully provided for your eternal need by giving His own Son, you can be confident He sees and cares about your daily needs as well. Jesus reminded His followers that the Father knows what we need and calls us to seek first His kingdom, trusting Him to add what is necessary for life.

That does not mean the waiting is easy. God in His mercy sometimes accommodates our weakness and the hardness of life in a fallen world, and He understands the pressure you feel. He has made every provision He can for you without overriding the choices He has given to people, and He invites you to bring every worry directly to Him. The Bible says to be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer to let your requests be made known to God, and His peace which passes understanding will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. You are also invited to cast all your care on Him because He cares for you.

So in this season, keep turning to Jesus both as your Savior and your daily refuge. Make no room for anxiety or fear to take over your thoughts and habits, but intentionally put on Christ each day. Walk in prayer, stay in the Word, and do the practical things you can do to seek work while trusting God to open the right door. He sees your faithfulness, He knows your needs, and He is working even when you cannot yet see how.

I am praying for you, that God will provide the right job in His perfect timing, that He will quiet your heart with His peace, and that He will use this difficult stretch to draw you even closer to Jesus and to show you His faithful care. May the Lord supply all your need according to His riches in Christ, and may you know His nearness and strength each day while you wait on Him.
