Beloved of All
Jesus please let my husband finish his work he is overwhelmed and exhausted. Please also let my son go to sleep earlier. Please let my husband's package arrive and please help my anxiety. Please also let my therapist understand I need to switch to another one, she isn't being helpful. Thank you Jesus, Amen.

We join with you in bringing these burdens before the Lord, for He cares about every detail of our lives, both large and small, and we thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have access to the Father.

We hear your heart for your husband who is overwhelmed and exhausted with his work, and for your son, and for your own struggle with anxiety. Scripture reminds us in Matthew 11:28, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. And in Colossians 3:23, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men. We pray for your husband that God would give him strength, clarity and endurance to finish his tasks, and that he would find rest not only from his labor but in Christ Himself. We also lift up the practical need of his package arriving safely and in good time, trusting that our Father knows our daily needs and is faithful in small things as well as great.

We also pray for your son, that the Lord would grant him peaceful and timely sleep. We are reminded in Psalm 4:8, In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety. And in Psalm 127:2, for he gives sleep to his loved ones. We pray God would establish a gentle rhythm of rest for him and for your household, bringing peace to your evenings.

For your anxiety, we pray the Lord would quiet your heart with His perfect peace. We are told in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And in 1 Peter 5:7, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. We encourage you to continue casting every worry upon Him daily, bringing your thoughts into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and seeking rest in His Word and presence. If anxiety persists, it is wise to seek godly counsel and support, and we pray God leads you to the right help.

Concerning your therapist, we pray for grace and clarity as you navigate that relationship. It is right to seek help that truly helps you and honors the Lord, and to communicate your needs with honesty and kindness. We pray your current therapist would receive your request to switch with understanding, and that God would guide you to another counselor who will listen well, speak truth with compassion, and help you walk in wisdom and healing.

We pray together now, Father, we lift up this wife and mother to You in the name of Jesus. We ask You to strengthen her husband, to renew his energy, to help him complete his work with excellence and to grant him rest for his body and soul. We ask You to lay Your hand of peace upon their son, that You would help him to fall asleep earlier and sleep soundly through the night, bringing refreshment to him and to his parents. Lord, we ask You to provide for the safe and timely arrival of the package. Father, we bring our sister's anxiety before You and ask that You would replace her worry with Your peace that surpasses understanding, guarding her heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Give her wisdom regarding her counseling, open the door to the right therapist if it is Your will, and let all communication be done in grace and truth. We thank You that You hear us when we pray in Jesus' name, and we trust Your perfect will and timing in all these things. Amen.

We hear how much you are carrying at once in this prayer, and we are praying with you in it. Seeing your husband exhausted and overwhelmed while you are also carrying worry for your son's sleep, a waiting package, and your own anxiety is a heavy load, and it makes sense you feel stretched thin. Wanting your therapist to really hear you about needing a change is an important need too.

When several everyday pressures pile up at the same time, it can help to untangle them one at a time. For the therapy concern, it is reasonable to advocate for what you need. You might write down in a few short sentences what has not been helpful and what you are hoping for in a new therapist, and ask the office directly what the process is to make a switch. If anxiety feels especially heavy or persistent, please keep reaching out to a trusted counselor or medical professional alongside prayer so you have ongoing support.

Jesus, we bring this family to You. Give her husband rest and strength to finish his work, give their son peaceful sleep, and ease her anxious heart with Your nearness. Give her wisdom and kind words as she talks with her therapist and guide each next step. Provide for the practical needs like the package as well. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your prayer has been brought before the Lord with thankfulness for your faith in seeking Him in these daily cares. We join you in lifting your husband, your son, and your own heart before the throne of grace.

Our Saviour says to us, Do not be anxious about your temporal affairs. Be prudent and diligent in what God has given you to do, but do not be so affected by external things as to get into a state of worry and distress. I have found by experience and observation that anxiety has never comforted any soul, nor brought any grist to the mill, and the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits us to meet that difficulty. Your husband's weariness and overwhelming work, the broken sleep of your little one, the waiting for what is expected, these are real burdens, but underneath are the everlasting arms. Having laid the whole weight of your eternal and your temporal interests upon Him whom God has revealed to be your Saviour, you may leave them there in perfect safety, without a moment's care or anxiety, for God's everlasting arms must carry out God's eternal purposes.

We pray that the Lord will sustain your husband and give him strength to finish the work set before him, and grant him rest from his exhaustion. We ask that He will give your son sweet and timely sleep, for He gives to His beloved sleep, and that He will order the household in peace. We ask the Lord to provide for the package you await according to His good providence, and above all to quiet your anxious heart with the knowledge that all things are yours in Christ, and that He cares for you.

Concerning your counselor, we pray that the Lord will guide you with wisdom to find help that is truly helpful, and that He will make your path clear with gentleness and honesty. In regard to whom we receive into our confidence in such matters, we do well to seek direction of God and exercise faith in His Word that even in these little matters He will direct and guide us. May He lead you to wise and faithful counsel that will help you walk in truth and peace.

Let family prayer be maintained with double zeal, for it is the nutriment of family piety. God in infinite grace has entered into covenant to preserve His people and their households, and He hears the cry of those who seek Him together. Cast all your care upon Him, for He cares for you, and rest upon the promise that underneath you are the everlasting arms.

We pray that the Lord will grant you calmness of spirit, strength for your husband, rest for your son, and clear guidance for your next steps, all for His glory and your good through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
