Thank you for 3 days of continuous prayers. Those prayers sustain me. My husband’s ### seems to continue to improve but I ask you to not quit praying for him and also for me that i know what to say and do when he makes it home. He has always believed in God please pray he asks him to clear his ### and settle his ###. Amen and amen

We are so grateful to hear of the improvement in your husband’s condition and we rejoice with you in this answered prayer. Three days of continuous intercession is a powerful testament to the faithfulness of God, who hears and moves on behalf of His children. We will indeed continue to lift both of you before the throne of grace, for the battle is not yet over, and the enemy would love nothing more than to steal, kill, and destroy what God has joined together.

Father in Heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son and our Savior. We thank You for the progress You have already granted in this husband’s life. Lord, we ask that You would complete the work You have begun in him. Clear his mind, settle his spirit, and restore him fully to the man of God You created him to be. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We rebuke every spirit of confusion, despair, and oppression that seeks to hinder his healing, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

We also lift up this precious wife, Lord. Strengthen her in body, mind, and spirit. Grant her wisdom from above, which is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy (James 3:17). Father, give her the words to speak life and encouragement into her husband’s life. Let her actions and attitudes reflect Your love and grace, even in moments of difficulty. Remind her that she is not alone, for You are her ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

We pray for this marriage, Lord, that it would be a testimony to Your faithfulness and power. May this couple grow closer to You and to one another through this trial. Help them to lean not on their own understanding, but in all their ways to acknowledge You, and trust that You will direct their paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). We declare that this marriage is built on the rock of Jesus Christ, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it (Matthew 16:18).

Lord, we ask that You would stir this husband’s heart to seek You with renewed fervor. May he draw near to You, and in turn, may You draw near to him (James 4:8). Let him experience the peace that surpasses all understanding, which will guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We pray that he would not only believe in You, Lord, but that he would surrender his life fully to You, trusting in Your promises and resting in Your grace.

We also want to gently remind both of you that true healing and peace come only through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is not enough to simply believe in God; even the demons believe and tremble (James 2:19). We must confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead to be saved (Romans 10:9). Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If either of you has not yet made this commitment, we encourage you to do so today, for today is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2).

In the name of Jesus, we command every spirit of mental illness, anxiety, and depression to flee. We declare that this husband is more than a conqueror through Him who loved him (Romans 8:37). We speak restoration, wholeness, and divine health over his mind, body, and spirit. We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already ours in Christ Jesus. We trust You to complete the good work You have begun in this family, and we give You all the glory, honor, and praise. Amen.

We are so grateful to hear that these days of prayer have sustained you, and that there’s some improvement. We’re not quitting, we’re still here, still praying, and will continue. Thank you for letting us carry this with you.

As you get ready for him to come home, it’s completely natural to feel unsure about what to say or do. You’re not supposed to have a perfect script. Sometimes the most healing thing is simply to be present without trying to fix anything, offering quiet love and a steady presence. That alone speaks volumes.

At the same time, please don’t feel you have to shoulder every practical burden alone. When a spouse is walking through mental illness, the load can get very heavy. One of the healthiest things you can do is let your church family step into this with you in tangible ways, someone to coordinate a meal, a trusted friend who can sit with him so you can rest or run an errand, or just one person who knows the situation and checks in regularly. It’s not weakness; it’s wisdom, and it’s how God often provides care. If there’s someone at your church you can reach out to this week, even just to say “I could use a little backup when he gets home,” that might open a door you didn’t know was there.

Father, we lift up this husband to You now. Clear his mind, whatever confusion, fear, or darkness is stirring, we ask You to bring stillness and clarity. Settle his spirit, calm the internal noise, and help him turn toward You, the God he has always believed in. Give his wife an extra measure of wisdom and gentle instincts for each day. Surround them both with people who will help carry the daily weight. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The prayer that has no order in it, the prayer that seems to reel to and fro because the one who prays is at wit's end, that is a prevailing prayer. You who have tasted of the healing leaves can tell of the Good Physician's power. He is able to heal, and the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. Let your prayer rise to His throne out of the low dungeon. Healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction and both bestowed on the Lord's people when they looked not for them. Only continue to plead. The Master said all that was required in that one sentence, "Your sins are forgiven you," and when that word enters the soul, it brings a tender conscience, a yielding spirit. The healing power was conspicuously present when Christ was teaching; faith comes by hearing. So keep bringing his case beneath the sound of the Word.

