Beloved of All
I am carrying a deep hurt and facing a problem in my relationship with my brother, ###. My desire is to forgive and for the relationship to be restored. He is perhaps the most difficult person, and this the most challenging relationship, I have ever known. Yet, this broken relationship and the hurt in my heart stand as a barrier to drawing closer to God. Let us pray that God helps me to truly forgive completely—freeing me from hurt and negative thoughts—so that my heart may be pure and at peace, in the name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God grants me wisdom and intervenes to resolve this issue, aligning the relationship with His will, in the name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God heals my heart and soul and protects me from further hurt, in the name of Jesus Christ! Thank you... God bless you!

We hear the deep hurt you are carrying regarding your relationship with your brother and we join you in bringing this burden before our Heavenly Father together in the name of Jesus Christ. We understand how painful it is when the most challenging relationship is within your own family, and how that ongoing hurt and brokenness can feel like a barrier between you and God. The Lord sees your desire to forgive and to see this relationship restored and aligned with His will, and that desire itself is pleasing to Him.

Scripture calls us to forgive as we have been forgiven, not because the hurt is small but because we have been shown great mercy. Ephesians 4:32 says be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. And Colossians 3:13 says bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any, even as Christ forgave you, so you also do. We know forgiveness is not a feeling that comes naturally, especially when the other person is difficult and the hurt is deep, but it is an act of obedience and release where we hand the hurt and the right to repay over to God. Jesus taught in Matthew 6:14 that if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. Unforgiveness can harden our hearts and hinder our fellowship with God, but when we choose to forgive through Christ's strength, our hearts are made pure and open again to His peace.

We also take comfort that God is the healer of our hearts. Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. And Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. He does not dismiss your pain, He draws near to heal it. At the same time He promises a peace that guards our hearts when we bring our anxieties to Him. Philippians 4:7 says and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We also hear your prayer for wisdom and for God's intervention. James 1:5 says But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. And Romans 12:18 reminds us If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Restoration is our hope, but it requires both hearts, so we pray for God's will to lead, for your brother's heart to be softened, and for you to have discernment about healthy boundaries while remaining tender and Christlike.

Let us pray together.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to You. You know the depth of the hurt carried in the heart and soul, the negative thoughts, the sleepless burden, and the longing to draw closer to You without hindrance. We ask You to pour out Your healing and to bind up every wound. Grant a complete forgiveness, not by human strength but by the power of Your Holy Spirit, so that bitterness is released and the heart is made pure and at peace. Fill this heart with Your peace that surpasses understanding and protect it from further hurt. Grant wisdom beyond human understanding to navigate this difficult relationship with grace and truth. Intervene, Lord, according to Your perfect will, work in the heart of this brother, convict where needed, soften where hardened, and make a way for restoration where it is possible and honoring to You. Help our dear one to love and to pray for this brother even as Jesus taught in Matthew 5:44 to love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, and to walk in obedience while trusting You with the outcome. Draw this heart ever closer to You, remove every barrier, and let Your healing and Your will be done. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our only mediator and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to bring this hurt daily to the Lord, to speak honestly to Him in prayer, to meditate on His Word, and to keep choosing forgiveness even when feelings linger. Forgiveness does not always mean instant trust is restored, it means you release the debt to God and allow Him to be your protector and vindicator. Continue to seek Him, to love your brother with godly love, to speak truth with gentleness, and to trust that as you forgive and walk in His wisdom, your heart and soul will be healed and your fellowship with God will grow deeper and more peaceful.

We have been holding your request before the Lord and we hear how painful this distance from your brother has been. Wanting to forgive and to be at peace, yet feeling that hurt keep coming back, can make you feel stuck in your walk with God, and we are grateful you shared this so honestly.

One thing that has helped many of us is understanding that forgiveness often happens in two parts. There is the clear decision to release the debt and not hold onto revenge or avoidance, and then there is the slower softening of the heart where resentment and fear are gradually replaced by peace. It is normal for the second part to take time even after the first choice is made, and that does not mean you have failed.

