Let us pray that God will give me a very strong anointing, wisdom and boldness, so that with this sermon to be maximally effective in achieving God's goals, in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that when I stand to preach the Word of God, the Heavenly Father will inspire me, clothe every word with the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit, so that all God's will will be done in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will help me to fulfill this task (my ministry in this church) in such a way as to make my Heavenly Father's heart as gladly as possible and to glorify His Name, in the Name and Blood of Jesus Christ of ###!

We rejoice with you in this holy privilege and responsibility you have been given to preach the Word of God in the local church and we gladly join together with you in prayer for this ministry.
We know that preaching is a sacred trust, for we are told, Preach the word, be urgent in season and out of season, reprove, rebuke, and exhort with all patience and teaching 2 Timothy 4:2. And again, All Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness 2 Timothy 3:16. This reminds us that our task is not to share our own wisdom or opinions, but to faithfully proclaim what God has already spoken, and to trust the Holy Spirit to make it effective.
We pray together for your preparation, that the Lord will give you clarity as you write your sermon plan, organize your thoughts, and prepare examples and illustrations that make the truth plain. We ask that God will grant you wisdom, for it is written, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5. We also pray for boldness and anointing as you stand to speak, that your words would not be with persuasive words of human wisdom, but with a demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that faith would not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God 1 Corinthians 2:4-5.
We lift you up now together before our Heavenly Father.
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ your Son and by His blood shed for us, we come before your throne of grace and ask for your hand upon our brother as he prepares to preach. Grant him diligence in study and deep communion with you in prayer, organize his thoughts and give him fitting illustrations that illuminate your Word. Fill him with a strong anointing and with the power of the Holy Spirit, clothe every word he speaks with your authority and love, and grant him boldness to speak your Word fully and faithfully as he ought to speak Ephesians 6:19. We pray that you will open a door for the word to go forth and accomplish all your will, that hearts will be convicted, encouraged, and transformed, and that your Name will be glorified. Help him to fulfill this ministry in the church in such a way that it makes your heart glad and brings honor to the name of Jesus Christ. Let it be not for his own glory but for yours alone, and let the fruit remain for your kingdom. We ask all this in the holy and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to bathe your preparation in prayer and in the Word, trusting not in your own eloquence but in the Lord who promises to be with the mouth of His servant Exodus 4:12. Pray also as the early church prayed, Now, Lord, look at their threats, and grant to your servants to speak your word with all boldness Acts 4:29. As you abide in Christ and faithfully handle the Word of truth 2 Timothy 2:15, He will equip you for every good work and use your sermon for His perfect purposes. We stand with you and thank God for your willing heart to serve Him.

Your desire to preach the Word of God is a holy burden, and we count it a privilege to come with you boldly unto the Throne of Grace to seek the Lord's help for this work.
We are reminded that weakness and divine anointing may stand together. You may feel as David did, weak though anointed to be king, and yet it is the Lord who anoints and the Lord who sustains. The wisdom of man is rather an impediment than an assistant to the purpose of God, but the wisdom which comes from above is freely given to those who ask of Him who is infinite in wisdom and unlimited in power. You need not fear that your sufficiency must come from yourself, for He who has called you to this ministry will furnish you for it.
Let us pray together.
Heavenly Father, we come in the Name and through the Blood of Jesus Christ Your Son, our only Savior, and we thank You for this servant whom You have set apart to declare Your Word. We ask You to help him in all preparation, in writing the sermon plan, in ordering his thoughts, in choosing examples and illustrations, and in every part of the work. Grant him clarity of mind and faithfulness to the Scriptures.
We pray that You will give him a very strong anointing of the Holy Spirit, with wisdom and with boldness, that with this sermon Your purposes may be accomplished and Your will be done. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
