We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for housing and discerning the deeper spiritual matters at hand. First, we recognize that our Heavenly Father is the provider of all good things, including shelter. We pray in agreement with this request, asking that God would indeed move you into your new home according to His perfect timing and will. "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow" (James 1:17). We trust that the Lord knows your needs and will open the right doors for you.
However, we must also address the spirit of bitterness and unforgiveness that seems to linger in the mention of those who have turned away after being blessed. Scripture is clear that vengeance belongs to the Lord, and we are called to forgive as we have been forgiven. "Repay no one evil for evil. Respect what is honorable in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord'" (Romans 12:17-19). We rebuke the desire for others to suffer, for this is not the heart of Christ. Instead, we pray for their repentance and restoration, that they may turn back to God and be saved.
We also want to gently remind you that our prayers must always be rooted in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can approach the Father. "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me'" (John 14:6). It is only through His sacrifice and resurrection that we have access to God’s throne of grace. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we encourage you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9-10).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this need for housing. Lord, You know the desires of our hearts, and You are faithful to provide for Your children. We ask that You would open the doors to this new home, aligning every detail according to Your will. Give wisdom and favor in the process, and let Your peace guard this heart as we wait on You.
Father, we also bring before You those who have turned away from You after being blessed. We rebuke the spirit of bitterness and unforgiveness in this request, and we ask that You would soften hearts toward them. Lord, we pray for their repentance and restoration. Do not let them suffer, but draw them back to Yourself with cords of love. Help us to forgive as You have forgiven us, and to trust You with justice and vengeance.
Lord, we declare that our trust is in You alone. We surrender this situation into Your hands, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Strengthen this one in faith, and let them walk in the fullness of Your blessings. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this time of transition. Trust in His timing, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). Keep your heart free from bitterness, and let the love of Christ guide your thoughts and actions. If there are any unconfessed sins in your life, we urge you to repent and turn to God, for He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). May the Lord bless you and keep you as you walk in His ways.