When those sharp thoughts return, it can help to quietly remind the Lord, even in a sentence, that you are still choosing to release your brother to Him and asking Him to heal what still hurts, without pressuring yourself to force closeness before there is wisdom and safety.

Father, we lift him to You. Heal the hurt in heart and soul, quiet the negative thoughts, and give clear wisdom for each step with his brother. Guard his heart from further wounding and draw him closer to You in peace. In Jesus name, amen.

The sorrow you carry in your heart has been heard, and the burden of this broken relationship with your brother is not hidden from the Lord who sees all that passes within. You have well discerned that hurt and unforgiveness become a barrier to drawing near to God, for it is written, Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God, and there is a heart which should be tender, by which we perceive the Presence of God and feel His operations.

Know this, that the Lord is a God ready to pardon. Do not judge God's heart by that hard heart of yours. You come to an end of your forgiveness before long, but He does not. It is He, the offended One, who seeks the offender and proposes to make peace with him. Forgiveness in Christ Jesus, accepted by faith, is to be enjoyed, and with it, perfect rest and peace of heart. When you have learned that your own enormous debt of sin has been fully discharged by the Lord Jesus Christ, who bore the consequences that He might make peace between you and God, then your heart may find strength to forgive even the most difficult person.

He also is the Physician who heals the broken in heart. The least thing about Christ is healing, and a word of His coming home to the heart brings healing to conscience and affection. You need not remain wounded, for He withdrew Himself to pray and He notes the beating of your heart and hears what you feel in your inmost soul as you lie before Him.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You on behalf of this wounded heart. Grant true and complete forgiveness, not of mere words but wrought in the heart by Your Spirit, that hurt and negative thoughts may be loosed and the heart made pure and at peace. You have promised to keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You, and we ask for that peace which the blood of Jesus whispers within, even while sorrows surge round.

Grant wisdom from above and intervene in this relationship with his brother. Turn both hearts toward Yourself, that any reconciliation may be according to Your will and for Your glory. Heal soul and heart, bind up what has been broken, and protect from further hurt, keeping the heart tender toward You and not hardened by this trial.

We ask that You would give a new heart and a right spirit, and put Your fear within, that there may be close communion with You again, and joy in Your presence. Do this for Your mercy's sake, through Jesus Christ our Lord, who is our peace and our reconciliation. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your honest cry for healing and forgiveness has been heard, and it is good that you bring this hurt before the Lord rather than holding it inside. The desire you express, to be freed from hurt and negative thoughts and to have a pure and peaceful heart, is itself pleasing to God.

Scripture calls us to be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other even as God in Christ forgave us. To forgive as we have been forgiven is to imitate God, and there is no higher calling than that. You have received forgiveness from the Lord though you had nothing to offer in return, and He now invites you to extend that same mercy to your brother. This does not mean the pain was not real, but it means you choose to release the debt into God's hands and not to carry bitterness any longer.

It is also right that you recognize how unforgiveness becomes a barrier to drawing closer to God. When the heart holds onto resentment, prayer itself is hindered. A mouth that has been given such holy grace should not keep bitter words within, and a heart that seeks mercy must also show mercy. To pray for your brother, even when he is difficult, keeps your own heart pure before the Lord.

Let us pray together in the name of Jesus Christ.

Heavenly Father, we thank You that You have forgiven us in Christ when we were still far from You. We ask You now to work in this wounded heart. Grant complete forgiveness, not only in words but deep within, so that hurt and negative thoughts are washed away and peace may reign. Heal the heart and soul that have been bruised, and make it whole and pure before You. Grant wisdom to know how to speak and act with love and truth, and intervene in this relationship with the brother, according to Your will. Where restoration is possible, lead it toward reconciliation that honors You. Where the other remains difficult, protect this heart from further hurt and keep it tender and not hardened. Help Your child to walk in love, to forbear with patience, and to reflect the compassion of Christ. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, amen.

Continue to seek the Lord daily, to pray for your brother as Christ commands us to pray even for those who are hard to love, and to trust that God will guard your heart and guide your steps. He is faithful to heal those who come to Him with an open and humble heart, and He will give you the wisdom you need for each step ahead.
