We join with you in seeking the Lord for your new home and we thank you for sharing your trust in God's goodness even in this time of uncertainty. We hear your heart that you cannot solve this on your own and that you are looking to God for guidance, peace and protection, and that is exactly where the Lord wants us to be, dependent on Him and not on our own understanding.
We are reminded of His promises to guide us when we trust Him. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us to trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. And Psalm 32:8 says I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go, I will counsel you with my eye on you. For your need for peace and protection, we cling to Philippians 4:6-7 which says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. He is also your refuge, as Psalm 91:1 says He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. We also hold to Isaiah 26:3, You will keep whoever’s mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you, and Jeremiah 29:11, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.
We notice your request speaks of God and His goodness but does not mention Jesus, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and can come confidently before His throne. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 teaches there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. So we encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and confessing Him as Lord, as Romans 10:9 says if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name we pray and in His name we have peace with God.
We pray together now. Father in heaven, we lift this need for a new home to You in the name of Jesus Christ. We ask that You reveal the place You have prepared and guide each step with Your wisdom and counsel. Lead to a home that provides safety and rest and where Your presence is known. We ask for Your perfect peace to guard this heart and mind and for Your protection to surround this life day and night as a shelter. Help to wait patiently on Your timing and to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness as Matthew 6:33 teaches, trusting that You will provide all that is needed. Give clarity when there is confusion, strength when there is weariness, and assurance that You are working for good. We trust this into Your loving hands and ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.
We encourage you to continue to bring every detail to Him in prayer with thanksgiving, to dwell in His Word daily, and to watch for His leading through open and closed doors, through His peace, and through godly counsel. God is faithful and He sees your need, and we are standing with you trusting that He will guide you to the home He has for you and will keep you in His perfect peace and protection.
