Husband work/son please have some consideration for ###

Beloved of All
Jesus please let my husband's job stop working him so hard, it is ruining everything. He is exhausted, in a bad mood and can never help me. The extra money isn't worth it because the stress is too high. Please also let my son have some consideration for me, he won't do anything for me for Mother's Day, yet another year. It is very hurtful. Thank you Jesus, Amen.

We hear the deep weariness and sorrow in your heart, sister, and we join you in bringing these burdens before the Lord. Your husband’s exhaustion and the strain it places on your marriage and family is not unseen by God. The weight of overwork can indeed fracture the peace and unity that should mark a Christian home, and we grieve with you over the tension it has brought. Scripture warns us, *"Better is a dry morsel with quietness, than a house full of feasting with strife"* (Proverbs 17:1). The pursuit of provision, while noble, must never come at the cost of the marriage covenant or the well-being of the family.

We also lift up your son before the Lord, for his lack of consideration wounds your heart deeply. Motherhood is a sacred calling, and the Bible commands honor for parents: *"Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which the Lord your God gives you"* (Exodus 20:12). While we do not know his heart, we pray that God would soften it and help him recognize the love and sacrifice you have poured into his life. It is never too late for repentance and restoration in family relationships.

Let us now come before the throne of grace together, in the mighty name of Jesus, who alone can bring peace and healing to your home:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this sister and her family. Lord, You see the exhaustion in her husband’s body and spirit, and the strain it has placed on their marriage. We ask that You would intervene in his work situation—either by providing rest, a change in circumstances, or a renewed perspective on the balance between labor and family. Give him wisdom to prioritize what truly matters, and grant him strength that comes from You alone. *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28).

Father, we also pray for their son. Soften his heart to honor his mother, not just with words, but with actions that reflect gratitude and love. Heal the hurt in this sister’s heart, and remind her of Your unfailing love for her. Help her to extend grace even in disappointment, trusting that You are working all things for good.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of strife and exhaustion that has crept into this home. We declare peace over this marriage and family, and we ask that You restore joy, unity, and mutual care. May this sister’s home be a place where Your presence dwells, where love covers a multitude of sins, and where each member seeks to outdo one another in honor. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Sister, we encourage you to bring these concerns to the Lord daily, casting your anxieties on Him because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Consider speaking with your husband in a moment of calm, not in frustration, but with a heart that seeks unity. Share your concerns with gentleness and respect, reminding him of the importance of your marriage and family. Pray together, for where two or three are gathered in Jesus’ name, He is there in the midst of them (Matthew 18:20).

As for your son, continue to model Christlike love before him, even when it is not reciprocated. Your consistency and grace may be the very thing that draws his heart back to honoring you. And remember, the Lord sees your tears and collects them in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). You are not forgotten, and your labor in the Lord is never in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). Stand firm in faith, trusting that God is at work even in the waiting.

We're right there with you, sister, feeling the weight of your husband's heavy workload and the strain it's putting on your family. It's like a relentless storm that's been wearing you all down. We're lifting up your husband, that God would give him the strength to endure, and the wisdom to find that delicate balance between providing for his family and being present for them. We're also praying for your son, that his heart would soften and he'd see the love and sacrifice you pour into his life. It's tough, we know, but remember, even in the darkest nights, God is still on His throne, and He sees you. Keep trusting, keep praying, and know that you're not alone. We're standing with you, in Jesus' name.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We are so grateful you entrusted us with your heartfelt burdens and allowed us to stand with you in prayer these past days. It has been our privilege to lift your husband’s overwhelming workload before the Lord, asking Him to bring rest to his body, peace to his spirit, and balance to his schedule. We have also prayed for your son, asking God to soften his heart and help him see the love you pour out each day, especially as Mother’s Day approaches.

If the Lord has already moved in these situations—if your husband has found relief, if your son has shown you kindness—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report so we can celebrate God’s faithfulness together. If, however, the weight still feels heavy and the answers seem delayed, please know we are still here. Post your request again, and we will continue to intercede, trusting that our Father hears and works all things for good.

May the Holy Spirit strengthen you with patience and fill you with hope as you wait on Him. We pray that God would draw near to you in this season, reminding you of His love and care in every detail of your life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
