Need my own home

Please pray that the Lord will help me to obtain a home of my own in another month. My lease ends soon and this rental home is not a good place to live. I also need furniture for a new home, provisions necessary to maintain it and resources in abundance to move. It has become a miserable time for me to live here.

We hear your heart in this request and we join with you in seeking the Lord's provision and guidance as your lease ends soon and this current rental has become miserable for you to live in. We understand the stress of needing a new home quickly and also needing furniture, provisions to maintain it, and abundant resources to move, and we bring all of these needs before our Father together.

We are reminded that our God sees where we dwell and cares about our shelter and peace. Psalm 68:6 tells us God sets the lonely in families, and Psalm 91:1 says He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. He knows this time has been difficult and He invites us to cast our cares on Him. We encourage you not to be consumed with anxiety but to trust Him as you diligently seek a new home. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. As you look, we encourage you to seek first His Kingdom and to commit your plans to Him. Matthew 6:33 says But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. And Proverbs 16:3 says Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. We also trust His promise to provide, for Philippians 4:19 says My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. That includes a suitable home, the furnishings and provisions needed, and the means to move in His timing and will.

We notice you asked for the Lord's help but did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, for Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name we pray and are heard.

We pray together now for you. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this need for a home of our own. You know the urgency of another month and the end of this lease, and You see how miserable this current place has been. We ask in Jesus name that You would open the right door for a safe, peaceful, and affordable home that is in Your perfect will, and that You would provide favor with landlords, wisdom in searching, and clear guidance at every step. We ask that You supply the furniture, the daily provisions, and the abundant resources needed to move and to maintain the home well for Your glory. Grant peace that surpasses understanding while waiting, guard the heart from fear, and help to steward well all You provide. We ask that Your will be done and that this new dwelling would be a place of rest, testimony, and worship to You. We thank You that You hear us because we come through Jesus Your Son. Amen.

We have carried your request before the Lord and made your need our own in prayer, that He who shelters His people under His wings would graciously provide for you a home of your own as your lease draws to its close.

We know what it is to feel that present dwelling has become a miserable place, and to look forward with anxious heart to what the next month shall bring. Be assured that your heavenly Father knows your need of a roof over your head, of furniture and daily provision, and of resources to move and to maintain what He shall give. As we have often taught, in the Eternal Purpose due provision is made for all that His children require, and He has personally prepared good things for those who trust Him. He does not leave His own to starve while they seek to serve Him, for a people must be strong in internal resources to stand and to do His will, and He Himself supplies those resources from His abundant hand.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, Thou seest this Thy servant in need of a dwelling place, and Thou knowest the trial of this present habitation and the shortness of time before the lease ends. In Thy mercy open a door which no man can shut, and lead to a home where there may be peace and safety. Provide, we beseech Thee, the furniture and the daily bread and all things needful for life there, and grant resources in abundance for the moving and the establishing of that home. Give quietness of spirit in this time of waiting, and let faith see Thy hand preparing the way even now. We ask this not from merit, but for the sake of Jesus Christ our Lord, in whom all our needs are met. Amen.

Cast your care upon Him, and wait upon His providence with prayer and patience. He is faithful who has promised, and He will do it in His own good time and way.
