Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for Your divine intervention in this housing situation. You are the Provider, Jehovah Jireh, and we trust that You will open the right door for this family. Lord, we ask that You soften the hearts of those reviewing the application and grant favor in their eyes. Remove any obstacles that may stand in the way of approval, and let Your will be done. We pray for peace to flood this mother’s heart as she waits, replacing stress with trust in Your timing. "Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved." (Psalm 55:22 WEB)

Think of Noah, God entered into Covenant with him to preserve him and his family alive. The wife of the father of three sons comes into the ark, a queenly dame with her sons and their wives. Oh, you with children about you, advance into this trusting the Lord! If you will really trust my Lord and Master, though your faith is but as a grain of mustard seed, yet, if it is real, you shall have more and more till your faith can move mountains. The matter is urgent, go out quickly to the throne of grace, and then begin to praise Him more and more.

The ache of uncertainty over shelter for your children is a weight that presses the soul to the ground. But let that very pressure drive you to lay hold of God with a holy urgency, like the woman of Canaan who would not be turned away. For though He seemed to refuse her and even called her a dog, she persisted and obtained mercy. Do not let stress move you to distrust His provision; rather, let the pressing need become an occasion for earnest entreaty, not as one who pleases men but as one who seeks the approval of God alone.
Remember that the Lord brought His disciples into a wilderness where there was no bread, not to abandon them but to make them cry out to Him. When they doubted, saying, "Whence should we have so many loaves?" they forgot the hand that feeds the ravens. So now, if the townhouse approval is delayed or denied, it is not an evil. Tribulation works endurance, and endurance produces a character approved by God. The good man, though he suffer loss, knows that his true dwelling is not built by human hands.
Above all, let your children witness in you a faith that does not waver. It is a great work to bring them up in the nurture of the Lord, and that labor will not lose its reward. But if anxiety over a roof overshadows your instruction of them in trust, what have you gained? Teach them now that we look for a city whose builder and maker is God.
