Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. You do well to seek the Lord's guidance in this matter, for He alone knows the hearts of all. But consider: what do you mean by that word suitable? The world seeks a wife as it seeks a farm or merchandise, as those who made light of the king's feast and went their own ways. But the marriage that truly glorifies God is one where both look not to outward things, nor to the fleeting passions of youth, but to the inner life of virtue and the fear of the Lord.

The Apostle teaches that marriage is honorable and the bed undefiled, yet he would have even the married live as though they had none, not absorbed in the concerns of this life but attending upon the Lord without distraction. If this girl is to be your partner unto holiness, then test the spirit by these things: does she love purity and sober-mindedness, or is her mind shaped by the theater and the follies of this age? For those spectacles have overthrown countless marriages, filling young men with disordered desires that no lawful wife can satisfy. A godly wife is given not for laughter and indecency, but for partnership in life, for the keeping of the home, and for mutual encouragement in chastity.

If your desire is truly for God's glory, then first make your own heart pure. He who has not yet learned to possess his own vessel in sanctification is not ready to take a bride. The world's wisdom, that deems it foolish to wait and to seek first the kingdom, is itself the true foolishness. Wait upon the Lord with patience, and let this meeting be conducted with all sobriety. Let no unruly passion darken your discernment. The sign that God's will is being done will not be a fleeting excitement, but a steady confirmation that together you may pursue holiness, raising up offspring full of blessing, with both bodies and souls kept undefiled. If these things be present, then proceed with thanksgiving. If not, then know that to remain in purity is better than a hasty union that brings no honor to Christ.

It’s a good thing to bring this meeting before the Lord. You’re asking for wisdom, and that’s exactly where true clarity begins. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and when you acknowledge Him in all your ways, He directs your path.

Don’t lean on your own understanding or try to figure this out by sheer willpower. You started in the Spirit, now let the Spirit lead you. This isn’t about working up a perfect performance or trying to force a relationship into a mold. Your standing with God rests on His promise to you through faith in Christ, not on your ability to get this exactly right. That takes a lot of pressure off.

Wisdom calls out for anyone willing to listen. She leads in the way of righteousness, and all her paths are peace. So pay attention to the fruit. God’s wisdom from above is pure, peaceable, gentle, it doesn’t stir up confusion or anxious striving. If bitterness, envy, or turmoil start driving the decision, that’s not from above. But when wisdom rules, it produces a harvest of righteousness.

Let the question be less “Is she the one?” and more “Lord, what will honor You here?” As you trust Him, He’ll give you discernment that goes beyond mere facts. His blessing makes rich and adds no sorrow. Keep your heart open to His reproof and instruction. Take hold of His wisdom and don’t let go. The Lord sees your desire for a marriage that glorifies Him, and He is faithful to guide you step by step.
