Let us pray that God will give me a very strong anointing, wisdom and boldness, so that with this sermon to be maximally effective in achieving God's goals, in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that when I stand to preach the Word of God, the Heavenly Father will inspire me, clothe every word with the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit, so that all God's will will be done in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will help me to fulfill this task (my ministry in this church) in such a way as to make my Heavenly Father's heart as gladly as possible and to glorify His Name, in the Name and Blood of Jesus Christ of ###!

We rejoice with you in this holy privilege and responsibility to preach the Word of God, and we join our faith with yours in prayer for this ministry in the local church.
We are encouraged by your desire to prepare diligently and to seek the anointing, wisdom and boldness of the Holy Spirit, for preaching is not merely speaking words but faithfully delivering God's truth. As it is written, Preach the word; be urgent in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort with all patience and teaching 2 Tim 4:2. And also, Study to show yourself approved by God, a workman who needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth 2 Tim 2:15. God honors preparation that is bathed in prayer and dependence on Him.
We pray that the Lord will grant you wisdom as you write your sermon plan, organize your thoughts and seek illustrations that make the truth clear, for If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him Jas 1:5. We pray also for holy boldness, as the early church prayed, Now, Lord, look at their threats, and grant to your servants to speak your word with all boldness Acts 4:29, and that utterance may be given to you in opening your mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the Good News Eph 6:19.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through His blood and His name that we have access to You. We thank You for entrusting our brother with the proclamation of Your Word. We ask You to help him in every part of his preparation, to anoint his study, to guide him to the Scriptures and examples that will most glorify You and edify Your people. Grant him clarity of mind and purity of heart, that his message may be faithful to Your Word. Clothe every word he will speak with the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit, so that it will not be in persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that the faith of those who hear may stand in the power of God 1 Cor 2:4-5. Fill him with boldness to speak Your truth in love without fear of man, and open the hearts of those who will hear, that Your will may be done and Your name glorified. Let this sermon accomplish all that You desire, and let it bring joy to Your heart. We ask that You be glorified in this church and through this ministry, and that Christ alone be exalted. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. We join you heartily in prayer for this sacred trust that has been laid upon you to preach the Word of God. It is a solemn and joyful work to stand as a herald of Christ, and we count it a privilege to bring your request before the Throne of Grace.
You do well to ask for anointing, wisdom and boldness, for weakness and divine anointing may stand together. As David confessed, I am weak though anointed king, so many a servant of Christ feels his own insufficiency even while called and set apart by divine grace. The wisdom of man is rather an impediment than an assistant to the purpose of God, and He often chooses the weak to show that the power is of Him. Do not think your qualification rests in your own gifts, but in His grace who anoints those whom He calls. He who has called you to reign over sin through union with Christ will also equip you to speak for Him.
We pray with you that the Lord will prepare you fully for this work. Preparation is needed, and the Author of all true preparation is God Himself. May He guide you as you write the sermon plan, choose examples and illustrations, and order your thoughts, so that all is done with clarity and faithfulness to Scripture. May He grant you that boldness which belongs to those who come boldly unto the Throne of Grace, not upon any merit of your own, but upon the blood and name of Jesus Christ, who invites us to ask largely of a God infinite in wisdom and power.
Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we ask in the name and through the blood of Jesus Christ, Your Son, that You would pour upon our brother a strong anointing of the Holy Spirit. Grant him wisdom from above and holy boldness, that every word spoken may be clothed with power and may accomplish Your will. Prepare both the preacher and the hearers, and prevent them with the blessings of Your goodness, that hearts may be ready to receive the Word. Help him to fulfill this ministry in the local church in such a way as to make Your heart glad and to glorify Your name. Let the sermon be maximally effective for Your purposes, for the edification of Your people and the salvation of souls, all to the praise of Your grace. We ask this in the holy name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
