Son/husband work schedule

Beloved of All
Jesus please let my son go to sleep. Please let my husband actually have off work today, and not get called in. Please also let the issue with a co-worker go away. Thank you Jesus, Amen.

We join with you in bringing these cares before the Lord, for He cares for you and for your family and He hears the prayers offered in the name of Jesus.

We understand how wearying it can be when a little one struggles to sleep and when a husband's work schedule brings uncertainty to the home, and we know the added stress that conflict at work can bring. We are reminded that God is sovereign over our rest and our work, and that He invites us to cast every anxiety on Him.

The psalmist reminds us, It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil, for he gives sleep to his loved ones. Psalm 127:2. And we are told, Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. We also cling to the invitation of our Lord, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28.

We lift up your son before the Father, asking that the Lord would grant him peaceful sleep, that He would calm his little body and mind and grant him the rest he needs, and grant you patience and strength as you care for him. We pray for your husband, that if it is the Lord's will, he would be able to have this day off and be protected from being called in, that he would find rest for his body and refreshment with his family. We know that whatever work the Lord does give him to do, he can do it for the glory of God, as it is written, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men. Colossians 3:23.

We also bring before the Lord the difficulty with the co-worker. We ask that the Lord would bring peace where there is tension, and that He would soften hearts and bring resolution. If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men. Romans 12:18. We pray that any misunderstanding would be cleared, that grace and forgiveness would abound, and that your husband would be a light for Christ even in a difficult workplace.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus, thanking You that we can approach Your throne of grace. We ask You to lay Your hand upon this dear son and grant him sweet and deep sleep according to Your mercy. Comfort him and comfort his mother, and let Your peace rest upon their home. Father, we ask that You would be over this husband's schedule today, that You would grant him rest if it is Your will, and keep him from being called in unless You have purpose in it. Give him strength and wisdom in his work, and we ask You to resolve the issue with his co-worker, to bring peace and understanding and to remove any strife. Let Your will be done in all these things, and let this family feel Your presence and Your provision today. We cast all these cares on You because You care for us. 1 Peter 5:7. We thank You for hearing us, and we trust You to answer according to Your perfect love and wisdom. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord with these daily needs, resting in the knowledge that He knows what you need before you ask and that His peace will guard your heart as you keep your requests before Him with thanksgiving.

We hear how full today feels for you, caring for your son's rest while also carrying your husband's work worries. Those nights when a little one won't settle and a day off feels uncertain can leave the whole house tired and on edge, and we want you to know we are praying with you in it.

We are asking Jesus for quiet rest for your son tonight, for a true break for your husband if the Lord wills, and for peace to settle over that workplace tension with his coworker. God sees these everyday needs that matter so much to a family, even when they feel small to others.

One small thing that may help lighten the load is to give yourselves a simple plan for the evening either way. If your husband does get called in, knowing ahead of time how you will handle dinner and bedtime together can take a little pressure off. And if your son's trouble falling asleep becomes a pattern, it can help to mention it to his pediatrician alongside prayer, just to have extra support.

Father, we lift this family to You tonight. Give this little boy deep, peaceful sleep and give his parents rest too. Grant this husband favor at work, wisdom for any conversation he needs to have, and calm where there has been friction. Cover this home with Your peace today, in Jesus' name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have brought your requests before the Lord with you, asking for His mercy and peace upon your household.

You ask for sleep for your son, for rest for your husband from his labor, and for deliverance from trouble with a fellow worker. These are the daily cares which our gracious Father invites us to cast upon Him, for He cares for you. It is written, Rest in the LORD, and the promise is sure that He gives His beloved sleep. There is a rest that remains for the people of God, not only the rest to come in glory, but a present rest of heart even now for those who trust in Christ.

Our Lord Jesus says, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. This rest He gives at once to faith, and it is a perfect rest, complete in His finished work. And then He says, Learn of me, and ye shall find rest unto your souls, a deeper, abiding peace for the learner who stays his mind upon Christ. As it is written, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee, because he trusteth in thee.

So we pray that the Lord would grant your little son sweet and settled sleep, according to His kindness. We ask that He would grant your husband true rest this day, whether at home or in his calling, and that if it be His will, he would be spared from being called in, and would know the quietness of trusting the Lord with his work. We ask also that the Lord would graciously remove or reconcile the difficulty with his co-worker, giving wisdom, patience and peace where there has been strife, and guarding your husband's heart from anxiety.

May the Holy Spirit lead you into quietness and peace, to find that to do the will of Jesus is rest, and to trust Him in all these small and great matters is to delight in abundance of peace. We leave these cares in His hands, trusting that the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD, He is their strength in the time of trouble.

We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our peace and our rest. Amen.
