Disciple of Prayer
Pray daily to Lord God to take me home to relieve me from this life.A long life , and I am suffering greatly.

We hear the deep anguish in your words, and our hearts ache with you in this time of suffering. You are not alone, we stand with you in prayer, lifting your pain before the throne of grace. The weight of a long life filled with hardship is not something to bear in silence, and we want you to know that your cry has been heard.

First, we must gently but firmly address the desire to depart this life. Scripture teaches us that our days are numbered by the Lord, and it is He who gives and takes away life (Job 1:21). While we empathize with your pain, we cannot pray for God to end your life prematurely. Instead, we pray for His comfort, strength, and purpose to sustain you through this valley. The psalmist cried out, "My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to your word" (Psalm 119:28). Even in despair, God’s Word offers hope and renewal.

We also want to remind you that your life has value and purpose, even when it feels unbearable. The Lord declares, "For I know the plans I have for you... plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11). Even in suffering, He may be refining you, preparing you, or using your testimony to touch others. We do not always understand His ways, but we trust in His goodness.

If you have not already, we urge you to seek support from trusted believers, pastors, or Christian counselors who can walk beside you in this season. Isolation can amplify despair, but fellowship and prayer can bring light into the darkness. The enemy would love to keep you in a place of hopelessness, but Jesus came to give life abundantly (John 10:10). He is the Good Shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to find the one lost sheep (Luke 15:4-6). You are that sheep, and He is pursuing you with love.

We also want to gently ask: Have you placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? If not, we pray that you would consider the free gift of salvation He offers. The Bible tells us, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). Jesus bore our sins and sorrows on the cross so that we might have peace with God. If you have never surrendered your life to Him, we encourage you to do so today. He is the only way to the Father (John 14:6), and in Him, you will find true rest for your soul.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is enduring great suffering. Lord, You see their pain, their weariness, and their longing for relief. We ask that You would draw near to them in this dark hour and wrap them in Your comforting arms. Strengthen them according to Your Word, and remind them that their life has purpose and value in Your eyes.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness that seeks to overwhelm them. We declare that You are the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles (2 Corinthians 1:3-4). Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).

Lord, if they have not yet placed their trust in Jesus, we pray that You would open their heart to receive Your Son. May they experience the saving grace of Christ and the hope of eternal life with You. Surround them with believers who can encourage and support them, and lead them to resources that can help carry their burdens.

We ask for Your healing touch, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual, and for Your will to be done in their life. Give them the strength to endure, the faith to trust, and the hope to press on. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Please know that we are here for you, and we will continue to pray for you. You are not forgotten, and God has not abandoned you. If you are open to it, we encourage you to reach out to a local church or Christian community where you can find support and encouragement. You do not have to walk this path alone.

We hear the weight in your words, and we are so sorry you are carrying this much pain. The ache that makes someone pray daily for God to take them home is not a small thing, it’s the cry of a heart that feels utterly worn down and alone in the suffering. We want you to know we are with you in that heaviness, and you don’t have to face it all by yourself right now.

If you are in immediate danger or feel you might harm yourself, please reach out to your local emergency services or find a confidential helpline in your country at findahelpline.com. Trained people are ready to listen and support you, even in the darkest moments.

Suffering can so easily isolate us and make the future feel like a blank wall. In our own times of deep distress, many of us have found that simply having someone physically present, someone who doesn’t need to fix anything but just stays near, can soften the edges of the pain. Is there a trusted friend, family member, or pastor you might invite into your space this week, not to lecture you, but just to sit with you? Sometimes the most healing thing we can experience is silent, steady companionship, the kind that reminds us we are not forgotten.

We are praying for you now: Lord Jesus, we come before You on behalf of this dear person. You see the depth of their exhaustion and the longing for relief. Please wrap them in Your peace that surpasses understanding. Raise up someone near them who will come alongside with gentle presence and practical help. Protect them from hopelessness, and let tiny glimmers of Your goodness break through, even in this heavy season. Give them courage to take one safe step toward support today. We trust You with their future, even when they cannot. In Your name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The cry of a weary heart reaches the throne of grace before it ever trembles on the lips. Longing for home is no strange thing when the battle has raged long and the wounds run deep. Yet mark this well, the rest you seek is not found in the mere laying down of the body, but in the presence of Him who gives rest to the soul even now. "Come unto Me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." That promise is for this very moment, not only for the hour of departure. If He gives you no rest for your body as yet, to your soul He will, and that soul-rest is the sure prelude to the everlasting rest in heaven where they know even as they are known.

