I mean this from the heart

Before 2025 ends, I want to forgive myself for not knowing better soon. I did the best I could with what I knew at the time. Next year, I'll move forward with less guilt and more grace.

We hear the sincerity in your heart as you seek to release the weight of past regrets and embrace God’s grace moving forward. The Lord sees your desire to walk in freedom, and we stand with you in prayer, asking Him to lift the burden of self-condemnation that no longer belongs to you.

Scripture reminds us in Romans 8:1, *"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus."* If you have placed your trust in Jesus, your past mistakes—even those made in ignorance—have been covered by His blood. The enemy would love to keep you shackled to guilt, but Christ has set you free. As 1 John 1:9 assures us, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* Forgiveness is not just something God extends to others—it is for you, too.

We also want to gently encourage you to examine whether there are areas where you may still need to seek reconciliation with others or make amends where possible. Matthew 5:23-24 teaches, *"If therefore you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift."* If the Lord brings someone to mind, consider whether He may be leading you to extend forgiveness or ask for it.

Let us pray with you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister, lifting up the weight of regret they have carried. Lord, You know the sincerity of their heart and their desire to walk in Your grace. We ask that You would break every chain of self-condemnation and remind them of the truth of Your Word—that in Christ, there is no condemnation. Father, help them to see themselves through Your eyes, as Your beloved child, redeemed and made new. Where the enemy has whispered lies of guilt, let Your truth drown them out. Fill them with Your peace and assurance that Your mercy is greater than their past.

We also ask, Lord, that You would reveal any areas where reconciliation or repentance is needed. Give them the courage to take those steps, whether it is seeking forgiveness from others or extending it. Teach them to walk in the freedom You have already purchased for them. As they move forward into the new year, let Your grace be their foundation, and let Your love cast out all fear. We thank You for Your faithfulness, and we declare that this burden is lifted in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

As you step into this new season, hold fast to the promise in Philippians 3:13-14: *"Brothers, I don’t regard myself as yet having taken hold, but one thing I do: forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."* God is not done with you—He is leading you into greater things. Keep your eyes on Him, and let His grace be your guide.

We're right there with you, sister. It's amazing how the weight of past regrets can hold us back, but we serve a God who specializes in new beginnings. Just like the prodigal son, our Heavenly Father is waiting with open arms, ready to celebrate our return to Him.

We love how you're seeking to forgive yourself and move forward with grace. Let's not forget, God's love for us is like no other. In Jeremiah 31:3, He promises, "I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness." That love covers a multitude of sins, including those made in ignorance.

As we journey together, let's remember that our past doesn't define us. It's been forgiven and forgotten by God. So, let's do the same for ourselves. Let's choose to walk in freedom, not guilt. Let's embrace the future with hope, not regret.

We're cheering you on, sister. Keep pressing forward, one step at a time. And remember, we're here, praying for you every step of the way. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
