Husband/father/son

Beloved of All
Jesus please let my husband remember when he is getting ready for work he needs to leave me the car and not forget and drive it. He agreed the other day to this, and said he will walk to work (it is close) so I can have the car for our son's class. He was being very uncooperatve earlier and I am worried he won' leave the car. There is a chance my father will come over and take us instead and I won't need the car, but I don't know for sure. Please let my husband ask first before he just leaves, and also let him realize how important this class is and how he agreed to this. Please also let my son be cooperative. Thank you Jesus, Amen.

We join you together before the Lord in Jesus' name and we lift up your husband, your son, your father and you in this practical need that weighs on your heart. We hear your concern about the car and your son's class and your desire for cooperation and peace in your home, and we know our Father cares about even these small details of our daily lives.

We are encouraged that you have brought this to Jesus, for He invites us to cast all our cares on Him. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We also remember the call in marriage for husbands and wives to love and honor one another. Ephesians 5:25 says Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for it, and Ephesians 5:33 calls wives to respect their husbands. Part of that love is keeping one's word, as Jesus taught in Matthew 5:37, But let your Yes be Yes and your No be No. We pray your husband will be strengthened to follow through on what he agreed to do, to walk to work since it is close and leave the car for you, and to communicate with you first before leaving so there is no confusion. A gentle reminder spoken in love can help, for Proverbs 15:1 says A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. We understand the disappointment when he seemed uncooperative earlier, and we pray the Lord will soften hearts and bring unity and clear communication between you both.

We also lift up your son and we pray for a spirit of cooperation and obedience, as Colossians 3:20 teaches Children, obey your parents in all things, for this pleases the Lord. And we thank God for your father and his willingness to help, trusting the Lord will provide what you need whether through your husband remembering or your father being able to take you.

We pray together, Father in heaven, we thank You that we can come to You in the name of Jesus Christ. We ask You to touch this husband's heart and mind tonight and in the morning, that he will remember his promise and leave the car as he said he would, and that he will speak kindly with his wife before he leaves for work. Help him to see how important this class is for his son and to act with selfless love for his family. Lord, give this wife peace and take away worry, help her to speak with grace and to trust You with the outcome. Bless this son with a cooperative and cheerful spirit, and keep him in Your peace. Provide clearly through the father if that is Your way, and let Your will be done in this home. Give wisdom to all, as James 1:5 promises You give wisdom generously to those who ask. We ask for unity, patience and love to reign in this marriage and family which You have ordained. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, our Savior and mediator, Amen.

We can hear how heavy this feels tonight, worrying whether the car will be there in the morning and whether your son will get to his class. It makes sense you are holding this tightly, you want to honor an agreement that was made and you want your son to have what he needs.

When mornings are rushed, even good intentions can get missed, and worry can make it harder to talk clearly. We have found a brief, kind check-in the night before or right as the day starts can lower that tension for everyone.

If it helps, you might gently confirm the plan with your husband tonight while things are calm, perhaps deciding together where the keys will stay so there is no confusion, and send a quick check to your father about whether he can be the backup so you are not waiting to find out. A simple "Will you let me know before you leave so I can plan?" can invite cooperation without starting another difficult exchange.

We are praying with you for a peaceful morning.

Jesus, we lift this wife and mother and son to You. Give her husband clarity to remember his word and to check in before he goes, give her father wisdom about helping, and give her son a cooperative spirit tomorrow. Fill their home with calm and kindness and help her rest tonight in Your care. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer concerning your ###, your son and the provision of the car for the class has been laid before the Lord, and it is good that you have brought this temporal care to Him who cares for all the details of His children.

You are anxious lest your ### should forget his promise to walk to work and leave the car for you, and you are uncertain whether your ### will be able to come and help. Have you not found that the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. We are to trust God in temporal things, acting in all prudence and uprightness, and then to rely simply and entirely upon Him. We are not to be idle, nor to be rash, but having done what love and duty require, to leave the issue in His hands.

Our God in whom we trust is not a distant notion, but the living God, a God with a great, warm, loving heart, a thinking, active, working, personal God who comes into the midst of this world. He who commanded the light to shine out of darkness can shine into the heart of a ### to bring to remembrance a promise made in kindness, and into the heart of a child to make him willing and cooperative. Therefore trust in the living God.

Do not make a god out of your feelings nor measure His faithfulness by your fears. You are not to wait until you feel a blaze of joy or see every circumstance settled before you trust Him. You are to trust Him for this very thing, even as you feel the weight of it. As it is written, Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me, for my soul trusts in You, yes, in the shadow of Your wings will I make my refuge until these calamities pass.

Let us pray together.

O merciful Father, You know the need of this wife and mother. Be merciful unto her and her household. We ask that You would graciously incline her ###'s heart to remember his word, to ask before he leaves, and to act with consideration for his wife and son. Grant him a ready mind to keep his promise and to see the importance of this provision for the child. If in Your wisdom You provide through the ### coming to help, we thank You for that kindness also. In either way, make a clear path for this mother and son to attend the class. We ask too that You would give the son a cooperative and gentle spirit, and give his mother patience and peace. Take this anxiety from her and enable her to cast her care upon You, for You care for her. Teach her to trust Your Son at once and to know that whether by one means or another, You will supply what is needed. May this family know Your order and Your grace in their home. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our trust and our salvation. Amen.

Only trust Him, only trust Him, only trust Him now, and you shall find Him faithful in this small thing as in the greatest.

Father, humbly ask for Your power to intervene. Please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, financial needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for sharing this need honestly and for bringing it to the Lord in prayer. We join you in asking Jesus for help in this very practical and important matter for your family.

We pray that your husband will remember his agreement to leave the car for you and to walk to work, that he will ask and communicate clearly before he leaves in the morning, and that he will see how important your son's class is to you. We pray also for your son, that he will be cooperative and peaceful, and for you, that you will have calm and clarity as you care for them both. If it is the Lord's will to provide through your father coming to take you, we thank Him for that provision, and if not, we ask Him to make the way clear with the car.

The Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you, and He calls us not only to pray but also to do our part with love and patience. As one of the homilies reminds us, great are the things prayer can effect, but it is when we ourselves also work and cooperate with what God commands. So continue to pray, and also take the practical steps love allows, speaking kindly and directly with your husband this evening to confirm the plan together, perhaps setting a reminder or placing keys where you both can see them, so that there is no confusion in the busy morning.

God often does not bring His help all at once, but teaches us to wait with faith and patient endurance, as Abraham waited after the promise. This waiting is not wasted. It keeps us watchful and it strengthens our trust that God will do what is good for those who love Him. He does not deceive those He has called, and He will not let you be left without what you truly need, though He may provide it in a way you do not yet expect.

We also remember that God promises good to those who walk worthy of His calling, not to make us careless but to make us hopeful and diligent at the same time. So do not despair if there has been uncooperativeness before, and do not grow weary in doing what is right and speaking the truth in love within your marriage. Your marriage covenant is a good and holy place where such daily faithfulness is learned.

May the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ. May He give your husband a willing and attentive spirit, give your son a gentle and obedient heart, and give you peace as you trust Him with tomorrow.

We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior, who hears and answers according to His perfect wisdom and love. Amen.
