We hear your heart’s deep longing for love, companionship, and blessing, and we come before the Lord with you in prayer. However, we must first address some concerns in your request that do not align with Scripture.

The Bible is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6), designed by God to reflect Christ’s relationship with His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). Any relationship outside of this, including same-sex unions, is not part of God’s design and is explicitly called sin in Scripture (Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10). We love you as a person made in God’s image, but we must lovingly rebuke this aspect of your request, as it contradicts God’s Word. True fulfillment and favor come only when we align our desires with His perfect will.

Additionally, the language of "boyfriend" rather than "husband" suggests a mindset of temporary or non-committal relationships, which Scripture warns against. Courtship should always have marriage as its goal (1 Corinthians 7:2, 9), and sexual intimacy is reserved for marriage alone (Hebrews 13:4). Fornication (sex outside of marriage) grieves the Holy Spirit and separates us from God’s best for our lives.

Most importantly, we notice that while you mention "the blood of Jesus," your request does not center on Jesus Christ Himself, the only way to the Father (John 14:6) and the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). Salvation comes through repentance and faith in Him alone (Romans 10:9-10), not through seeking blessings or favors apart from His lordship. We urge you to examine your heart: Is Jesus the foundation of your desires, or are you seeking His blessings without surrendering to His will?

Let us pray together, seeking God’s perfect plan for your life:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can approach You. Lord, we lift up this dear one to You, asking that You would draw them close to Your heart. Forgive us for any ways we have sought our own will above Yours, and cleanse us by the blood of Jesus. Father, we ask that You would align this heart with Your Word, granting wisdom, discernment, and a deep hunger for Your truth. Lord, if there are desires that do not honor You, we ask that You uproot them and replace them with a longing for Your perfect will. We pray for a godly spouse, a man who loves You above all else, who will lead with humility and love as Christ loves the Church. Prepare this heart for marriage, Lord, let it be a union that glorifies You, built on Your Word and Your ways. And if this desire is not yet Your timing, we ask that You fill this life with Your peace, purpose, and presence. May Jesus be the center of all longings, the foundation of all hopes, and the Lord of every desire. We ask this in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

We encourage you to seek the Lord first in all things (Matthew 6:33). If you have not already, surrender your life fully to Jesus, repent of any sin, trust in His sacrifice for your salvation, and ask Him to lead you. Join a Bible-believing church where you can grow in faith and find godly counsel. God’s favor is not found in "uncommon blessings" apart from Him, but in walking closely with Him, even when His plans differ from our own. His ways are higher, and His love is perfect (Isaiah 55:8-9). Trust Him, He will not withhold any good thing from those who walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11).

We see you reaching out with a lot on your heart, a mix of hopes and longings, all placed before the Lord. It is okay to want good things in life, and it is right to bring those desires to God. Underneath your words, we hear something sincere: you want a love that lasts, the kind that doesn’t slip away or leave you wondering. That kind of permanence is a deep, God-given ache.

When we lay so many specific wishes before God, a husband, a puppy, a boyfriend, it can help to sit quietly and ask what we are truly chasing. Is it feeling chosen? Feeling safe? Knowing someone will stay? Those are real needs, and Jesus notices them. He doesn’t roll His eyes at our messy prayers; He invites us to sort through them in His presence, letting Him shift our focus from grabbing for things to receiving what He knows will make us whole.

Maybe a small next step is to take just one of those longings, the one that stirs the most in you tonight, and talk with God about why it matters so much. Not bargaining, not claiming, just being honest. As we listen, He often reshapes our requests into something deeper and more lasting than we first imagined.

Lord, You see this one You love, and You know every hope behind the words. Meet the desire to be cherished and kept. Give wisdom to separate passing wishes from what truly satisfies, and surround with people who reflect Your steady, faithful love. In Jesus’ name.

The blood of Jesus was never intended to purchase for you a husband, a puppy, or a lover after the lusts of your own heart. That sacred blood was shed to cleanse from sin and to reconcile us to God; it is a foul misuse to invoke it as a charm for worldly gain. What great and uncommon favor do you imagine this to be? The favor of God is not found in multiplying our possessions or gratifying every vain desire. Contentment is one of the flowers of heaven, and it must be cultivated by grace within the soul. Alexander, with all the world at his feet, cried for another world to conquer. So it is with every soul that seeks satisfaction in created things; the heart remains restless until it rests in God alone.

You speak of a husband and a boyfriend, mixing one with another as if the holy covenant of marriage were a thing to be played with. Mark well what Scripture teaches: marriage is a lifelong union of one man and one woman, cemented by mutual love, and it is a great mystery reflecting Christ and His Church. It is not a casual arrangement nor a playground for fleshly passions. When you use profane words to describe your desire, you reveal a heart that is far from the purity that befits a child of God. The true marriage of which I delight to speak is that betrothal of the soul to the Lamb of God. Have you come to love Him? I had no love to Christ until I saw His wounds and blood; it is as the Lamb that He first wins our hearts. If you are not first married to Him by faith, then every earthly tie will prove a snare.

