🧎🏽‍♂️"We bow our knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, asking The Father would grant us, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power and might through His Spirit in the inner person, that Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith; that we, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all those God has sanctified, what is the width and length and depth and height — to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that we may be filled up and overflowing with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly beyond all that we ask or imagine, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen, Eph 3:14-21."

We rejoice in your heartfelt cry to the Father, echoing the apostle Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 3:14-21. This passage is a profound declaration of God’s desire to fill us with His Spirit, strengthen us with His power, and reveal the immeasurable love of Christ. We stand with you in agreement, lifting this prayer before the throne of grace, for it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and the fullness of His promises.

Heavenly Father, we bow our knees before You, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. We ask You, according to the riches of Your glory, to grant us to be strengthened with power through Your Spirit in our inner beings. May Christ dwell in our hearts through faith, so that we, being rooted and grounded in love, may have the strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and height and depth of the love of Christ, this love that surpasses knowledge. Father, fill us to overflowing with all the fullness of God. We declare that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us. To You be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

This prayer is a beautiful reminder that our strength does not come from ourselves but from the Holy Spirit who dwells within us. The apostle Paul’s words in Ephesians 3:16-17 emphasize that it is God’s power, not our own, that enables us to walk in faith and love. When we feel weak, weary, or overwhelmed, we must remember that Christ’s presence in our hearts is our source of strength. His love is not something we can fully grasp with our human understanding, but as we seek Him, He reveals more of Himself to us, filling us with His fullness.

We encourage you to meditate on this passage daily, allowing the truth of God’s Word to renew your mind and transform your heart. The dimensions of Christ’s love, width, length, depth, and height, are vast and eternal. His love is wide enough to encompass all people, long enough to last forever, deep enough to reach the lowest sinner, and high enough to lift us to heavenly places. When we are filled with this love, we cannot help but overflow with it, touching the lives of those around us.

Let us also address a critical truth here: the foundation of this prayer is the name of Jesus Christ. It is through Him alone that we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the first and most important step in experiencing the fullness of God’s Spirit and the dimensions of Christ’s love.

As we walk in the power of the Holy Spirit, let us also guard our hearts against anything that would hinder our relationship with God. The apostle Paul warns us in Ephesians 4:30, "Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption." Sin, unconfessed and unrepented, can quench the work of the Spirit in our lives. If there are areas of your life that do not align with God’s Word, whether it be unforgiveness, bitterness, sexual immorality, idolatry, or any other sin, we encourage you to repent and turn away from those things. The Holy Spirit is our Helper, and He will empower us to live holy and righteous lives if we submit to Him.

We also rebuke any lies from the enemy that would seek to convince you that you are not worthy of God’s love or that His power is not available to you. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Do not listen to the voice of condemnation or doubt. Instead, stand on the truth of God’s Word, which declares that you are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you (Romans 8:37). You are a child of God, joint-heirs with Christ, and the Holy Spirit dwells within you to empower you for every good work.

Let us close with a prayer of declaration and empowerment:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of Your Holy Spirit, who strengthens us, guides us, and fills us with Your power. We declare that Christ dwells in our hearts by faith, and we are rooted and grounded in Your love. Father, we ask You to open our eyes to see the dimensions of Christ’s love, its width, length, depth, and height. Fill us to overflowing with Your fullness, so that we may be vessels of Your love and power to a world in need. We rebuke every lie of the enemy that would seek to diminish Your work in our lives. We declare that we are strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Empower us, Holy Spirit, to walk in holiness, to love others as You have loved us, and to fulfill the calling You have placed on our lives. To You be all glory, honor, and praise, now and forever. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

What a beautiful way to come before the Father, to simply rest in Paul’s prayer and make it your own. We love that you’ve shared this with the community, because it reminds all of us where our strength and hope truly lie. This is not a wishful thought; it’s a prayer the Spirit delights to answer. He is the one who strengthens the inner person and makes Christ at home in our hearts, and He pours the love of God into us so that we can begin to grasp how wide and long and high and deep that love really is.

Something you might find grounding is to take a few quiet minutes and slowly turn this passage into a personal prayer, pausing after each phrase to let it sink in. As you do, you can name specific areas of your life where you need that strength or a fresh taste of Christ’s love. You might also consider writing out the passage and placing it where you’ll see it throughout the day, a reminder that God is at work beyond what you can ask or imagine.

We’re grateful that you’ve led us all to bow our knees with you. Let’s keep asking the Father together, confident that He gives generously and without finding fault.

Father, we join our hearts with this request and bow before You, the source of every family in heaven and on earth. Strengthen this dear one and all of us with power through Your Spirit in our inner being. Make Christ truly at home in our hearts as we trust in Him. Root us deep in Your love, and give us the ability to grasp the immeasurable dimensions of Christ’s love, even when it surpasses knowledge, so that we may be filled to overflowing with all Your fullness. To You who can do far more than we can ask or dream, be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus forever. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

When you bow your knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, pleading that He would strengthen you with might by His Spirit in the inner man, you are asking for that which is according to the riches of His glory. This is no small petition; it is a cry for the very fullness of God. And what is that strength for? That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. Mark that: not a passing visit, but a perpetual indwelling. How does Christ dwell in us but by His Word? Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly. That Book is not one among many; it is the Word of the Word, the very speech of God. If you let it abide as a constant friend, you will know Him better, and knowing, you will love Him more. The love of God’s law brings great peace because it trembles at His voice and rejoices in it as one that finds great spoil.

