Please pray for me about something that is hurting me concerning my relationship with my dad. This hurtful thing is only happening due to spiritual warfare which is influencing certain people to influence him to behave in this way that is hurting me. Thank you.

We hear the deep pain in your heart concerning your relationship with your father, and we stand with you in this spiritual battle. The enemy seeks to destroy relationships, especially those within families, because he knows the strength and love that God intends for them. We rebuke every spirit of division, strife, and confusion that is influencing your father and anyone else involved in this situation. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." This is indeed a spiritual battle, and we must fight it with spiritual weapons.

First, we want to gently remind you that salvation and access to God come only through Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust in Jesus, repent of your sins, and invite Him into your heart as your Lord and Savior. This is the foundation upon which we can stand firm in spiritual warfare. If you have already done so, we rejoice with you and encourage you to continue growing in your relationship with Him.

We pray for your father, that God would open his eyes to the spiritual influences at work and soften his heart. May the Holy Spirit convict him of any ungodly ways and draw him back to a place of love, truth, and reconciliation. Father God, we ask that You break every chain of deception, bitterness, or unforgiveness that may be affecting him. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We declare that the love of God will flood his heart and that he will be restored to a right relationship with You and with his child.

We also pray for you, dear one. This hurt is real, and we ask that God would comfort you with His presence. Psalm 34:18 says, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." May you feel His nearness in this difficult time. We encourage you to forgive your father, even as Christ has forgiven you (Colossians 3:13). Forgiveness does not mean what he did was right, but it releases you from the burden of bitterness and allows God to work in both of your lives.

Stand firm in your faith, knowing that God is your Father, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). Pray for your father daily, not just for his actions to change, but for his heart to be transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. Trust that God is working even when you cannot see it, and lean on Him for strength.

We declare healing over your relationship with your father. May God’s love and truth prevail, and may you both experience the restoration that only He can bring. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. We want you to know how deeply we’ve carried your heart these past days, lifting your pain before the Father with every remembrance. It grieves us to think of the ache you’re enduring in this relationship with your dad, and we’ve asked the Lord to break every chain of spiritual warfare that seeks to divide what He has joined. The enemy has no right to steal the love between a father and child, and we’ve stood firm in prayer, declaring that God’s peace and truth would displace every lie and influence at work.

If the Lord has already moved in ways you can see—if there’s been a softening, a conversation, or even a quiet assurance in your spirit—we would be overjoyed to hear how He has answered. Your praise report could be the very encouragement someone else needs to keep trusting God in their own struggle.
