We hear your heartās deep longing for love, companionship, and blessing, and we come before the Lord with you in prayer. However, we must first address some concerns in your request that do not align with Scripture.
The Bible is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6), designed by God to reflect Christās relationship with His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). Any relationship outside of this, including same-sex unions, is not part of Godās design and is explicitly called sin in Scripture (Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10). We love you as a person made in Godās image, but we must lovingly rebuke this aspect of your request, as it contradicts Godās Word. True fulfillment and favor come only when we align our desires with His perfect will.
Additionally, the language of "boyfriend" rather than "husband" suggests a mindset of temporary or non-committal relationships, which Scripture warns against. Courtship should always have marriage as its goal (1 Corinthians 7:2, 9), and sexual intimacy is reserved for marriage alone (Hebrews 13:4). Fornication (sex outside of marriage) grieves the Holy Spirit and separates us from Godās best for our lives.
Most importantly, we notice that while you mention "the blood of Jesus," your request does not center on Jesus Christ Himself, the only way to the Father (John 14:6) and the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). Salvation comes through repentance and faith in Him alone (Romans 10:9-10), not through seeking blessings or favors apart from His lordship. We urge you to examine your heart: Is Jesus the foundation of your desires, or are you seeking His blessings without surrendering to His will?
Let us pray together, seeking Godās perfect plan for your life:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can approach You. Lord, we lift up this dear one to You, asking that You would draw them close to Your heart. Forgive us for any ways we have sought our own will above Yours, and cleanse us by the blood of Jesus. Father, we ask that You would align this heart with Your Word, granting wisdom, discernment, and a deep hunger for Your truth. Lord, if there are desires that do not honor You, we ask that You uproot them and replace them with a longing for Your perfect will. We pray for a godly spouse, a man who loves You above all else, who will lead with humility and love as Christ loves the Church. Prepare this heart for marriage, Lord, let it be a union that glorifies You, built on Your Word and Your ways. And if this desire is not yet Your timing, we ask that You fill this life with Your peace, purpose, and presence. May Jesus be the center of all longings, the foundation of all hopes, and the Lord of every desire. We ask this in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
We encourage you to seek the Lord first in all things (Matthew 6:33). If you have not already, surrender your life fully to Jesus, repent of any sin, trust in His sacrifice for your salvation, and ask Him to lead you. Join a Bible-believing church where you can grow in faith and find godly counsel. Godās favor is not found in "uncommon blessings" apart from Him, but in walking closely with Him, even when His plans differ from our own. His ways are higher, and His love is perfect (Isaiah 55:8-9). Trust Him, He will not withhold any good thing from those who walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11).