You lack wisdom, you say, to know what to say and do. Let her ask of God, that gives to all men liberally, and upbraids not; and it shall be given her. Ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavers is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. Prayer must be our first resource. Go at once to Infinite Wisdom and expect to be guided rightly through all the difficulties of the way. Spread your case before Him, press your suit with all the arguments you can muster, yet always in humility of spirit. The Lord might well upbraid us for our folly, but He gives wisdom ready made if we ask for it. And what is your request but that very asking, that he would ask God to clear and settle his mind. What do ye want the Lord to do for you? That generous question is put to your husband’s soul even now, to set his own mind to work.

God has been a Husband to His people in the faithfulness which He exhibited towards them. He proves His special love by communing with us, providing for us. This very trial is meant to drive you both to a more earnest, loving, longing prayer: Oh, You who are a Husband to my soul, reveal Yourself to us. His prayer was answered, but not in the way he expected. The Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings, and those healing leaves change the spirit, make the nature other than it was. Calvary is the place for the healing balm. Welcome pardon and healing through our Lord Jesus. Let him who is sick unto death, sick in mind and spirit, ask to be forgiven and healing will come from the pardoning hand. God bless you both.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You have done well to seek the prayers of the Church, and you see that those prayers bear fruit. Do not cease, therefore, to ask for them. Prayer is a mighty weapon, and we all need it greatly, not only the weak but even those as strong as Paul. Yet take care not to rely on the prayers of others while you yourself sleep. If we are not watchful, the prayers of a thousand saints will not keep us from shipwreck. You must yourself be on the alert, and when your husband returns, speak and act with the wisdom that comes from above. Arm yourself with prayer early and by night, for each day has its hidden rocks.

Your husband’s mind begins to settle. Give thanks to God for this mercy. But let this improvement drive both of you to cling more tightly to the Lord, for He alone can calm the storm within. Do you not remember how Christ needed no prayer to raise the dead or still the waves, yet He prayed to teach us humility and to draw us to the Father? His power is absolute. He will speak to the raging thoughts, “Peace, be still.” But your husband must himself turn and cry out from his heart. Do not think that an old and idle faith is enough; now is the time for him to call upon the Name of Jesus, which alone has power. Pray that God would clear his mind and settle his heart, but also encourage him to pray for himself, that he may lay hold of the promise with his own voice.

When he comes home, let no root of bitterness remain between you. The sacrifice of prayer offered in enmity is worthless. First be reconciled, and then together offer your supplication. Add to your prayers abundant almsgiving, for alms purge away sins and give wings to repentance. Remember that the God who waited until the fullness of time to rescue us when we were perishing will not abandon you now. Do not despair; in the storm He walks upon the sea. Only be vigilant and do not cease to entreat His mercy, and you will see what He will do for the one who believes.

Your testimony of being sustained by those three days of prayer is a beautiful picture of what it means to lean on the body of Christ. We will not quit praying. The promise we cling to is not that we will always feel strong, but that the One who promised is faithful. When your own faith wavers, His faithfulness holds steady. That is the rock you can count on in the days ahead.

Faith is not something you have to conjure up or manufacture by your own effort. It is a gift, authored and perfected by Christ Himself. There are moments when you face a situation and the Lord simply gives you a calm confidence that it will work out. And there are other moments when that gift of faith feels absent, and you realize just how much you depend on Him for every next step. His strength is made perfect in that very weakness. When your husband comes home and you do not know what to say or do, you can rest in this: the faith you need for that conversation will not come from your own wisdom, but from His supply at the exact moment you need it.

You are praying that your husband would ask the Lord to clear and settle his mind. That is a request rooted in the same kind of faith that has always marked God’s people. Abel offered a more excellent sacrifice not because of his own merit, but because his offering was made in faith. Abraham believed God, and that belief was accounted to him as righteousness. The works that followed proved the genuineness of his trust, but it was the trust itself that God honored. So pray boldly that your husband’s heart would turn to the Lord in simple, dependent faith. Not a religious routine, not a list of words, but the honest cry of a man who knows he cannot clear his own mind and needs God to do it.

The prayer we lift for him echoes the blessing over God’s people: that the Lord would lift up His face upon him and give him peace. Peace and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. These are the gifts we are asking for your home. And remember, you are not called to be the savior of your household. You are called to be a vessel. The same Spirit who empowers extraordinary faith in a crisis empowers the quiet, daily faith to speak a gentle word, to hold your peace, and to walk in love. As you depend on Him, He will direct your path. We are praying with all perseverance for you both.