We speak of going home, but let us not imagine that heaven is merely an escape from pain. To be fit for heaven a man must be perfect, and that fitness is God’s own work, not ours. He that wrought us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the earnest of the Spirit. The more we get of Christ, the more foretastes of heaven we enjoy, the more preparation we receive in lively hope. It is not enough to wish for the end of suffering, there must be a hungering for the Lord Himself. This is the prayer of faintness, when the tongue fails for thirst, and the heart pants as the parched ground. "I must have You," the soul whispers, and though no word is heard, it is the most blessed prayer that falls on the Father’s ear.

That silent heart-cry, "Lord, help me," is a prayer for everybody, a prayer for every place, a prayer to die with. It is the petition of one who has no hope in heaven or earth apart from Christ. And He who hears such pleading will not, cannot, let the suppliant perish. He that prayed for Peter before the temptation came, praying, "I have prayed for you," lives forever to intercede for all who believe on Him through their word. Your name is on His heart, and His prayer is prevenient, going before every trial, sustaining in every faintness. Shall you not trust Him to guide even unto death, and over death? He will be your Guide at death, yes, and over death.

The rest you crave is already His gift, but He may choose to give it in degrees. First, rest to the conscience, then rest growing into the perfect peace of the eternal Sabbath. God sees His eternal purposes fulfilled in the bringing of many sons to glory, and there He finds most blessed rest. Yet the church in heaven is not made perfect without us, there is a body yet to be joined to the Head in full number. Your hoary head is whitening for the harvest, but while you linger, join in the prayer of the Psalmist: "Will You not revive us again?" Even in the dullness and weakness, cry out for enlargement of heart, for a glimpse of His face shining upon your sanctuary.

Do not let the desire for release become a sullen demand. The heavenly rest is not a mere cessation of toil, but an eternal delight in the Triune God. If there were honor for the Father, but none for the Son and the Spirit, it could never be the Lord’s rest. And so, look to Him whom you have pierced, mourn for Him as for a firstborn, and in that holy bitterness find sweetness. He made man not out of necessity, but for His good pleasure, and He will complete His work. Cast your burden on the Lord, you have done so before, and you may say with confidence, "I have found relief." That word of yours, joined to His Word, becomes a staff to lean upon.

The prayer of the faint is heard, even when it has no power to voice itself. "Lord, will You let me die?", no, He will not, for now comes the step upward. You have already taken it in that silent heart-prayer. So pray on, not only for yourself but for His people, that His face may shine upon the sanctuary, and that your own longing may be lost in a greater yearning for His glory. The God of peace be with you. Amen.

You pour out your heart asking to be taken home, and I do not make light of your pain. A long life full of suffering wears down the body and the spirit, and the daily burden can seem more than you can bear. But consider this: the very gift you are asking God to end is the time in which He is working your salvation. His long-suffering is not neglect; it is the space He gives to bring forth in you a great and patient soul. A spark falling into the deep sea does not harm the ocean, it is quenched at once. So it is with a soul that has learned divine long-suffering. Whatever sudden grief falls upon it, the soul is not disturbed. That kind of soul is more secure than a walled city, mightier than armies or money. And it is born of love.

Think of Pharaoh, who enjoyed much long-suffering, yet grew harder. And of the rich man who had his ease in this life and found no comfort afterward. Not all suffering leads to ruin; often it is the very medicine that heals the soul. The Apostle Paul called himself the chief of sinners, yet obtained mercy precisely so that God might display all His long-suffering, as an example for those who would believe. His endurance was not wasted; his chains became a crown. And if you fix your eyes on the Lord Jesus, you see One who was made lower than the angels for the suffering of death, and then crowned with glory and honor. His three days in the grave were brief; His glory eternal. Your present sorrow is likewise a little while, measured against the weight of glory being prepared.

You feel you cannot go on, but His strength is made perfect in weakness. Like a ship sailing with favorable winds, a soul steadied by the Holy Spirit cuts through the waves of this life without sinking, without forcing those on board to toil in despair. The Paraclete fills the sails. Do not ask the Captain to scuttle the ship before it reaches the harbor. The long voyage is not pointless, it carries a cargo of virtues and prayers and unseen victories that will be your joy in the homeland.

So I urge you: instead of begging God daily to shorten your days, pray rather for the long-suffering that turns suffering into an offering. Say to Him, “Lord, You have endured me with much patience. Give me now a share of Your own unshakable patience. Let my affliction not be wasted, but make me a vessel of mercy, ripened for glory.” He who numbers your tears will not keep you one hour beyond what love ordains. But until that hour, stand firm. The same Lord who will subject all things under His feet has gone before you through death and into life. He will bring you through.
