Beloved of All
Upcoming I have to preach the Word of God at a local ###. Please support me with prayers to God. Let us pray, Heavenly Father, to help me prepare for this sermon (writing a sermon plan, coming up with examples and illustrations, organizing my thoughts and all), in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will give me a very strong anointing, wisdom and boldness, so that with this sermon to be maximally effective in achieving God's goals, in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that when I stand to preach the Word of God, the Heavenly Father will inspire me, clothe every word with the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit, so that all God's will will be done in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will help me to fulfill this task (my ministry in this church) in such a way as to make my Heavenly Father's heart as gladly as possible and to glorify His Name, in the Name and Blood of Jesus Christ of ###!

We thank God with you for this holy privilege and responsibility to preach the Word of God in the local church, and we joyfully join you in prayer for this ministry that God has entrusted to you.

We are encouraged by your desire to prepare diligently and to seek the anointing, wisdom and boldness of the Holy Spirit, for preaching is not merely speaking well but faithfully delivering God's truth. The Scripture reminds us, Preach the word. Be urgent in season and out of season. Reprove, rebuke, and exhort with all patience and teaching 2 Timothy 4:2, and Give diligence to present yourself approved by God, a workman who doesn’t need to be ashamed, properly handling the Word of Truth 2 Timothy 2:15. We also remember that teachers will receive a stricter judgment James 3:1, so we approach this task with humility, prayer and dependence on Christ and not on our own eloquence. As it is written, My speech and my preaching were not in persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power 1 Corinthians 2:4, and If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5.

We pray together for you.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we have access to You and by which we are saved. We lift up our brother to You as he prepares to preach Your Word. Grant him grace to study diligently, to organize his thoughts with clarity, to write his sermon plan and to find fitting examples and illustrations that will make Your truth clear and living to the hearers. Pour out upon him a strong anointing of the Holy Spirit, and fill him with Your wisdom and with boldness to speak Your Word faithfully. As You have promised, grant to Your servant to speak Your word with all boldness Acts 4:29, and pray that utterance may be given to him, that he may open his mouth to make known with boldness the mystery of the Good News Ephesians 6:19. Lord, put Your words in his mouth Jeremiah 1:9 and clothe every word he speaks with the power of the Holy Spirit, so that the sermon will accomplish all that is according to Your will and bear fruit for Your glory. Keep him from seeking to please men, and help him to preach Christ crucified and risen, with grace seasoned with salt Colossians 4:6, so that hearts are convicted, encouraged and drawn closer to You. May this ministry in this church make Your heart glad and glorify Your holy name, and may those who hear have ears to hear and hearts to receive and obey. We ask all this in the holy and mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

We encourage you to continue in prayer and in the Word as you prepare, trusting not in your own preparation alone but in the Lord who anoints and empowers. Remain in communion with Him, seek counsel from mature believers and pastors in that church, and preach with love, truth and boldness, desiring above all that Christ be exalted and the church be edified.

We were so encouraged to read your request. Standing to preach the Word is both a great joy and a real weight, and we admire your desire to do it faithfully for the Lord and for the people who will hear you.

We are joining you in prayer for your preparation in these days ahead. One thing that has helped many preachers is to keep the people in view while you prepare, not just the outline. As you write your plan and choose examples and illustrations, picture the faces in that room and consider how this truth will meet them where they are. A clear, simple structure and one or two honest illustrations often carry more than a lot of points. Be sure to leave room to rest and to pray over the message itself, trusting the Holy Spirit to carry what you cannot.

We are asking God to give you clarity as you study, peace as you organize your thoughts, and boldness when you stand to speak, so your words reflect Christ and bless those who listen.

Father, thank You for entrusting Your servant with this opportunity to preach Your Word. Grant him wisdom and anointing as he prepares, steady his heart, and let every word be spoken in love and truth. Use what he brings to accomplish Your purposes and to bring glory to Your name. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Uplifting you in prayer as you prepare your sermon with the help of our Lord Jesus Christ. Undoubtedly, the Lord finds gladness in you and your willingness to seek His aid to convey His Word to others.
Praying for you in the name of Jesus

We have heard your desire to preach the Word of God and we count it a joyful privilege to join you in prayer before the throne of grace for this holy work.

It is a weighty and blessed thing to stand up to speak in the name of the Lord, and no man can do it aright in his own strength. The Holy Spirit must rest upon your preachers, and blessed is the man who confesses before he preaches that he relies upon the Holy Spirit alone. Without Him there is no life and force and power, but when He comes there is an anointing that makes the Word to live in the hearts of the hearers.

We pray with you, Heavenly Father, in the name and blood of Jesus Christ our Lord. Grant to your servant grace in his preparation, in writing his sermon plan, in gathering examples and illustrations, and in ordering his thoughts aright. Grant him wisdom that cometh from above, and boldness to speak as he ought to speak, not magnifying himself or his own words, but Christ. For the Holy Spirit glorifies Christ, and when we deal with the things of Christ we are on Holy Spirit ground. May every word be set in the light of the Holy Spirit, that it may shine for the salvation of souls and the building up of your people.

We pray that you will clothe every word with the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit, that all your will may be done. Teach him to pray in the Holy Spirit and through the Holy Spirit, for that prayer which is not in the Holy Spirit is in the flesh. Help him to live in the Holy Spirit and give himself up fully to His divine anointing and bedewing. And keep him from grieving the Holy Spirit, whom you have made to dwell within the narrow heart of man as in a palace. Let holiness of life and humble dependence keep the seal unbroken unto the day of redemption.

We ask that this ministry in the local church may be made maximally effective for your purposes, that the Father's heart may be made glad and His name glorified. May the whole blessed Godhead work together in this preaching, the Father glorifying the Son, and the Holy Spirit receiving of Christ and showing it unto the hearers, that sinners may be awakened and saints comforted.

We commit you to Him who is able to make you sufficient, and we pray that you will know the Holy Spirit not merely as a doctrine, but as a living and present Person dwelling with you and in you, enabling you to preach Christ with power. In the holy name of Jesus Christ we ask it. Amen.

"So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with My righteous right Hand" (Isaiah 41:10)

I prayed with you for this, in Jesus' powerful Name, Amen.

Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight".