You long to comprehend the breadth, length, depth, and height of Christ’s love, a love that passes knowledge. Do not despair that it surpasses your understanding; what the mind cannot grasp, the heart apprehends. You know your love to a dear one, it is but a rill; His love is the ocean. Remember it: He loved us when we were without claim, without appeal. He died for us, knowing full well that the love in us must be kindled by His own flame. Think of Him speaking to you, “I have loved you with an everlasting love.” Will you question it? God loves His people emphatically, peculiarly. If He smiles, it is love; if He chastens, it is love still.

To be filled with all the fullness of God! This is the bounty of Christ. In Him dwells all fullness, Deity and perfect manhood, grace for the sinner and strength for the saint. Of His fullness have all we received, grace upon grace. There is fullness of comfort in affliction, guidance in perplexity, and power to conquer sin. When guilt pressed you, you saw in Christ God’s salvation; when the power of sin raged, you found afresh that He saves to the uttermost. Now, rooted and grounded in love, you may come to that peace which keeps the heart, and that holy boldness which says, “Now to him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all we ask or think, to him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages.”

Let your love to Him be inflamed. Fall at His dear feet; spend and be spent for Him who gave Himself for you. And in all your asking, remember this: the vineyard is His, and He loves it. He will bless the keepers of its fruit. Look forth from your own soul to the whole church, and pray that all may know that love which constrains, that the entire family in heaven and earth may be one in the bond of love, to the praise of the glory of His grace.

You set before us a prayer of breathtaking depth, asking to be strengthened by the Spirit so that Christ may dwell in your heart, to grasp the immeasurable love of Christ, and to be filled with all the fullness of God. This is indeed a request worthy of the riches of His glory, for it seeks not earthly comforts but the very indwelling of the Holy Trinity. Yet do not be surprised if the fulfillment of such things passes beyond your present understanding. As the Apostle himself prayed for the faithful to comprehend this love, so you too must rely not on human reasonings but on the Spirit's enlightenment.

The love of Christ surpasses knowledge, and that is why Paul kneels and prays for power through the Spirit in the inner person. It is a sign of your right mind that you long for this, but remember: the Spirit must first shed abroad the love of God in your heart before you can begin to take its measure. You do not labor to earn this gift; it is poured out from the profusion of divine love before our struggles. Therefore, do not be confounded by the greatness of your request or by any storms of thought. Give place to God's providence, and flee vice, holding fast to virtue. For where the Spirit is, there Christ is, and where Christ is, the body becomes dead to sin, and the spirit is life because of righteousness. This transformation does not happen all at once, but as you yield to the Spirit's work, you will find the race of virtue run with ease.

You ask to be filled to all the fullness of God. This is nothing less than to be filled with every virtue, of which God Himself is full. And this fullness comes not by your own straining, but by the indwelling Christ. For if Christ dwells in your heart through faith, you possess the One who contains all treasures. Do not seek signs or feelings; seek to walk in the righteousness that the Spirit supplies. The love you yearn to know is the very love that stoops to make you a son of God, a brother of Christ, an angel from a man. Already, before you have fully struggled, the fountain of blessings has been opened. So hope does not make ashamed, because it rests not on your worthiness but on God's love.

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly beyond all you ask or imagine, according to the power that works in you, be glory in the Church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

What a beautiful prayer to bring before the Father, drawn straight from the heart of Scripture. When you ask for the Spirit’s strength in the inner person, for Christ to settle down and be at home in your heart through faith, and to be rooted and grounded in love, you are reaching for the very thing God delights to give. This is not a distant hope; it is the life of the Spirit within every believer. The same Spirit who raised Christ from the dead is the One who strengthens us with power, not as a momentary feeling but as a deep, abiding reality.

How can you know that Christ truly dwells in your heart? Here is the confidence: He has given us His Spirit. And the Spirit’s presence is not hidden or silent. The fruit He bears is love, the kind of love that is of God Himself. That is how we recognize the Spirit of truth. Not by extraordinary signs, but by a growing, active love for the family of God and for the things of God. This is a love you cannot manufacture on your own. Many have tried to conjure it by sheer will, only to find themselves empty. But when the Spirit fills you, He pours in a love that surpasses natural affection, a love that prays for the unlovely, serves without fanfare, and constrains you to reach out with the good news of Jesus Christ.

You long to know the width and length and depth and height of Christ’s love, that love which passes mere intellectual knowledge. The word “know” there means to know by experience. You cannot grasp it fully by study alone, and no one can explain it to you in a way that settles the soul. You must taste it. And you will taste it as you walk in the Spirit, as you practice loving in deed and in truth. When you love your brothers and sisters with actions, not just words, you assure your heart before God. You realize you are of the truth, and He abides in you. This is how we know we have passed from death into life, because the Spirit births in us a real, sacrificial love for others. It flows from His own love for us.

Be encouraged that the prayer in Ephesians 3 is according to God’s will. When the Spirit prays within you with groanings too deep for words, you are aligning with that will. He is the one who can do exceedingly abundantly beyond all we ask or imagine. In your daily battle with the flesh, remember that faith works through love. Let the Spirit put the old man to death and strengthen you to walk in love, for love is the fulfillment of Christ’s new commandment. All the aspects of the Spirit’s fruit are simply love’s own qualities, joy is love’s consciousness, peace is love’s confidence.

So keep bowing your knees to the Father. Keep asking to be filled to overflowing with all His fullness. As you do, look for the evidence: a deepened love for the children of God, a quiet witness within that testifies Jesus Christ has come in the flesh and is your life, and a hope that does not waver. The love of Christ constrains us, assures us, and will be unfolding in ever greater richness through all the ages to come. May your heart be firmly rooted in that love, knowing that He who promised is faithful, and that His Spirit is working in you now to make this prayer your daily reality.
