I am leaving Christianity.

Beloved of All
I will be throwing my Bible in the trash today and I’m turning away from Christianity. It’s like I’m waking up from a fog and I was possessed by the Bible and its spirit. I feel bad for all the trust, love, time, and faith I poured into Christ. It just really messed me up and corrupted my soul. I was not strong enough and also it’s like a drug and also it makes me feel like a pawn. I had no self-respect when being under Christ. I am thankful for the love and gentleness, etc., of the Christian figures. However, it’s dangerously bringing “faithfuls” together, many who are broken and dangerous and sinful. Sinners need Christ the most. If you turn to Christianity, you’re literally dealing with the worst humanity has to offer. I have had very very bad experiences from Christians (theft, attempted rape, etc.). The best people I’ve met were not Christian. I thank the kind souls in this community. However, I am walking out. I just wish there was a disclaimer before joining Christianity. Had I known it for what it was, I never would have joined. I feel such peace and relief right now.

We are saddened to hear of your decision to leave Christianity and your intention to discard your Bible. We understand that you feel hurt and disillusioned, but we want to remind you of the truth found in God's Word. Firstly and most importantly, your post does not mention Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved.

The Bible warns us that in the last days, people will turn away from the faith, listening to deceiving spirits and things taught by demons (1 Timothy 4:1 WEB). It is important to remember that our faith is not based on our experiences or the actions of others, but on the unchanging Word of God.

We are also reminded to try to tell people. The word is near you, in your mouth, and in your heart; that is, the word of faith, which we preach: that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed (Romans 10:8-11 WEB).

The Bible warns us to expect. But all things that are reproved are revealed by the light, for everything that is revealed is light. Therefore he says, Awake, you who sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you (Ephesians 5:13-14 WEB).

The Bible also warns us that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils (1 Timothy 4:1) because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved (2 Thessalonians 2:10).

It is not uncommon to feel hurt or disappointed by the actions of fellow Christians. We are all imperfect people, saved by grace, and we still sin and make mistakes. But that does not negate the truth of the Gospel. Jesus Christ came to save sinners, and He warned us that in this world we would have trouble, but He also told us to take heart, because He has overcome the world (John 16:33 WEB).

We urge you to reconsider your decision. Instead of throwing your Bible away, we encourage you to open it and seek God's face. Ask Him to reveal Himself to you and to heal your wounds.

Remember this, my beloved brothers. Let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to wrath, for the wrath of man does not work the righteousness of God. Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his natural face in a mirror; for he sees himself, and goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of freedom, and continues, not being a hearer who forgets, but a doer of the work, this man will be blessed in what he does (James 1:19-25 WEB).

Let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up our dear brother who is struggling in his faith. Lord, we ask that You reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way, that You would heal his wounds and restore his faith. Help him to see that Your truth is not based on the actions of others, but on Your unchanging Word. Give him the strength to forgive those who have hurt him, and to turn his eyes back to You. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

I've been where you are, feeling the same disillusionment and hurt. It's like we've been living in a fog, and now we're waking up, questioning everything. But remember, even Jesus' own disciples struggled with their faith, even denying Him at times. It's okay to feel this way, but don't let it lead you away from the truth.

We've all had bad experiences with people claiming to be Christians. They're not a reflection of Jesus, but of their own sin. The Bible warns us about wolves in sheep's clothing (Matthew 7:15). We must be careful not to throw the baby out with the bathwater.

You mentioned feeling like a pawn. That's not what Jesus wants for us. He wants us to be His beloved children, free and alive in Him (Galatians 4:7). He's not a dictator, but a loving Father who wants the best for us.

I understand your desire for a disclaimer before joining Christianity. It's like entering a big family, with all its quirks and flaws. But remember, every family has its problems, and that doesn't negate the love and goodness within.

Please, don't throw your Bible away. It's a treasure, a love letter from God to us. Instead, open it, and ask God to speak to you. He's not silent, even when we feel He is. He's there, waiting, loving you.

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Lord, we come to You today, feeling lost and hurt. Help us, Lord. Help us to see You clearly, to hear Your voice above the noise. Heal our wounds, Lord. Give us the strength to forgive, to love, to trust again. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Christians are imperfect and a work in progress. However Jesus himself is perfect...look to Him ,..not people as the foundation of your faith. Also we are His servants...not the other way around. Many people turn against God when things didn't go their way regarding their prayers. However it's a bad idea to reject Jesus because He is our only mediator to the Father.

I’ve turned to Jesus a lot. He just rubs me against bad followers. He orders me to hurt myself by getting with bad people. People that tried to hurt me, I got hurt following Christ. Never again. This time if I get hurt it will be under the laws of the universe, because clearly the name Jesus is useless in the fight against unrighteousness. It’s crazy to pretend like Christ can protect us. This whole “testing your faith” thing doesn’t make sense. If I had a child and was all powerful I would never test their faith through trials that hurt them and make them suffer.

Satan is the author of all bad things happening..not Jesus. God can't be blamed for stuff Satan does..all things will be made right in due season ...for now yes..the innocent suffer all the time..God gave free will and people choose to follow Satan and harm others..God gave them free will to choose..however in the end righteousness prevails..hang in there.
