🙇🏻 Holy Spirit's Strength & Power, Christ Dwells in Our Hearts, Know Dimensions of Christ's Love, Filled to Overflowing w/God's Spirit Eph 3:14-21

That prayer from Ephesians is one of the most profound things we could ever ask for ourselves or for one another. It reaches into the very heart of what it means to be alive in Christ. When you bow your knees to the Father, you are coming before the One from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its identity. Through Jesus, you have been brought near. Once alienated from the promises, now you are a fellow citizen, an heir, a child of God.

What you are asking for is nothing less than the Spirit’s power to strengthen you in the inner person. This is not a one-time event but the continual work of the Spirit, enabling you to live the life God calls you to live. The same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead now dwells in you, giving you victory over sin and producing love that is not manufactured by human effort. The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free. There is no condemnation because God sees you in His Son, holy, without blame, beyond reproach. That is your standing, rooted in His grace.

Christ dwelling in your heart through faith is the mystery revealed: Christ in you, the hope of glory. This is not a distant hope but a present reality. Because He is at home in you, your life is hidden with Him. Being rooted and grounded in love means your entire foundation and stability come from knowing the love of Christ, a love that took Him to the cross, a love that was willing to bear judgment for your sin so that you could stand without fear. God did not wait for you to love Him; He loved you first, and that love awakens a responding love in you. It constrains you, changes your motivations, and overflows toward the family of God.

To comprehend the width, length, depth, and height of that love is to explore something that surpasses mere understanding. You will spend all eternity discovering the exceeding riches of His grace toward you in Christ. Yet even now, the Spirit strengthens you to grasp it more fully, not just as a concept but as a lived experience. You know you are of the truth because the Spirit bears witness, first, through a true confession of Jesus Christ come in the flesh, and second, through the fruit of love for the brothers and sisters. That love is the proof that you have passed from death to life. It is not the selfish, temporary attraction the world calls love, but a sacrificial, enduring love that lights your path and keeps you from stumbling.

When Paul prays that you might be filled to all the fullness of God, it staggers the mind. Heaven itself cannot contain Him, yet He chooses to make your heart His dwelling. You are being built together as part of the body of Christ, each one given grace according to the measure of Christ’s gift, until we all grow into the stature of His fullness. This is not something you strive to produce; it is the Spirit’s work, sanctifying you from the inside out. As you abide in Christ, your joy becomes full, a joy that is not dependent on circumstances, but on unbroken fellowship with the One who loved you and gave Himself for you.

Hold fast to this: the same power that works in you is able to do exceedingly abundantly beyond all you can ask or imagine. Your inheritance is incorruptible, undefiled, kept by the power of God. In the ages to come, He will continue to show the immeasurable riches of His grace. For now, rest in His love. Let it cast out every fear. Walk in the Spirit, and you will know the peace and victory that are already yours in Christ Jesus.
