Beloved of All
Tomorrow I have an important meeting with a girl! Let us pray, that the Lord will bless our meeting with this girl and the time spent together! Let us pray, Lord give me a lot of wisdom and show me clearly whether this girl is suitable to be my marriage partner! Let us pray that the Lord will do His will in my relationship with this girl and the Lord might be glorified! Thank you for your support!

We hear your heart’s desire to seek the Lord’s will in this meeting, and we join you in prayer, lifting this situation before our Heavenly Father. It is beautiful that you are asking for wisdom and clarity, for Scripture tells us, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him" (James 1:5 WEB). We pray that the Lord will indeed grant you discernment as you seek His direction.

First, we must address the foundation of any relationship that honors God. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed by God to reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). As you consider whether this woman may be a suitable wife, we encourage you to evaluate not only her character but also whether she shares your faith in Jesus Christ. The Apostle Paul writes, "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). A godly marriage must be built on a shared commitment to Christ, mutual respect, and alignment with biblical principles.

We also want to gently remind you that the purpose of this meeting, and any interaction leading up to marriage, should be rooted in purity and holiness. The world often promotes casual relationships or physical intimacy outside of marriage, but Scripture is clear: "Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4 WEB). If your intentions are toward marriage, we encourage you to approach this relationship with patience, self-control, and a focus on spiritual and emotional connection rather than physical attraction alone.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, seeking Your will in this brother’s life. Lord, we ask that You bless his meeting with this woman, granting him wisdom, discernment, and clarity. May Your Holy Spirit guide their conversation and reveal whether she is the wife You have prepared for him. Father, we pray that You would guard his heart and hers, keeping them both pure in thought, word, and deed. If this relationship is not of You, we ask that You close the door gently but firmly. If it is Your will, we pray that You would open the way for a godly marriage that brings glory to Your name.

Lord, we also ask that You help him to trust in Your timing. Your Word says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB). May he rest in the knowledge that You have a perfect plan for his life, including his future marriage, if that is Your will.

We rebuke any spirit of confusion, impatience, or lust that may try to influence this situation. Instead, we declare that Your peace, Your wisdom, and Your purpose will prevail. May this brother walk in the confidence that comes from seeking You first, knowing that You will direct his steps.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

As you prepare for this meeting, we encourage you to spend time in prayer and in God’s Word, asking Him to align your desires with His. Remember, "Delight yourself also in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4 WEB). If this woman is the one God has for you, He will confirm it in His perfect timing. If not, trust that He has someone even better prepared for you. Walk in faith, brother, and may the Lord be glorified in all you do.

We’re grateful you invited us to pray alongside you. It’s a good thing to bring these hopes to God before a first meeting, asking for wisdom and clear leading rather than rushing ahead. That kind of prayerful posture already shows a heart that wants to honor God in the relationship, and we’re glad to stand with you.

As you spend time together tomorrow, we’d simply encourage you to pay attention, not just to what you feel in the moment, but to what you actually observe. Notice how she speaks about her faith. Notice how she treats the people around her, a server, a stranger, a friend. Those everyday glimpses of character can tell you far more than a well-worded answer to a direct question, and God often makes His will known through the steady, unspectacular details of someone’s life.

It may also help, after you’ve gotten to know her a little, to ask yourself a quieter question: not just “Do I like her?” but “Does being with her make it easier for me to love God and serve His purposes?” That kind of clarity can anchor the excitement in something solid.

One practical thing: sometime down the road, invite a trusted Christian friend or mentor who knows you well to meet her and give you honest feedback. People outside the glow of attraction often notice what we miss.

Let’s pray:

Father, thank You for Your kindness and for walking with this brother in every detail of his life. As he meets this young woman, give him a calm, alert spirit. Grant him wisdom that sees past surface impressions and into what is true and lasting. Let him discern the fruit of her life, and give him the courage to honor whatever You show him. We ask that Your will be done, and that You be glorified through their time together. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Very great 👍 I know that with steady prayer and faith innthe Lord you can both face life's storms together. Its so well that we have someone to lean on in times of trouble. Thank you God for giving us a spouse and wife in your good right time bevause we have to be proven faithful to you to cleave to you and stay with you no matter what ever adter love. Lord Father thank-you forbthe time I get to sound with my ### and ### these years while being sick. You've supported me with prayer. Scriptures and work. For food and shelter. My hope is in you when I am afraid I can continue in prayer and faith to find the hope and healing I need and am searching for only by having a life long relationship with you and Lord Yeshua. Audio bible and prayer. Regular prayer. Thanknyou God I might find a wife someday too. Intil then I must practice my faith and live my faith and be active in my faith. I do my best prayer and worship and bible when theres a lot of quiet and silence and nothing going on so I can see how having a gf or wife around might make it challenging soemtimes to pray and worship. Anyhow I believe its Gods will on it with faith that its Gods will for me to find a wife. Thank God Lord Yeshuas name. The Lord is God and there is no one besides him except for his son which he has given us.

A weighty meeting indeed lies before you, and it is well that you bring it before the throne of grace. Yet remember, the axle of the universe is God's will, not your own choosing. You seek a sign, a clear showing, but the Lord does not always make the path plain in an instant. He will have mercy on whom He will have mercy, and He will have His own choice in this matter, whether we fully grasp it or not. The affinity of marriage is not one of birth, but of a new, divine relationship, and if this union is to be, it must be of His sovereign pleasure, not merely your earnest wish.

Cease from the clamour of "I will" and "I will not," for that is the language of one who would be mightier than omnipotence. Instead, let your prayer be, "If it be Thy will, I will go, or I will stay." Consult the providential will of God in the circumstances that surround you, and let the cloudy, fiery pillar move before you. Sometimes to be passive in the hand of God will be your highest wisdom, waiting until He speaks through the unfolding of His purpose. Seek not a partner who merely suits your fancy, but one whom the Lord has chosen to make holy, for God’s choice of us was not because we were holy, but to make us holy, and His purpose cannot be fulfilled otherwise.

Should this acquaintance lead toward the sacred covenant, it must be for the glory of God, not for selfish gain. Our best profit consists of doing God's will. But if you would truly have His blessing, bow your head and first receive this benediction from His own mouth: "I will bless you, and you shall be a blessing." Seek to be a blessing to this girl's soul, to encourage her in holiness, and in this way you will obtain guidance from God. The reason for God’s mercy lies not in man, but in God's own heart, and if He means to build you a house, He will do it according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of His glorious grace.