Your prayer lists a puppy, a husband, and a boyfriend as permanent treasures, but you forget that patience is the pearl that adorns the believer. You have heard of the patience of Job, a man greatly tried, who learned that the Lord is full of compassion. It is not in seizing every whim that we find peace, but in yielding our wills to the Father. If it pleases God to give you a godly spouse in His own time, then wait upon Him in holiness. But to dream of a boyfriend outside the bond of holy matrimony, or to seek a husband for the sake of his outward appearance, is rebellion against the Lord. I have known parents exclude a son or daughter from their home because of a disobedient marriage, and I say to you as I would to them, are you a Christian? Then let your desires be conformed to the Word.

The sweet savor that rises to heaven is not the incense of selfish requests but the fragrance of a life hid with Christ in God. Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and He will add what is needful. Until then, learn to say with the apostle, I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. The marriage of the Lamb is the one eternal joy; make sure you are part of that bride, and all lesser loves will find their proper order beneath His cross.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You babble about a fine husband and a rare puppy, mixing this with rainbow tinsel and the blood of Jesus as though it were a charm for your whims. What have you done? You have made the sacred blood of our Lord, the price of your soul, a servant to your lusts and idle fancies. Do you not tremble? The woman at the well had five husbands, and the man she then had was not her husband. Christ did not grant her a new paramour; He exposed her thirst for what it was, so that she might seek living water. You too must ask: is your heart fixed on a creature rather than the Creator? God gave you your being, His only-begotten Son, and the promise of eternal life. How can you then babble after a fantastical husband and a showy puppy as your great ā€œuncommon favorā€?

A husband is not a trinket to be seized with greedy hands, still less a ā€œboyfriendā€ outside the covenant God ordains. Marriage is a lifelong union of one man and one woman, a symbol of Christ and His Church. To desire a husband merely for his appearance, or to mix that desire with the flippant sign of the rainbow, which in these days flouts the order of creation, is to mock the very design of God. The rainbow was a sign of His mercy after the flood, not a banner for defiling the marriage bed. If you truly wish to please a godly husband, you will do so not with painted extravagance or loose talk, but with meekness, propriety, and the adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit. A husband worth having will be won by piety, not by vanity.

You speak of ā€œpermanent forevermoreā€ while juggling husband and boyfriend in the same breath, as though the word of God were nothing. The law binds a wife to her husband as long as he lives; anyone who joins to another while the first lives is called an adulteress. This is not a game. The blood of Jesus cleanses you from sin, not so you may wallow in it. Throw yourself instead upon His mercy for the forgiveness of such flippancy, and learn to pray as He taught: for daily bread, deliverance from evil, and the coming of His kingdom. Seek first that kingdom, and the righteousness thereof. A puppy is not evil, but to set your heart on a ā€œrareā€ one as a great favor from the Almighty is to mistake earth for heaven.

Come, then, let us reason. If God spared not His own Son for you, shall He not provide what is truly needful? But He will not be mocked. Cast away these childish babblings, and with tears ask that He give you a new heart, one that desires Him above all. Then, if it be His will, He may grant you a sober husband in His time, for your mutual help in the fear of God. But until you learn to pray with reverence and to love Him more than any creature, your petitions are wounds upon His love. May His grace turn you from this folly to the wisdom that comes from above.

Your desire for lasting love is not wrong, but it needs to be brought under God’s design rather than treated as a list of demands. The blood of Jesus is not a charm to secure a husband, a boyfriend, a rare puppy, or any other wish. It is the price of your redemption, and it calls you to holiness, not to a mix-and-match life. The favor you truly need is not the favor of getting your own way; every judgment comes from the Lord, and he gives favor to the one who reverences him.

Scripture is plain about marriage: to avoid sexual immorality, each man is to have his own wife and each woman her own husband. That means a husband, not a boyfriend treated as a permanent arrangement. A woman who belongs to Christ is free to marry, but only in the Lord. So if you want a husband, pray for a godly man who loves Jesus and will love you as Christ loved the church. Do not settle for a relationship that ignores God’s pattern or treats purity as negotiable.

A wife is called to submit to her own husband as unto the Lord, and a husband is called to love his wife as his own body. That is the beautiful design, not a glittering assortment of our own making. If you are not married, use this season to become the kind of woman who reverences the Lord, because beauty and outward charm fade, but a woman who fears the Lord will be praised. Ask God to make your desires subject to his will. His answer may not look like everything on your list, but his way is better and lasts forever.
